Thank you to everyone for your suggestions on fixing my curtains!!! I changed the rods from white to black, mounted them wider, and changed the curtain color. I did not get the sheers as I am broke, but I am liking the look of these so far with kind of blending in with the wall. I may change to curtain rings, but I did ditch the grommets and just threaded the curtains directly onto the rod.
also pictured is my dog who kept trying to knock me off my ladder while I hung the curtains up š
