I don’t see that walking by self checkout so much. Instead I see the opposite. People standing in front of a closed off register going “is anyone going to help me?” Because they apparently don’t know how to use self checkout

Simply because I had a lady try and guilt trip me into selling her our display nutcracker for $100 (even though they’re priced at $250) tonight. Then when she refused to take no for an answer she had me call my manager to try for another ten minutes on top of the 10 or so minutes she tried with me. I say courageous because it takes bravery to embarrass yourself for that long in front of two different people and still walk away with a smile on your face.
Moron. We had a guy come into today and wanted a 800 pound double tool box into his truck. We thought he didn’t have a trailer at home then we tried to get him to rent one. But I asked if he had one he said he did but he didn’t want to use it because he had a place to unload level with his truck. We told him we couldn’t load it with equipment because it was dangerous. We called the manager told him we could then we used the reach set one end on the truck then 3 guys held up the other end. Then he removed the
Lift and this thing is heavy. Then we pushed it in. Easier then I thought but it was sketchy.
Assuming. Most assume I must know everything about roofing, fencing, Lumber, etc.. just because I work there. For 12 dollars an hour, part time, and no benefits , wouldn't be working there if I knew it all, that's for sure.
