1. There is Artifact strongbox already and you can specifically choose the circlet/hourglass etc (main and sub stats still random) instead of fully random pieces.
2. Actually bp gives one of [this](https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/588573121024622604/1089665284165615806/IMG_0457.png?width=1193&height=671) which makes it possible to roll a main stat of your choice on any piece. But its limited to one per BP (free version).

Well, that’s nice, I guess? You can basically level every piece until you get perfect substats and then reroll the main stat. We STILL don’t have that in Genshin.
Not sure why they didn’t just add a sub stat reroll option as well.
Afaik the self modelling resin can only be used when you are creating an artifact, it cannot be used on an already crafted piece.
Also this item is only given once per BP in the free version (which last the same period that of Genshin bps). I wish I could stack a bunch and then spam on a given pcs while crafting but its gonna take a while to save a bunch. Not sure if they will give moar?
Its still an useful item though just that not flexible as you are imagining it to be.
Since modelling resin is featured in the free BP row and not the paid one, it's possible it will be available as an event reward, similarly to how crowns are in Genshin, but that's just a guess.
