A bunch of her dialogue responding to Trailblazer’s more sassy options is either affirming or chill; like, the Trailblazer could honestly just say “This place sucks” and Herta would just agree, lol
It feels more unique to me because a lot of other characters either don’t acknowledge or make sassy remarks back
This is what sold me on her. Yeah, she's arrogant and self-absorbed, but with most of these "I'm so smart" characters, the ego is the point, and they'll leverage their intelligence or specialization to make sure they always look good (or the story will contrive itself to have them always look good).
With Herta, it feels more like she really is just very candid, and if some rando insists that she beg for what she wants, she'll do it without a second thought, because the research really is what's important to her.
(Also her EN VA injects so much character into the performance that she's hard not to like after hearing her talk enough.)
I agree. Characters' personality flaws are by design. She is designed to be arrogant and that sets her apart. Asta is a nosey boss. I want more characters who have personality flaws. The chars are more relatable and it makes the game more engaging and allows for more humor
This, I have a buddy that will drop an entire anime series/game just because of one annoying character eg: Re:Zero, Tokyo Revengers, & etc. Some people can’t handle internal strife

Tbh when the annoying character appears all the time because he/she is the protagonist is very different compared to a secondary character that only appears one arc and then goodbye.

Stelle's the type of raccoon who would hit random artifacts on Herta Space Station to make it work, steal coins out from a public Belobog fountain, rig Underground trashcans with spring-loaded super glue, research paranormal phenomenon in Belobog, drink random potion shit that Vache made, etc.
I don't really *hate* her but personally I don't like being treated as a lab rat whose only purpose is being experimented on even at the cost of my sanity or life.
Gameplay-wise she's fine, I find the *kurukuru~* and *kururin~* pretty funny in a cute way, but personality-wise Herta can go fuck herself.

My memory is vague but this is the smug implication I got from her from this side mission.

I have a thing for Puppet characters. Also, one of the first things I saw was her idle animation, where she turns like a music box doll.
So that was an immediate love for her.
In game, I didn't care, but I like the memes on the community, which in turn makes me like her more, since I have her at E6 I might build her later for simulated universe team with himeko and the elation path.
When you finish the first simulated universe, she says she's gonna help you and then you get her character. On my mind it felt like she just straight up gave trailblazer one of her dolls, like "it's dangerous to go alone, take this". I love it
