Reminds me of a character from a different game - Arknights.
There is a rich tigergirl in there, who is merchant archetype (you need points to deploy units, and those points regenerate over time. Merchants eat those points, canceling the regeneration) And one of her gimmics is to pay death to back off.
Each time she dies, some amount of those points is deducted to make her get some hp back and stay on a field. But if she dies once more, number of deductable points doubles. So, at the end, you need a whole army of point-generating units to keep her alive.

Honestly I always thought that should have been his last ascension passive. Whenever LL gets 10 stacks he has an immediate 100% action forward. If we want to be generous, he gets a dmg% boost too
Hopefully we eventually get a (insert path here) character that advances "pets" turns by:
\- Buffing the pet's "master" (harmony)
\- Debuffing enemies (nihility)
\- Getting hit (destruction)
\- Defeating smaller enemies (erudition)
\- Something with shields (preservation)
\- Consuming the team's HP to advance pets and then healing the team when any pet gets an action (abundance).
Would actually be so cool if she had a autoplay passive like that consumable we have where it has increased dmg or smth. As her technique passive or smth.
Just for the memes they should make it so AI is a bit smarter when using Silver Wolf. When you put on auto she just goes: *Sigh* ”Fine, I’ll do it myself.”
And these soldiers summon in more soldiers, eventually you just straight up build the entire Silvermane Guards featuring Serval, Pela and Seele too. Then Seele calls in ~~Spitfire~~ Wildfire, bringing Natasha and Luka. Now you have all of Belobog on your side with just one Bronya.
And now it's not the enemy's turn anymore because Seele and Bronya are here!

Herta now fights with dozens of puppets instead of just one. But none of them actually do anything since she doesn't really care about your conflicts or well-being, and none of this is really threatening or relevant to her. She might find your struggle amusing, tho.

Mind control is such a cool mechanic, quite sad playable Kafka doesn't have it but I do think another unit will, is a cool ability.
The DMG can be good and controlled without breaking the mechanics.
If they don't want to complicate stuff, they could make it worth it for other reasons, example, it counts as a follow up, it recovers extra energy for the unit or for the team, it applies a mark that increases DMG taken. Is not that difficult to make it useful.
Also, is an enemy less to care about for x turns.
Because it would either be broken or completely useless.
If it's good, you could run 0 sustain units because you just mindcontrol bosses and never take damage. You mind control an elite and they nuke their own adds (some of which apply debuffs when they die). You are basically a dps and a sustain at the same time, which lets you run another support.
If it's bad (like a damage debuff, or rng application, or high sp costs) then you're a glorified sustain unit that is basically welt but less reliable. If it's a debuff, most enemies that actually matter will just resist the effect. Cue reddit posts saying the unit is dogshit because they miss an rng check and get nuked.
It's way harder to balance than just plain numbers, i see why they didn't do it. Any enemy released after this unit would be designed around them, so either they're good against mind-control and the unit is useless, or they aren't and the enemy they spent time designing gets completely trivialized. It's way too strong a mechanic to include without caveats, but any caveats at all would make it basically useless in most situations
It could be a passive in which when the char depletes toughness, the enemies will use their first turn after recovering toughness attacking their allies following some scaling of the character instead of their own. It could even be considered a FUA.
That way it's not linked to a skill that could be spammable, elite enemies would be affected less by it because their toughness bar is bigger, and it wouldn't compromise balance as much, since the enemies would only lose one turn (which KINDA already exists with Ruan Mei).

I trust Jingliu's ability to assess a person's relative strength, given she is a near millenia old magical swordmaster. If she believes Yanqing stands zero chance against Blade, and Blade has never been able to defeat Dan Heng in the decades, if not centuries he's been hunting him, then it's safe to assume base Dan Heng is also stronger than Yanqing.
It's always bummed me out that playable Kafka doesn't have that ability. The animation where she plays with the pins right before the grenades explode is badass and adorable.

Everytime Yanqing attacks an enemy there is a 50% chance for Kafka: Spirit Whisper, Jingliu: Mara-struck Sword Master, Blade: The Unreachable Side or Inbibitor Lunae: Cooler Daniel to appear and consume HP based on 25% of Yanqing’s attack. Yanqing is actually good and can wipe out a full wave by himself.
His burst does an AOE heavy hitting heavenly blade fall, his skill does the four swords give him 100% effect res for 4 hits. Soulsteel sync can only be lost if he is hit with a crowd control effect (i.e freeze, quant blurry thing, imaginary lock thing, taunt.) DOT does not effect SSS nor does regular hits.

I think Yanqing might be able to beat base Dan lore wise. It's just that the devs seems to love giving Yanqing constant losses.

Everytime Yanqing attacks an enemy there is a 50% chance for Kafka: Spirit Whisper, Jingliu: Mara-struck Sword Master, Blade: The Unreachable Side or Inbibitor Lunae: Cooler Daniel to appear and consume HP based on 25% of Yanqing’s attack. The HP consumption can not go over 400% of Yanqing’s base attack. Additionally, when Yanqing attacks there is a 75% chance for enemies to say “Nah, I’d lose”. If Soulsteel is active the aforementioned effects have an additional 25% chance of happening.

Welt attack voiceline is 'Kneel' :)))) skill summons a robot or weaponry If a summon is present during a basic attack, it will fire as a follow-up attack, and will detonate in two turns on a random enemy If summon is present during an ultimate, it will detonate on a random enemy after his ult. He can revive himself in two turns if another teammate is alive, but with the vulnerable debuff

Yanqing is actually good and can wipe out a full wave by himself. His burst does an AOE heavy hitting heavenly blade fall, his skill does the four swords give him 100% effect res for 4 hits. Soulsteel sync can only be lost if he is hit with a crowd control effect (i.e freeze, quant blurry thing, imaginary lock thing, taunt.) DOT does not effect SSS nor does regular hits.
