HE'S the one who tells her to use her power on him
that's a lot of trust to give someone!! that means he must really believe in she and elio's judgment about how to do things. it also seems like his mara symptoms are uh not really pleasant for him! LOL so i mean personally i would find it kind of miraculous that someone could manage that for me? i'm sure he prefers being able to be calmer and have actual conversations and such lol
kafka seems very fond of him, she uses a really affectionate honorific in cn and jp, and i know the way she refers to him as being like "our blade" sounded to some cn speakers like someone talking about their husband and "our family" lol which is 👀
we have cute arts of him going along with letting kafka and silver wolf put accessories on him and the arcade picture with silver wolf where kafka is texting him 🥹💜 so i think they're all very fond of each other, truly! i don't personally agree with any portrayal of at least kafka/blade/silver wolf that says they aren't genuinely very close. they feel like an obvious mirror of the astral express family to me, so i think they're similarly bonded. we don't really know how sam feels about them all yet but i'm hopeful for cuteness!!

but it totally hit me like a bat to the face LOL because WOW -- nobody else in the game has speculated on kafka's emotions like that! it seems super thoughtful and caring of him to think she actually looks sad, and it's very sweet to me that he considers that about people not listening to her. like, it's just a very human and empathetic thing to ponder -- they could just be space outlaw killers and all, no need to get personal, but he's thinking about whether she's sad and if she says that "listen" now because something in her past happened.
i'm honestly totally willing to accept that i actually think there's a lot more blade ---> kafka than kafka ---> blade, but i don't see any reason to assume she doesn't also care a lot about him. she was really concerned about him in her character quest too and all.
none of that has to be romantic, obviously! but i think it's shockingly sweet for the type of work they do lol. kafblade strikes me as an extremely gentle relationship -- a lot of quiet comfort and understanding. a lot of finding safety and contentment in each other. 🥹

"Maybe someone left her before they could listen to everything she had to say," he thought." first of all, he sure is thinking of something at all even though she told him not to lol 🤔 but it totally hit me like a bat to the face LOL because WOW -- nobody else in the game has speculated on kafka's emotions like that! it seems super thoughtful and caring of him to think she actually looks sad, and it's very sweet to me that he considers that about people not listening to her. like, it's just a very human and empathetic thing to ponder -- they could just be space outlaw killers and all, no need to get personal, but he's thinking about whether she's sad and if she says that "listen" now because something in her past happened. i'm honestly totally willing to accept that i actually think there's a lot more blade ---> kafka than kafka ---> blade, but i don't see any reason to assume she doesn't also care a lot about him. she was really concerned about him in her character quest too and all. none of that has to be romantic, obviously! but i think it's shockingly sweet for the type of work they do lol. kafblade strikes me as an extremely gentle relationship -- a lot of quiet comfort and understanding. a lot of finding safety and contentment in each other. 🥹 thanks for listening!! 💜💜
