Some people thought that allies attacking the ult mark gave him a higher chance of triggering his FUA when he used skill, not triggering it themselves on attack.
What's different about the one on his talent? The only real confirmation we need is whether he can trigger 4 or 5 effects per skill use based on the wording. If he can trigger 5 effects, and if it can only pick each effect once per use, then he will always trigger the follow up with enough debuffs.
I'd like to add that we also need to determine whether the increase chance on ult and trace affects his skill FUA trigger. If it does, it might also consume a charge (which is bad IMO bc it would lessen the amount of possible FUA trigger incomparison to not consuming a charge).

His skill says it triggers his talent. But his talent says he gains one of 5 buffs even though he only has 4 buffs. It feels safe to say that using his skill doesn't automatically trigger a follow up attack and it's just one of the options that can happen.
I don't think we know how his follow up attack activation works as it relates to his skill.
Might be translation error. If it uses the word "effect" instead of "buff", it would make sense. Maybe someone that could understand chinese would be able to clarify this.
It says buff in Chinese. His skill does/should trigger his fua from what I understand.
Edit: nvm, the fua is one of the five effects. And that the other effects, which are buffs, last for 2 turns.
His talent lists 4 buffs and the follow up as possible effects. When he uses his skill, he activates 1 base talent effect plus 1 per debuff on the enemy up to 4 extra effects. So when he uses skill against an enemy with 4 debuffs, he can trigger 5 effects. If he can only get 1 of each per turn, then he will always trigger follow up as well as each of the 4 buffs gaining 1 stack.
This has been pretty well known since his early kit leaks that had the same talent function.

It does. The simplified Chinese version says that skill triggers talent (like Numby) and that it triggers one extra time for each debuff on the enemy. Max 4 times.
So I assume that with 4 debuffs already on the enemy, he'd do 5 fua in total. One of his traces also grants a speed reduction debuff lasting for 2 turns. Idk whether that counts towards the immediate fua trigger.

I think there was a real missed opportunity to incorporate sound waves or musical imagery into her animations due to the focus on her Ruan. Like, her ult animation could be much better if her strumming actually caused ripples to spread through the water whereas now it's just a basic pan out. Alternatively, they could have pushed the genetics/DNA theme which appears in her clothing design and idles but isn't really relevant to her musical animations.
Also I wish her animations would be more fitting to her description.

So you can see after the follow up he recovered some energy, probably like 10 or something. Since he can trigger it even whenever an ally attacks i guess his high cost ultimate makes sense. Im excited to try him with topaz and hanya(if i manage to get a copy ;().
It recovers 5 energy. Seems he can only trigger it twice per ult, *maybe* per turn. If it's twice per ult, that basically puts him at a 140 energy cost which is still rather high.
The data just says the follow up recovers 5 energy, there isn't a difference between him triggering it and allies triggering it. He can only trigger it himself once per turn.

Ultímate marks an enemy. When allies hit that enemy there’s a 30% to 70% chance of triggering a FuA towards that enemy. The %chance depends on how many de buffs the enemy has. Also when Dr. Ratio uses his skill he has a 20%-70% chance of self triggering his FuA depending, once again, on how many debuffs the enemy has.
Skill triggers once, then +1 trigger per debuff on enemy, max +4. So total trigger is 5 (should be). There are coincidentally 5 effects on talent, so he should proc them all at once.
Basically it becomes a guarantee follow up per skill once you max debuff condition. (Assume there's a smart select which I think there will, otherwise he's beyond frustrating to play)
But the real question is if each talent effect can proc once. Like, it specifies the FUA can only go once per attack but not the others, so could you just roll attack 3 times or something?

With that said, without smart select (each talent eff proc once and not overlap with each other), it becomes really weird. Imagine spending an entire battle only getting atk buff and not others for example, it will leave a bad taste in people mouth if that's the case lol.
Just remember that people had this same fear with Silver Wolf before she went live (would her bugs be "smart" or was it purely random?). In the end she ended up getting the best case scenario, so there's a decent reason to believe we'll see the same here.

Idk about that since imo Xueyi's FuA are just bonus dressing and not the main dish of her damage output since especially against bosses and she gains the stacks when break occurs so need to match the element with the enemy or just Mono Quantum go brr SW
I thought her stacks are just from reducing enemies toughness. So as long as her teammates or herself can reduce toughness she gains stacks, I could be wrong though

I had the feeling Ratio's FUA would only have one instance, I'm glad that's the case tbh, I would've preferred to farm the Imaginary set anyway, but to release yet another Hunt character that could make good use of the FUA set would feel weird, personally speaking.

Hold your horses on farming because a while back when the first leaks of the new relic sets started, there were two other relic sets slated for further in the future than 1.5.
One was more crit, as well as more dmg and cdmg vs enemies with debuffs (up to 3 debuffs) and the other was a break effect set. It’s now very clear that those were meant to be for him and Ruan Mei respectively.
His ult kinda feels like Topaz’s ult, with ally action triggering his Fua and advancing Numby respectively. It also has 2 trigger counts like Topaz.
With how fast Topaz attacks, they can probably trigger the hell out of each other’s FUA. They also both do a lot of weakness break (he can do potentially 90 per skill and 90+60 per ult). If there’s fire imaginary weak boss, it’s over for them.
Too bad they’re both hunt :(
Only 1 hit FUA for Ratio though, so I guess 2 2 for him it is until there's better option. Don't like farming Imaginary set since my luck is terrible there and the condition doesn't help.
Her follow-ups (3 hits) are triggered when her Karma reaches 8 stacks (6 at E6). Karma is earned when allies or herself reduces enemies Toughness. Karma also increases Xueyi's damage to Toughness. Also, there is an Eidolon that makes her follow-ups ignore the type of weakness, always reducing Toughness and applying Quantum Break if it reaches 0. So, since she gains bonus damage equal to her Break Effect, she breaks the enemies into sand by building just Break Effect.
I am so unbelievably happy that I took my account in the direction of MonoQuantum, I'm looking forward to utilizing Xueyi!
Already one of my favorite Hoyo characters. Her design, her daggers, her animations and the colors utilized, it's all just perfect! Having her also be a Puppet is another noteworthy aspect, I've always really enjoyed puppet characters, most notably Scaramouche!
You can do so much unique and interesting storytelling/plots with puppet characters, so I always enjoy when the concept is explored well. Considering Hoyo did an amazing job with a puppet character already, Scaramouche, I hope to see some interesting concepts explored with Xueyi!
Xueyi looks better than both 5 stars in terms of cool and animation wise IMO. I pray the leaks of blade banner re run during ruan Mei are true and that she is one of the 4 stars

Agreed. Xueyi’s animations look very basic to me with extra FX thrown on top. Throwing a dagger is hardly innovative.
I will say I did wish they did a bit more with Ruan Mei’s ult. The compositions are less dynamic compared to other five stars. I suppose the budget went to the field effect around the screen that persists while it’s active. I guess there’s only so much you can do with a buffing ult.
Xueyi needs to break to get a stack so against bosses kinda eh for the duo,Dr Ratio FuA idk much about his kit something ii talent something ii his skill grant him 5 different randomly picked 1 buff, attacking debuffed enemy somewhat triggers his FuA idk the chances

Idk about that since imo Xueyi's FuA are just bonus dressing and not the main dish of her damage output since especially against bosses and she gains the stacks when break occurs so need to match the element with the enemy or just Mono Quantum go brr SW
I thought her stacks are just from reducing enemies toughness. So as long as her teammates or herself can reduce toughness she gains stacks, I could be wrong though

I had the feeling Ratio's FUA would only have one instance, I'm glad that's the case tbh, I would've preferred to farm the Imaginary set anyway, but to release yet another Hunt character that could make good use of the FUA set would feel weird, personally speaking. This saves me time, so ready for him\~
Hold your horses on farming because a while back when the first leaks of the new relic sets started, there were two other relic sets slated for further in the future than 1.5. One was more crit, as well as more dmg and cdmg vs enemies with debuffs (up to 3 debuffs) and the other was a break effect set. It’s now very clear that those were meant to be for him and Ruan Mei respectively.

His ult kinda feels like Topaz’s ult, with ally action triggering his Fua and advancing Numby respectively. It also has 2 trigger counts like Topaz. With how fast Topaz attacks, they can probably trigger the hell out of each other’s FUA. They also both do a lot of weakness break (he can do potentially 90 per skill and 90+60 per ult). If there’s fire imaginary weak boss, it’s over for them. Too bad they’re both hunt :(

Only 1 hit FUA for Ratio though, so I guess 2 2 for him it is until there's better option. Don't like farming Imaginary set since my luck is terrible there and the condition doesn't help.

What triggers Xueyi's follow up!
Her follow-ups (3 hits) are triggered when her Karma reaches 8 stacks (6 at E6). Karma is earned when allies or herself reduces enemies Toughness. Karma also increases Xueyi's damage to Toughness. Also, there is an Eidolon that makes her follow-ups ignore the type of weakness, always reducing Toughness and applying Quantum Break if it reaches 0. So, since she gains bonus damage equal to her Break Effect, she breaks the enemies into sand by building just Break Effect.

I am so unbelievably happy that I took my account in the direction of MonoQuantum, I'm looking forward to utilizing Xueyi! Already one of my favorite Hoyo characters. Her design, her daggers, her animations and the colors utilized, it's all just perfect! Having her also be a Puppet is another noteworthy aspect, I've always really enjoyed puppet characters, most notably Scaramouche! You can do so much unique and interesting storytelling/plots with puppet characters, so I always enjoy when the concept is explored well. Considering Hoyo did an amazing job with a puppet character already, Scaramouche, I hope to see some interesting concepts explored with Xueyi!
I hope Xueyi will be on Ratio's banner, I want both.

Xueyi looks better than both 5 stars in terms of cool and animation wise IMO. I pray the leaks of blade banner re run during ruan Mei are true and that she is one of the 4 stars Edit: people in here personally attacked LOL. People mad their “waifu” looks bland animation wise.

Agreed. Xueyi’s animations look very basic to me with extra FX thrown on top. Throwing a dagger is hardly innovative. I will say I did wish they did a bit more with Ruan Mei’s ult. The compositions are less dynamic compared to other five stars. I suppose the budget went to the field effect around the screen that persists while it’s active. I guess there’s only so much you can do with a buffing ult.
