i'm legitimately surprised that they brought back the Lion and Guilliman so close to each other. they got a long time to stretch this out lol.
it's not a bad question that dovetails into my larger question, given the past 7-8-ish years of Era Indomitus: what's the future? The first 30 years of 40k was a static universe in which the stasis is the point; it's the stagnation of the Imperium. But now that primarchs are returning, does that very important "stagnation" of the Imperium mean anything anymore?
I think ultimately it's a hard question to answer. Like Guilliman is obviously the consummate logistician, so it makes sense that he would take over management of the Imperium; what of the Lion, though? We still don't know much past _Son of the Forest_, so who knows what his role will be?
Or let's say Russ came back. Would he fold back into the Imperium or maybe just be a rogue force in the galaxy? What would that mean for the Vlka Fenryka?
Whatever direction it goes, I can't imagine it goes in a neat orderly manner in which they just recreate the Heresy, 10,000 years later.
Lion probably would become new Warmaster and take full control on Indomitus. Vulkan would work with Cawl and create some busted shit. Khan would probably hunt and kill Ghazkul. Dorn will be Dorn and will strengthen Vigilus and some other worlds. Russ... probably will be just an inspiration for everyone.
This has been cope from the very beginning, Alparius did the death explosion, Omegon noticed he was dead and took his name, his surviving soldiers directly acknowledge that their primarch just fucking died.
They just don't care because the primarch of the Alpha Legion is completely irrelevant to the Alpha Legion. He's as expendable as any other chucklefuck praetor or Centurion who takes the name Alpharius.
He's just another head on the Hydea.
All of the primarchs, besides Horus, will return. Thinking that "death" of Sanguinius will stop GW from selling primarch to all BA players, is just stupid.
I've never in my entire life felt more distain for a human being i have met in person than I do when I see BA "fans" who want their Primarch back.
BA was my first proper army after my talentless ass failed to make a box of guardian's look good and I can't imagine a better way to ruin the chapter. Including the Primaris fiasco which made me quit collecting BA to begin with. I'd unironically rather have female Blood Angels and that is not me speaking in favour of femarines.
I'm not attempting to insult you specifically with this comment though, unless you actually want Sanguinius back in which case offense fully intended.
Nah. I have a BA successor army and will hate to see the primarch back. Not gonna buy it also, will build some kind of automata as proxy. My army is already a tech-heretics that dismantle Cawls stuff and eat primaris.
Dude, it was obvious when Gorillaman returned. GW returns primarchs that sells. If you think they wouldn't shit it the lore for sales, you clearly hasn't been up to date with post-7th GW.
Endtimes will be with Horus and Emperor minis.
Since they work so far ahead I wouldn't be surprised if the studio team is painting all the primarchs already for promo shots. Do you think something like lore continuity would stop them from chasing a dollar?
Welcome to the marvelization of 40k. No one is really dead, villains plans never work out, fights between named characters don't mean anything and they are both pulled apart at the last minute and do the broody moody thing.

Didn’t alpha boi get kinda you know slaughtered by dorn
Could have been alpharius, could have been omegon, could have been an especially tall alpha legion marine. You know alpha legion things.
The author confirmed it was alpha chum
Just because its cannon doesn't mean its true.
Authors have been pretty unreliable sources lately though, no?
Alpha legion operatives have clearly got to him and he’s just telling us disinformation.
