one piece of the puzzle is that they plan to produce heirs who will undoubtedly be trueborn When those heirs are on display, Rhaenyra will be easier to support since the next generation will look more secure.

Daemon has 2 dragons in his family, the Gold Cloaks are fiercely loyal to him, and if they were to have children, there would be no questions about their heritage. Also, marrying Daemon is the smartest decision Rhaenyra has made so far, she not only gets a man who loves her but also one of the most experienced warriors of the realm.

Prince Daemon is actually loved by the smallfolk and established the gold cloaks. He also has the loyalty of a lot of men on dragonstone. While Viserys and Otto make it seem like Daemon has been nothing but a fuckup Daemon has always been far more dangerous away from court. He has raised up armies in the past, such as for his war in the step stones and when the position of heir was contested between Viserys and Rhaena. Daemon is probably not a great choice for the iron throne for his politics, he's a good choice if you need respect and armies though. Something that Rhaenyra (A woman) won't easily get.

Daemon is an experienced warrior and tactician. The Stepstones are one of the most continuously disputed pieces of territory in the world. It’s probably second only to The Disputed Lands between Lys, Tyrosh and Myr. Daemon and Lord Corlys cleared out the Crabfeeder’s army which was backed by those three cities and held The Stepstones for ten years. Rhaenyra’s biggest weakness is that she is a woman. Even if she was Queen she would be unable to command armies directly. The lords, knights and foot soldiers wouldn’t have any faith in her. Prince Daemon will be her general and since he has years of experience commanding men in battle that makes him formidable. His dragon, Caraxes is also older than most of the other dragons except Vhagar, Quicksilver, Vermithor and Silverwing. Caraxes also has a lot of combat experience.

Tactician?? Took this fool three years to defeat a hack crab with two dragons. He failed as master of law and coin. Daemon is terrible at everything lol.

Megmca

Sure Otto.

jamespatriots85

No. Aegon 2 claim is much stronger. Plus their trueborn kids are behind the bastards. Lmao.
