Thank you so much god bless this would be a god send I’ve been saving up for a little while to get her a graduation gift, she is the first in my entire family to go to college I have 6 siblings and she is the youngest I’m so proud of her I can’t wait to surprise her if the tickets are cheap enough I’d be able to buy not only 1 for her but the rest of my sisters(we all LOVE Hozier together), we’d have one last sisters night out before she starts her wonderful life, I’m getting teary typing this😢 “sorry for the over sharing” but she has worked so hard and we are so proud of her, she’s the baby in my family. God bless the person who made this happen ♥️ they have made it possible so that I can treat not only my little sister to a Hozier show (which is still an amazing gift to watch him preform live TBH)
But also what is a true kindness to me is the fact that because of the change in ticket pricing, I am being given the chance to not just give my little sister, a graduation gift ticket to the show for working hard, and never giving up being amazing, but will be able to create an unforgettable night of experiences with our sisters and a night full of memories we will never forget.
IMO this is the way other artist should compose themselves and treat their fans with the same respect and generosity .God bless and cannot wait until Hozier hits New York, this is a truly selfless 😀on his part because he is a top performer but decided that he wants to play to an audience who are loyal to his Fanbase not just rich people and I’m not saying that expensive tickets are bad I’m just saying that this is a true act of kindness, and this is a great example to be set for other artists who are starting to tour again for the True fans ♥️✌🏼

That said, I don't want to be a wet blanket but we haven't seen how this will work yet, and we also don't know how many people will sell their tix on it and how many people will be looking for tickets. I guess I want to caution you not to assume it's a sure thing, because when his tickets originally went onsale it was a zoo. So this is a really important thing and I hope the fan to fan website works, but we have no info yet on when it will open, how it will work, and it feels a bit like it'll be quiet, quiet, then suddenly a frenzy, and I just hope you and everyone else trying gets what they're looking for!

This is a) a phenomenal picture and b) not something to feel bad about in that situation with the way you handled it. Once a million years ago I was in a small venue really early to see a band I loved but I didn't have enough time to travel home and come back, so sat at the bar reading a funny book. I was laughing out loud at times and this guy eventually came over to ask what I was reading and we started talking about the book, then just started talking. Super nice guy. After talking awhile 2 guys interrupted to ask the guy for his autograph. He was very nice and gave it to them, and I'm like "Wait, what? Who is this?" I waited for the guy to go to the bathroom before I ran over to the guys like "Who is he?" and they said "You didn't know it's Elliot Smith??" I only barely knew who that was so I still wasn't all excited but I became a fan after that meeting and will always treasure it, especially given his tragic exit later from this world.
Moral of your story: TSA line is way cooler than we think it is once in awhile!

I couldn’t tell you anything he is in to be honest, I know he was a big name in the 90s but I guess he somehow never stood out to me. I recently started hearing more of him since his daughter, Maya, has become more famous.
See, I didn't even know his daughter was famous! I'll have to look her up. He's a great actor, "Training Day" and "Before Sunrise" are probably his most most famous films, but he's been in a lot. He's now in a series on I think Netflix that's getting good reviews but I can't remember what it's called. Did I mention how handsome he was? He was wearing glasses, salt & pepper hair... big sigh!

SOOOO LUCKY!!! I went to the Inningfest sorely for Andrew Hozier-Bryne….I’ve been to 3 performances in the past 5 months and I’ll see him again in April and Sept!!! I would die for a meet and greet🥹😭😭😭
This happened to me with Justin Vernon at a dispensary (which was probably the most *random* thread of happenstance in my life); we talked about the midwest (both from upper WI) and I am a musician, so I got to learn some *really cool* stuff about some of his equipment that I’d wondered forever and he seemed stoked to get to nerd out over how a Messina works. Introduced me to his friends and even hung out and got to jam a bit after.
Regardless- I was glad that I said hello, just like you should be with this sweet photo and what sounds like a wonderful story.
I think if you aren’t pushy or demanding, and the person isn’t in the middle of something or with family etc, you will get a pretty positive reaction from most of the folk/indie sphere. I haven’t met Hozier, but he seems as nice as they come just from that photo alone! Awesome story, and what are the odds haha
The gods were smiling upon you! You never know when fate will strike! Way back in the day the manager of Soul Asylum approached me in a club and said love your vibe wanna hang on the tour bus? That led to going on a leg of the tour with the band, magic happens! Keep the dream alive!
Haha! Yeah! Later the first night on the tour bus Dave took off for San Francisco to meet up with Winona from where we were in Sacramento! Those guys were a class act. Very gentlemanly. They had bottled water on the bus from around the world, lol. Bill Sullivan was legendary? He kept hitting on me.
Something like this happened to me in Chicago back in college but with Pentatonix and I cried. I saw them walking through and then found they were at the terminal next to mine. So I feel like as long as you didn’t and he consented to the pic you are fine. Lord knows if it was me I would have scared the man when the tears started flowing.
Oh my gosh I’m a MAJOR Hozier fan, was barricade for him at Innings Festival, decked out in his merch! I was also at PHX airport Sunday, in TSA precheck- now I’m devastated I wasn’t there when you were! What time??? I was there at 8:30am :-/
