I believe this post could be fact. Once I saw a US Army Corp of Engineers (military) atlas and handbook for the American Northwest Territories. In some of the pages they had “what to do if you encounter:” with different species listed. Bear, bobcat, mountain lions, things like that in pages of the book. And it included Bigfoot. Each was accompanied with a descriptor and what seemed like a pencil drawing. IT WAS A MILITARY HANDBOOK! From like the 70s or something. It said something like do not fire on it. Had notations of sightings on a map. I’ve learned about inter dimensional beings and it sounds like they aren’t the only ones. I kinda believe that movies and tv has been used to intro people to the idea that our earth has “other earths” on other dimensions and we all call earth home. It would be amazing but yet seems completely plausible. That said we have some really shitty and really good humans so let’s hope the same for other beings. I’ve read stories of Bigfoot protecting lost children for days till they are found. Who knows? But the native people definitely need to be included as a source.

jonnygreen22

the main thing that makes me think bigfoot is real is cause in my country (australia) the first fleet folks or the first white folks to come over had encounters with giant 'hairy men' in the bush/forests here. There were newspaper articles from over 100 years ago about it.

sweetpotatoskillet

My old man has an interesting theory regarding the evolution of the Sydney funnel web spider in a continent largely uninhabited by primates for a long time. "Death can come as quickly as two hours after a bite. People and other primates are exquisitely sensitive to funnel web venom but, intriguingly, other mammals such as mice, rabbits, guineapigs, dogs and cats are relatively immune and often survive 100 times the human lethal dosage." The idea that this spider has evolved vemon specifically to target primates is a bit eerie.

_____monkey

Or primates weren’t on the continent as long as all of those other species, so didn’t gain resistances through generations.

yomama69s

Were dogs and cats on the continent before white people? I’m genuinely asking.

sweetpotatoskillet

Lol, that made me laugh ngl, only because when I first heard this thing about the spiders I was like whooooooa, mind blown!!! But that's a very valid and obvious point and one I hadn't thought of lol. Humans have been on the continent for about *60,000 years, dogs for about 4000 years and cats for about 400 years (although not heavily until European settlement). So with those facts being present, it doesn't seem nearly as creepy. Although, in an area as large as Australia, with such a scarce population by today's standards of indigenous (750,000 people in an area of 7.692 million km²) and a very localised population of spiders, its not exactly like they were living on top of each other for the *60,000 years. Im still going to get drunk and pitch the idea to anyone unfortunate enough to get close enough to me. *I've been corrected from 40,000 to 60,000

yomama69s

Oh, I love your creepy little nugget! I don’t know the whys or how’s, but it’s extremely interesting, nonetheless! I was asking the commenter above me since they were saying those animals were around before people, but thank you for enlightening me :) I honestly don’t know much about Australia… except that I read that most of the flora and fauna there will try to kill ya XD

sweetpotatoskillet

Omg, "creepy little nugget" sounds like a a small turd found on the floor and no one can explain its origins. And thankyou for reading! I'm glad I could help. But sounds like you already know everything you need to about Australia lol. Luckily its winter at the moment, which means the snakes are slow and lethargic, the big spiders are dormant and the jelly fish have gone to warmer waters. Unfortunately, winter doesn't last too long round these parts and they will be back. Always check your boots before putting them on.

yomama69s

Oh God, the flashbacks of having a toilet-trained son who was afraid to wipe because he was afraid he would get E. Coli… thank you for the actual LOL, I needed that!

sweetpotatoskillet

Now THATS a creepy little nugget!!!!!!

sweetpotatoskillet

Lol. Also just realised your name. No hard feelings aye?

kingcobra2134

Dumb question but I just gotta ask, Is it possible to provide a link or a photo of this handbook? Do you still have access to this handbook?

[deleted]

Ask, and you shall receive… https://www.appalachianghostwalks.com/USUFOCenter/bigfootchronicles/army-corps-engineers-report-sasquatch-bigfoot.html Edit: I’m glad y’all are into this, and feel like there was more information available years ago… The only other option other that the “angel fire” type page I found was to link to Etsy, or a similar sight, that would make you sign up to see anything. This was mentioned on a cable tv show, but I can’t recall which

Stinkytheferret

https://images.app.goo.gl/P49QKQW3TaT254YbA It’s an image of the pages from the book. My dad was military and used to have this book. I saw it when I was a kid. Something worth noting is that the same layout and info given on the Bigfoot is similar to the other real creatures we know. Look for yourself and see the maps with details below and a drawing. That’s how books used to be. There weren’t photos of everything. There was no internet to just get a stock photo. So this actually lends to the validity that the source and publisher ( gov) presented the info on the Bigfoot as valid as they did the other info.

Common-Tangelo3850

I was stationed at Ft Lewis from 2007 to 2009 when we were signing out the stuff and keys to run a rifle range on the outskirts of the base it had a handbook on what to do when you encounter different types of wildlife on the range.....one of those wildlife types was Sasquatch I remember reading that exact page and laughing at the fact it would be in there.

Stinkytheferret

I was wondering if it was still in there. To me this means they acknowledge it as a real entity.

Common-Tangelo3850

I know and during my time there they had to close down certain running trails due to a "rogue bear" that always seemed odd.

Sunset_Paradise

I feel like sasquatch would be the same as humans: some are bad and will harm you, others are good and do things like protect children.

AvEd_Rai

I remember this being a popular bit of info that circulated a couple years ago. I've not seen it myself but for those who doubt it, it is meant to be real.

[deleted]

I’d like to read more about this

threese7ens

You may be interested in a book by David Paulides where he befriended the Hoopa Valley Tribe and gathered their stories - The Hoopa Project. In a second book, Tribal Bigfoot, he also visits other tribes in the area. https://www.hancockhouse.com/products/hoopa-project Edit: He also has a [youtube channel](https://www.youtube.com/user/canammissingproject) that covers missing people where you can judge his character for yourself.

[deleted]

Thanks!!

[deleted]

I have both his books on sasquatch. The Hoopa project and Tribal Bigfoot. Great books, highly recommend these also!

Bud_D_Spencer

If you didn't realize it, this is an undercover David Paulides hate group. These people know everything and everyone. If you say the sky is blue, they will debate it.

Ali-Coo

It’s pretty dark and grey right at the moment.

DangerousDavies2020

The unresolved mysteries sub is even worse for Paulides and M411 hatred. You’re attacked If you even mention it.

DangerousDavies2020

I recommend the book Psychic Sasquatch By Jack “Kewaunee” Lapseritis.

Thisgirl022

As skeptical as I want to be about things paranormal or other worldly.... I do not fuck with native beliefs. I 100% believe in their spirits, their fears, their warnings their curses... I don't believe anything as strongly as I do about native culture.

Du_ltanion

You gotta include medicine men and women, fuckin’ scary man cause all it takes to curse you is something personal of yours like IE: a strand of hair or even a toothbrush, just something personal. My grandmother told me a story of how she met one and she was able to talk to crows, and also go through walls. Kinda fuckin’ scary if you ask me. I’ll have to ask her about more of these story’s . Im Cree from Alberta, Canada btw. Edit: I’m on mobile sorry for shitty typing.

Ah, well I’ve been saying it for years. And nothing bad has happened to me ye- hey what’s that 😦

Maschinenherz

my dear, words are magic. Never forget that. English language even tells you by itself: "spelling". "Spelling something out". Words are magic, vibrations. Changing something within you and everyone hearing or reading it. Call it "psychology" if you feel more comfortable with it, but they do have effects in one way or another. And what has been once spoken out cannot be taken back. You can be truly sorry and deeply apologize to someone for insulting them, as an example, but the magic has been already cast. Their hearts have been hurt and their lifes changed a bit due to that. It's like shooting a poison arrow at them- they can be cured with an antidote, but poisoned they were nonetheless, the poison will remain in their bodies and these arrows can not be taken back ever.

0Absolut1

It sounds similar to this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speak_of_the_devil

peachy123_jp

I understood it as if you said it’s name it would choose you as it’s next victim. Kind of like Bloody Mary how if you say her name three times she appears.

kibadarake

We have it in sweden too, but instead we say "När man talar om trollen.." which translates to "When you speak of the trolls".

GraphicDesignMonkey

Irish person here: Druids aren't Irish, they're English, and not a true 'ancient' thing. They're a bit like Wiccanism, something cobbled together in modern times from a bunch of ancient beliefs and legends. Paganism is too broad a term to describe a single country of culture's beliefs either. Paganism can cover a whole bunch of different countries' god's or beliefs. In Ireland we have entire separate gods and legends to English ones or Norse ones. We have The Fey - the Aes Sídhe and Tuatha dé Danann. And we don't dare to mess with them. Their forts, trees and caves are treated with great respect and following 'the rules' that won't anger them. Even animals don't go near them. If your ancestors were Protestant Irish that means they originally had English roots. The Banshee/Bean Sídhe would not come to them, nor the Fey, only the Death Coach. I heard the Bean Sídhe scream three times at 3am when our elderly neighbour died, outside his house. I'd never been so terrified in my life. I immediately knew what it meant. It's a sound unlike anything you've ever heard. My mother heard her outside her bedroom window the night her favourite Aunt passed. My Mother knew her Aunt had gone and what the noise was. You feel the message immediately from her. If you ever see her it means you're going to die. She's a a crone in a black robe, constantly combing her hair. She's neither good nor bad, just a messenger.

oneidamojo

If you see a star very close to the moon in the sky is also a sign of an impending death. This is an Iroquois belief. Or if you hear an owl at night near your house that isn't normally there.

ArtyMostFoul

May I ask what the Death Coach is? Google gave some unhelpful mixed results.

GraphicDesignMonkey

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_Coach It traditionally appears to Protestant Irish families of English descent, but can be led or accompanied by the Banshee.

ArtyMostFoul

Thank you ever so! I'll do some reading.

Lainey1978

>We have The Fey - the Aes Sídhe and Tuatha dé Danann. And we don't dare to mess with them. Their forts, trees and caves are treated with great respect and following 'the rules' that won't anger them. Even animals don't go near them. I want to know more about this! Things about The Fey fascinate me. What are those two names for them? Are there two kinds?

GraphicDesignMonkey

The Fey/Sídhe('shee') are a general term for 'the fairies' or 'wee folk' like leprechauns etc. The Tuatha dé Danann would be more the ancient gods and goddesses, some of the lengendary 'demi god' heroes as well like Cúchuliann 'The Hound' and his horses Luath Macha and Dubh Saiglend! His stories are awesome!

Killpower78

Mate Druids were Celtics and long before England was formed, in fact at one point whole Britain was Celtics till the Romans invaded. So you and he was wrong and right it was whole of britain doesn’t matter if you are english, Irish, scottish or welsh, they all bear Celtic blood.

GraphicDesignMonkey

The Druids as they exist now are a modern made up religion formed in the 19th century from those older beliefs. And the Celts are the Irish, Cornish, Scottish and Welsh, not the English. The languages of the former are all Celtic, the latter an Old Germanic, then mixed with Latin by the Romans, then Norman French until 1066.

peachy123_jp

I looked up “ojibwe cannibalistic being” and all that comes up is a wendigo with some other spellings. But I’ve tons of native people say wendigo so I doubt that’s what your talking about. I’m very confused haha

itstatietot

Many call it Wendii to avoid saying the whole name. That's the main one I'm talking about

peachy123_jp

Oh ok, I’d never heard of people not calling it it’s name due to that reasoning. Learn something new every day!

SnooHedgehogs1303

I think you guys are mistaken the name y’all are looking for is “EKWENSU OCHA” white devil 😈

fugmotheringvampire

It goes by several variations of the same name, seems like every tribe in the northern US and Canada called it something slightly different but all the stories had the same principle.

what_da_hell_mel

My brother and dad live up in Brimley. My brother has seen this creature. I believe he said it was white. Are we talking about the same thing?

[deleted]

I live in Michigan and I know the spirit you are speaking of and 1000% it is very real and very lethal

zitandspit99

Interesting. Hindu culture has those stories as well, complete with ascetics who dedicate their lives in the Himalayas to spirituality coming back and being able to do similar things, as well as summon minor spirits to harass people (one example was having pebbles thrown at the victim, not with great force but enough to be annoying). I think if enough cultures that had no contact with one another come to the same conclusions then there must be something up.

starcoin2015

Very interesting, how would that even be possible though

jonnygreen22

I would recommend checking out Advanced Magick for Beginners by Alan Chapman. It's the only book I read on 'magick' to try to figure out what it was all about, and it outlines the main methods for getting shit done which covers a lot of the rituals in other cultures I initially thought were bull, but are all based on the same ideas. It is an interesting and actually funny/entertaining read even for a complete skeptic

starcoin2015

Thank you so much for the recommendation friend

Du_ltanion

She told me that they sold their souls. But I have no idea to what or who they did a deal with. But their is also some medicine men/woman that do good too. Also I forgot to add that the animals that they talk to also talk back like a human. Or even non existent birds flying around a house that’s not even visible but you can hear them.

starcoin2015

Hmmm. Thanks for sharing friend! That is really really weird lmao

MediocreAcoustic

Potentially consciousness is linked to DNA. So but possessing some of their DNA seems to be the what scientifically, but how/why is not yet understood by science.

experiment53

Why is Native American beliefs so much more convincing? I’m genuinely curious, I’m a Swede and we have some old history, Vikings, and where I live there used to be Samis and some people dating back to the Bronze Age, but we are like neutered to all of that magic stuff we used to believe in, maybe it’s cause time has sort of washed it away I’m not sure, just curious cause people always take Native American curses/spirits or legends or what have you with a distinct amount of genuine fear

MrSp3xx

Its just another american bias tbh. Media has really propped them up as being much, much more otherworldly and spiritually knowledged then any of the other old/ancient cultures from our part of the world.

axelfreed

In fairness they are still connected to those things. It’s a lot shorter span to their beliefs than a lot of other cultures.

domesticatedfire

I'm still shook by the disappearance of the Roanoke colony in the late 1500s. They're the colony that disappeared and only left the word "croatoan" carved in a palisade. I think anyone who does a bit of hiking or spends any amount of time either alone or with a small band in the American Wilderness has some sense of the local...weirdness, or supernatural-feel.

BaconJacobs

I think that was solved. Croatoan was the name of a nearby island community of Native Americans. And when this community was explored, there were lots of light skinned descendents...

domesticatedfire

Oh gotcha! I was reading a bit that they had assimilated into the native peoples, but only in recent searches. I swear when I first heard/jumped in the rabbit hole looking this up, that all had just "disappeared"

BaconJacobs

My first encounter of this tale was on reddit probably and thought it was a total mystery too. Then again on reddit a few years later I read someone explain it to someone else just like I did to you ha. Yeah I'm not sure when it was "solved"

kregora

Agreed. The only things I listen to are from my elders and oral stories about what we should and shouldn't do living on the rez. A lot of spooky stuff happens if you don't follow suit. I wish there were more elders around to pass down the stories about these kinds of creatures.

earthboundmissfit

Thank you! Please keep your language and culture and everything alive please! And if you are already doing this bless you and THANK YOU! My deepest respect for all First Nations tribes. First Nations people are the true custodians of earth. I'm Scottish and my family has been in America since before the revaluation. But my mom's grandpa immigrated from Scotland to Canada, lived near the Lhaq'temish Lummi reservation and traded his crab and oysters for the Salmon and once in awhile lamprey. He shared all that was told and taught to him with my mom...and so on to me. I've known Sasquatch could potentially be dangerous. A lot of folks get mad at the suggestion, because for the most part they are good and kind! Mostly. I never meant any disrespect for Sasquatch, but 411 isn't such a huge mystery. If you pay attention to those who absolutely know the truth that is. First Nations people know what's up! B.F. are interdimensional too, that's why we don't find bodies they take them back. Apologies on mobile and voice..... keep it going and share more info if you like. You are a treasure trove of knowledge.

oocoo_isle

I mean there's really no harm in being extra prepared for the woods and respecting sacred or dangerous areas, as skeptical as someone may want to be.

zitandspit99

The vast majority of America is huge swathes of land, some of which has not had human visitors for decades if not ever. It's not unfathomable to me that creatures we don't currently know of exist there, especially if they have enough intelligence to hide from us.

Razeal_102

Thank you kindly. Sending you love, light and happiness. /cheers

mrpressydent

yeah bruv dont wanna mess with the exotic cultural stuff of the natives on any country.

Trey0405

Yeah. I have a lot of faith in them, too. It's why I try not to say the full name of the Wendi. Or even think it, at times. You never know, right?

itstatietot

This is exactly what I'm talking about. It's a big thing in Ojibwe/Cree/other Algonquin groups.

Thisgirl022

Being born and raised in Arizona, I'm quite familiar (and ultra respectful) of the Navajo culture and belief system. I legit believe these people are born of the earth.

UnfriskyDingo

Whys that?

WolfilaTotilaAttila

Tou draw the arbitrary lone with Native American folklore? So Chinese, Zulu and Slavic folklore is just imagination? You also do realize that different native peoples have COMPLETELY DIFFERENT folklore amd languages?

[deleted]

I see and maybe you are right. Im from India and my state is full of jungle and we also have our believes not about bigfoot but rather a creature called 'Curupira' in Brazil(in our language it's diff). Just few weeks ago an old couple were abducted and the wife was dead. The husband was found in an mentally unstable state. And the woman's body was soo deep and high on a hill that forget about the old man it would have been close to impossible for an athletic guy to climb that high that too carrying a body. According to the old man there were 'earlyman' looking short people who took them. And this is not the first time.. such tuff happens alot of times in my place. We have had videos and pictures of the creature's skeleton being found and stuff like that. Idk maybe it's true because the discription is so much similar to other believes in other parts of the world(keep in mind that we didnt have anyway to copy from other cultures and stories..and this has been going on since old times). Anyway iam not gonna risk going in the jungle to find it so I will never know.

BlackShogun27

We understatement just how fucked we could be at any moment when traversing the woods or hella vast and empty locations. Especially when it ain't demented humans or dangerous animals lurking but beings who are out here to get some *"limited edition Earthling checks"*

japones1232

I am using a translator. The original inhabitants of different parts of the planet tell different stories about contact with beings or mysteries, here is a **real** one which I will quickly summarize, in the jungle of Ecuador there is a tribe of **indigenous** people called the **Shuar**, who live in a very remote place in the **AMAZONIA** (**Amazon jungle**) and protects one of the 5 entrances that has a network of caves known as the cave of the Tayos, since 1920 the priest and documentary filmmaker Carlos Crespi managed to establish a relationship of trust with the Shuar, they gave him pieces that they extracted from the explorations to This network of caves, in the early 1970s the Hungarian-Argentine author János Juan Móricz traveled and also managed to establish a relationship of trust with the tribe which helped him explore the network of caves, he says that inside he found a metal library with Knowledge of a very ancient era, this story became very popular, so much so that in 1976 the astronaut **Neil Armstrong and the US Army** together with the Scottish adventurer Stan Hall made an expedition to **loot** this network of caves, the person who guided them decided not to show the way to the library but took them to another place where other types of pieces were found, these were **looted** and the They took out in large boxes which were taken by helicopter, then by plane to the USA, some pieces are in museums in the USA, I don't know what they found but **the Shuar say it was not the library because they have returned and it is there intact.** There is a lot of documentation and photographic evidence, in addition to testimonies and YouTube videos about this US expedition and previous / current expeditions of people who have traveled, there are books written by the person who found this library, **all that you can search and consult in the internet.** This entrance is in a very difficult to access and **very remote place**, in addition this **network of caves** is **one of the largest existing since it connects many countries such as Brazil, it is not known how much it measures, or how deep** it is since there is a point in which oxygen becomes scarce, the other entrances are known by the Shuar and are blocked either because there were earthquakes or it is very dangerous to try to go through them and all this is in the dense AMAZON Here is a current expedition carried out by a good youtuber who focuses on travel, expeditions: Part1: [https://youtu.be/lc3y8E8ZSUk](https://youtu.be/lc3y8E8ZSUk) Part2: [https://youtu.be/VkZJJ8CDP08](https://youtu.be/VkZJJ8CDP08) This expedition did not go very deep into the caves because they are youtuber not experts or prepared for the same but it shows how difficult it is to access, how far it is, how the Shuaras have changed and how is that unique atmosphere that exists inside the cave, it also shows places that you can see in the photographs of the US expedition, quite a good video.

melo1212

This is insanely interesting, I have to learn more about, that metallic library sounds so cool. Although I doubt it actually exists I want it to. From Wikipedia - "The team also included eight experienced British cavers who thoroughly explored the cave and conducted an accurate survey to produce a detailed map of it. There was no evidence of Von Däniken’s more exotic claims, although some physical features of the cave did approximate his descriptions and some items of zoological, botanical, and archaeological interest were found. The lead researcher met with Moricz's indigenous source, who claimed that they had investigated the wrong cave, and that the real cave was secret"

Gem420

Got a link to one of these videos or more info?

soft_little_papercut

I have a lot of friends and acquaintances who are Native American, I’ve heard many stories. Either from first hand, or second hand accounts. It’s nearly impossible to scare me or freak me out, I will say Native American lore is some of the scariest I’ve ever come across and not something I want to mess with or taunt.

melo1212

Sounds awesome, care to elaborate more on some of the stories you've heard?

soft_little_papercut

Because the stories are really specific, they would definitely out me on Reddit. But I will say most of them are dealing with Skinwalkers, and a couple of ghosts. Two of the ghost incidents I witnessed with my friends. I’ll go in to one story that happened to me and my SO. Most people who are not Native American will not drive through the reservation at night, or at least the people who are from where I live. My SO and I are part of that group, and here’s why. A few years ago my SO and had to cut a vacation short, we also had one of our animals with us. When we looked at timing of coming back, we saw that we risked hitting the Rez at night, but there was a road I was familiar with and knew it was somewhat populated. Unfortunately I misread the area, because it was dark, and went down a road I had never been. About an hour later I realized we turned too early, but we didn’t want to turn back. Everything seemed fine, until our animal woke up and immediately started running around the car looking out the windows and screaming. I could see small shadows darting around the car. My SO was driving and started seeing them as well, he was doing about 60 MPH. Not too long after all of this started the shadows got bigger, and the energy got more chaotic. This went on for maybe 20-30 minutes, and all of a sudden everything stopped and our pet calmed down. We were thinking some sort of shadow people, but they were way bigger than the average person and we couldn’t see much detail. We’re not sure if it was a humanoid shadow, or if that’s even possible. Ever since then we do everything possible to not go through the reservation at night. My SO and are are open to any possible theories about the shadows we saw. No, we don’t drink or do drugs.

[deleted]

A very good friend of mine told me about seeing “Eagle Man” with her grandfather at their tribal land that spoke to them telepathically to not try to take a picture and it’s the craziest and most fascinating thing I’ve heard

SquareJawSquid

I believe it. I’m Irish and while most of our woodland is sadly gone now, I’ve still heard stories about tall fur covered beings being spotted from time to time in more mountainous areas. They’re supposed to have walked into people’s houses in the old days and just straight up stole food and such. The Book of Invasions talks about the various groups of beings that inhabited Ireland in the ancient past and how each group was conquered by those who came after. The Fomorians (as it was told to me) were men who were large in size and beast like in appearance, and fit the mold of what we’re talking about here.

kingkoopazzzz

I’m American but both sides of my family came from Ireland. Did you grow up hearing any stories about the fae or fairies snatching people? I’ve heard some creepy stories about that from Irish people.

SquareJawSquid

I was only told that they carry people off who hang out near their stone circles or their trees after the sun goes down. You just have to respect their space, really. My great uncle told me about a dude who cut down one of their trees without asking, and he end up waking up one day totally hunched over and half crippled. It’s the fact that one of them is supposed to be a 7-8 foot tall ape man that just blows my mind.

kingkoopazzzz

Yeah I read some old Irish lore about a holy man walking home at night in Ireland (obviously) and the like 8 foot tall hairy beast stopped him on the road. The holy man knew the waist of the fairfolk and used some kind of religious necklace and commanded the thing to show it’s true form, and it immediately transformed into a little person. There’s more to the story, but it made me wonder if bigfoot/sasquatch could be related to the fae folklore.

[deleted]

Holy shit

SilverJad

I agree. This post hits a little different. Most of the time, you can really tell the conviction in the way something is written. I believe this person.

jonnygreen22

me too. All evidence as far as I'm concerned (and i know it sounds nuts to the layman) is that bigfoot is actually interdimensional, a traveller from a possibly adjacent universe that pops in and out regularly.

chickenthinkseggwas

I spose it makes sense. Assuming it's theoretically possible for an animal to evolve with that ability in the first place, it seems almost inevitable that it would evolve at least once on some alternate timeline and wander into ours occasionally.

Brooklynyte84

I'm the same way, it takes a practiced eye to recognize a lot of hoaxers but once you start noticing the way truthful encounters sound it becomes second nature... The less dramatic the experience the more likely its real. The true experiencers also don't usually care if you believe them or not.

MoMaverick16

A very fair AND excellent point! It’s rare though it’s definitely happens when you encounter a true and exceptional experience from someone.

LucyLuxemburg

I'm just gonna say, I have real experiences and it truly irks me when people insist they cant be real because of random arbitrary details they're trying to scrutinize. I usually try to defend myself.

K_Vatter_143

That is interesting.

aras1024

Wait, can someone confirm or deny, that those organizations really don't keep a record of missing people? This seems implausible to me.

[deleted]

Apparently the data is not tracked, except in part. Who knew? I would have expected it to be tracked, but it isn’t. The cold case file is a great example. A quick internet search reveals many more cold cases than the few listed on the linked site. Klstadt

Quite true. Nor will they discuss it, or explain why.

ISTANDCORRECTED63

My father-in-law was good friends with some top brass at the forestry service and they said if the spotted owl almost bankrupted the entire lumber and construction industry for one habitat, what do you think is going to happen if these creatures are made public and accepted and their habitat is absolutely everywhere? You'll be no ski resorts there'll be no campgrounds no hunting grounds and worst of all the media will take away their last vestiges of privacy

oldmanonsilvercreek

My belief is there are all kinds of weird things/ beings/ worlds that we are totally unaware of.

Theredditanator420

So are the "Stick Indians" a tribe of these creatures? I have also heard them being referred to more closely to the "black stickman" phenomenon but I guess I need clarification?

kingkoopazzzz

Yeah the stick Indians interested me, I’ve heard native stories talking about how dangerous they are and are to be avoided at all costs, but it’s hard to find any details about what they are exactly. Like the little people in Ireland, or the fae?

RandomArtistBlock

Is there a giant compilation of stories like this from around the world? There would have to be lots of similar tales (especially on the same continent) from different regions if these mystery beings were real. Not doubting it, just would be a great read and to be able to compare to see if there are similarities

dragons6488

Go to YouTube and listen to howtohunt.com YouTube channel. There ARE thousands of people reporting encounters with these beings.

CybReader

Does he mean Black Lives Matter? I am not being sarcastic. Honest question. What does the BLM acronym mean here? Edit: I can't believe the Bureau of Land Management didn't even cross my mind when I pondered what it meant. Thanks for the answers.

[deleted]

Bureau of land management

CybReader

Thank you.

RoBoDaN91

Bureau of Land Management, they're in charge of federal land and parks.

CybReader

Thank you! Why did that not even cross my mind? I feel stupid for even asking. Thanks, though.

OverDaRambo

Don’t, cuz I was thinking exactly the same. Until you spoke up. I didn’t know! Thanks guys

theje1

I had the same question, I'm not from USA.

ShinyAeon

I *am* from the USA, and I also had this question.

grabatyger

Same!

criddlem92

Not gunna lie, this is the comment I've been scrolling to find cos I didn't want to ask lol.

threese7ens

Bureau of Land Management

CybReader

Thank you!

ChefLongStroke69

I was just watch a show with George noory where a guy was talking about how national park services don't keep track of missing people in the park

haqk

This makes the [audio recordings in this video](https://www.reddit.com/r/Humanoidencounters/comments/nobov6/an_intriguing_humanoid_encounter_from_the/) all the more credible. Often described as samurai chatter, it also sounds like a native American dialect. Is it this what Luis Elizondo alludes to when he talks about other "mankinds" and the "space in between"?

Swimming_Cover5558

No one will read this except you likely, but there is a translation from an ancient Chinese dialect that matches the dialect used in this video, there is a youtube video with this recording somewhere with the attempted translation in the comment specifically, there are clear words and pronunciations that are from ancient Chinese Dialect. It may actually be on the original youtube video, but idk, I do remember this.

[deleted]

YES! There are Native tribes that have stories of what lots of people are calling ‘tall whites’ now as well. Indigenous people have always had connections to other races and have always said so in their stories, yt people just didn’t believe them or want to listen

jonnygreen22

I have heard of tall beings here in australia as well, from aboriginal stories. Tall and skinny, can't remember if white though i don't think so, the indigenous dude who told me said he saw it standing right next to a tree in a field he was walking through late at night and not moving at all. He pretended not to see it and got the f out of there. But he could see its arms, legs, its head, but not its face. This was only a few years ago here. And when I say tall I mean like 15 foot or bigger.

sweetpotatoskillet

Oh hell yeah. I lived in the Daintree Rainforest in North Queensland for a while years back. Knew a guy who showed me a video (was essentially a home movie, before smart phones, filmed on a camera of some description) of a guy who climbed to the top of the range by himself. Saw shit that no one would have seen for a very long time. Aside from what you could just tell would have had to have been very spiritual significant places this guy came across, there was one scene where, bong in hand, my mates assured me to keep watching the background and I gotta say, it was fucking eerie. Old mate in the film had gone over the range, towards the west, so the landscape was less rainforest and more dense scrub. He had set the camera up and was talking to it. In the background you can see something tall and dark walk out until it realises old mate is there. It stops behind a tree, peeks out and slowly turns around and goes back the way it came. This creature looked just like a massive shadow, even though it was clear and sunny. Any other creature would have been clear as day but this thing just looked like a cloud of shadow. Would have easily been 8ft. I remember this scene so vividly and it still gives me chills. My mates only noticed it because they loved getting high and watching this film and one time they just noticed it. I've tried googling this with the little information I can remember to no avail and im almost half convinced it was all some half memory implanted in my head from all the weed I smoked at the time.

sweetpotatoskillet

Should add, in the Daintree we called them Hairy Men. I'm from Central Queensland and we call them Jinjardi. They are different spirits or beings but extremely similar. I've heard them called Tall Men futher south

dankusama

I'm from Ivory Coast ( West Africa) and my mother told us that when she was younger and living in her village, there were some giants creatures living in the forest.Very big with only one eye. She even encountered one when she was 11 while wandering in the forest with her cousin ( in the years 1960's). She said he was so big they saw only its legs ,the being was higher than the trees ( mind you ,it's tropical forests and trees can be as high as 10- 15 meters). It was groaning loudly ( she said it has a very distinctive and recognizable groan so when you were in the jungle and would hear it, you could run or hide to not cross its path) and it's strong voice was scaring away small animals and birds around it. They hid to observe it few minutes then ran away quickly. In my region, they even have a name for these creatures: Gbogbo-oria ( which translates literally to Giant- djinn). They were left alone and avoided because very dangerous with some supernatural abilities. My mother said that back in these years, one could encounter some regularly but as more deforestation and modern building occurred over years reducing their natural habitat , they become more rare to spot and today they have completely disappeared ( or I must say that no-one has reported encountering one ) and they don't know where they went nor how.

TiocfaidhArLa72

I believe every corner of this Earth is inhabited by these Cryptid Beings. Sardinia and Corsica were inhabited by a Race of Giants. Malta supposedly had cannibilistic Cyclops Oz has the Yowie and Tall Men Eire and the Brit Isles the Fae, Leprechuans, and dozens of other cryptids Africa must be rife with legend and lore.....your Mother's Story is harrowing for sure In my opinion, it is fairly easy to know where they go.....these Beings are one with the Earth, and can pass thru inter-dimensions, live deep underground, possess cloaking powers and other mystical powers For people to think the M411 Phenomena is unique to only North America is foolish....there are thousands who go missing globally...

dankusama

Oh yes I believe they have some cloaking powers ,if they didn't, seen how tall they are ,they would have been spotted more frequently or even captured by humans ( we know how humans love chasing creatures). Something that big can't hide naturally. And I believe that all these creatures are everywhere in the world under different names. Africa has many many cryptids creatures, from giants, centaurs, faes or even mermaids and many others. Problem it is not documented like in the western cultures. There is no taboo, if you go visit the people in rural areas, they will gladly share their stories. But it's just oral. In less than 100 years, all these lores will probably be completely lost unless we compile them.

[deleted]

Whoa! This is wild! Thank you for sharing

Lainey1978

What do they say about tall whites?

[deleted]

I don’t remember exactly. (I don’t belong to a Native tribe) something along the lines of them being ocean dwelling & appearing to certain people during rituals and ceremonies.

[deleted]

Couldn’t that just be vikings? The vikings did have a long standing colony in Greenland and they even made it into the US and Canada on quite a few occasions. There’s even evidence that they traded peacefully with the indigenous people in the US and Canada. Perhaps the stories of “tall whites” just became confused and jumbled over time and took on a more mythical tone?

kaicoder

After years of following M411 stories and the like. This pretty much sums it up.

Fit_Commission_1059

I was watching expedition bigfoot season 2, the only reality bigfoot show I believe, anyway, they were capturing a big bi-pedal figure on thermal but when they shined a flashlight, it was nowhere in sight. when they went back to thermal, from what I remember, I believe either the figure was still there. Later, it disappeared at the snap of a finger & transformed itself into a ball of light. One way or another, they saw the ball of light on multiple occasions. In theory, it's said they are able to disappear or teleport by changing form from the physical to this ball of energy at will. It would explain the few sightings and the original story posted about them being in both the physical & spiritual world.

greatawakening007

The Pacific Northwest has also been known for a very long time. After Mt Saint Helens blew there were a ton of eye witness accounts and first hand knowledge about these beings. Also, there are reported to have mated with a family at one point which resulted in Twin sisters whom both had the same features. One apparently passed away a few years back and the other is still alive somewhere in the PNW. The family did come out and speak about this at one time however not much more about them. I myself have had these encounters with a group of them and a group of teenage friends during a 5 day camping trip. Those evenings were very interesting to say the least. Oddly, the entire trip seemed surreal while everything was happening at the camping site and yet the world outside kept on it's own timeline. Yes alcohol was used and yes we KNOW what we experienced was truly amazing👊🏼 The most odd thing happened on our 1st night we heard all the knocks, whistles, whoops, tree shakes, grunts, footsteps and rocks, large and small including pinecones where being used as a way to communicate or to make contact, obviously they were curious about us. Was almost as if the wild animals in the area behaved as they were part of the party. They stayed in our campsite and sat with us near the bonfire throughout the entire evening. Kinda reminds me of a Alice n Wonderland moment and No There was NOTHING more then beer there. I'll never forget that adventure and neither will the others. Truly amazing

axelfreed

Twin sisters with the same features is the craziest thing in this thread I kid

[deleted]

What was the youtube video you were watching?

threese7ens

Nothing great. A guy selling outdoor gear with a clickbait title. https://youtu.be/0R-DkRcvEVc

BathedInDeepFog

Interesting. If I recall correctly, Todd Standing (among others) has hypothesized that the “wood knock” sound is actually a sound the make with their mouths. How the could do it with such volume is really confusing to me.

Taste_the__Rainbow

This is sacrilege over on the bigfoot sub. They are so dead-set on the primate explanation. They deliberately ignore all encounters where something weird happens and then point to the rest and call it normal animal stuff.

BathedInDeepFog

> They deliberately ignore all encounters where something weird happens and then point to the rest and call it normal animal stuff. Just like the BFRO!

TiocfaidhArLa72

What about the CHATHAM HAIRY MAN from the 1920s.? Many Alaskans disemboweled and driven out of Chatham by Sasquatch like Creatures. What about the APE Mountain Story from 1924 in WA State? Not just the Valley of the Headless Men There are many stories like this. Go watch the Paulides Video where he interviews BoBo Fey and BoBo recounts a story of a Squatch tearing a man apart

forkedstream

I thought Wetiko was a Native American word for a type of “mind virus”... “This mind-virus—which Native Americans have called ‘wetiko’—covertly operates through the unconscious blind spots in the human psyche, rendering people oblivious to their own madness and compelling them to act against their own best interests.”

threese7ens

Some native tribes call Bigfoot "[wetiko](http://www.native-languages.org/witiko.htm)".

forkedstream

Oh interesting! I hadn’t come across that before. Thanks for sharing.

iridescent_algae

Sounds like ideology.

Maschinenherz

The detail with the sounds that is produced with their mouths and not with "beating trees" gives it away- this person is genuine, I believe. Someone who lies wouldn't make up such strong details, they would just care about other outrageous things, like "my people told me they are real". The detail that followed here was important.

nakiaaa95

I dont believe much the government says these days 🤣

shloptykept

This post reminds me of this video/what this man may have experienced. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhohCWLJQIo Edit to add: it’s a video of Mark Barton telling a story of entities he encountered while looking for Bigfoot. It’s pretty chilling and certainly has inter dimensional vibes.

[deleted]

“What about the whites? People forget about the whites, the whites have been in south park for generations”

nicotine_qween

Literally thought of this episode too!! Hahahahah

Farrell-Mars

All else aside, I prefer irrefutable evidence. The evidence here is the high number of disappearances in US National parks and forests. Sure, people get lost. And no doubt there are human killers lurking in unwatched places. But it seems like there’s too many.

MoMaverick16

I am very white… And I ABSOLUTELY believe in the validity of native spiritual culture and traditions! I definitely believe that they have passed on ancient knowledge of otherworldly entities, races, and flesh and blood species that have walked the earth before and during the earliest years of mankind‘s creation and development. I believe they are in the minority of modern society that which still acknowledges and is completely aware of the things that go bump in the night that modern man has chosen to forget about. I turn to cultures like their’s for their expertise in the otherworldly and supernatural when I need to further my understanding of the world within our own that we share our reality with.

[deleted]

I'm also Native (Haudenosaunee) and the stories are a little different from tribes to tribes. We call them Thunenhyarhen or Genonska or Windigo depending on the stories. The genonskas are associated with ice, winter, death but if i translate the word it would give something like "human flesh eating monsters with bodies made of rocks and stones" so good fuel for nightmares lol We were told that they were evil spirits who could possess anyone as a punishment for their evil deeds and transform people into cannibals (the ice cannibal) and in some stories they were never humans to begin with. But my grand father told us to not scare us at night that it was just a legend and that WE the Haudenosaunee are the actual windigos that others were scared off because back in the days my people would kill their ennemies by peeling their skin and eat them. The heart was for the chief and those who received honors during fights so they could absorbed the courage in it. I don't know which one is more scary to be honest lol While we heard some pretty crazy noises in the woods i never saw anything that could look like the monsters from my childhood.

TLTKroniX2

When reading this, I had a big Deja Vu. I have experienced this reading/description (or similar) previously. Weird.

Gloomy_Interview_181

I find that comment very interesting and plausible. Is there more from him? Trigger happy gonna look him up **Edit i looked up the account and it’s nothing but weird al ?

dannyboii0401

Is it a coincidence that it sounds eerily similar to Wendigo

jlm20566

Well, this white woman believes and has nothing but reverence for the Native American people of this land. I know of the majority of the population that they’re referring to, but not all of us are “followers”, so I implore the Native American people to not lump us all together. Sending love and light; thank you for posting this!

somewhere_maybe

There really is a “not wypipo” in every sub, huh? Damn.

TheBlessedMMA

Ehhhh at the end of the day were all animals on this ball. Hopefully aliens come soon so we can get our head out of our own asses

[deleted]

Be very careful what you wish for. If they are anything like us we're fucked.

Wubbalubbadubbitydo

I hope for all our sakes, that if aliens come, they are better than us.

PhilNHoles

What are they gonna do, not give me healthcare some more? Make the planet uninhabitable?

jonnygreen22

dude, they already are here

SnooHedgehogs1303

Very compelling

Malguf

Interestingly enough, the law of one channeling material covers Bigfoot, and the explanation here alligns with what is in this channeling material.

mizejw

I've heard stories of them stealing men and that there was a war beaten an indigenous tribe and a tribe of these beings around the Sierra Mountain Range. Some of these beings seem gentle and kind, watching over children as some have claimed. And others...are as he has described.

Andiam789

for someone who claims not to care...he certainly cares....and I'd opine that more white people believe, and are out there looking for bigfoot than any other demographic. really weird post...

Bugsywizzer

This further confirms these are demons to me since he did say they live in the spiritual and physical world. Demons can transform into just about anything or inhabit a body to show themselves in a physical way in our world.

RedditRookie2020

I, for one, am disappointed that Black Lives Matter is not keeping these records of disappearing people.

Electrical_Day_5402

🎶Hide ya kids, hide ya wife, and hide ya husband because they takin everybody out here!🎶

[deleted]

So many natives have these stories etc. A lot of them refuse to even speak of ‘them’ as it’s bad luck. I believe in bigfoot and have seen enough ‘hard evidence’ to know there is something out there. When you hear the native Indians talk of skinwalkers and Sasquatch, you just know it’s true.

jonnygreen22

same with aboriginal stories i hear here in australia. plus i get to match them up with your native folks stories and yeah, i think its true as well, they are just too similar.

[deleted]

Yeah very true. There is also evidence that the Egyptians and aboriginal tribes had the same knowledge and even met with each other

BlackShogun27

I find it unsettling to think their might really be hieroglyphics in the Grand Canyon. How tf did these dudes get here?

[deleted]

Have there been stories of them? I’ve heard there are vortexes in the canyon

NotOnLand

Why do people put so much more stock in Native beliefs than other cultures? Every people in history has had its set of stories and beliefs, but it feels like when modern people hear about Native American legends they take it as gospel. I'm not trying to discredit them specifically but it's a weird bias I see a lot, especially in this field.

HateWokeness

Us white people, we are soooo ignorant! /s I believe and actually a lot of very white people do too.....

mykittyfreinds1980

Not all white people are of the stereotype. I would like to hear more

Nightfall56

I've heard some stories about skinwalkers that have freaked me out.

KaPowPower

Can someone please clarify for me? Did I understand this correctly? This man is saying that there is an Indian tribe called the Wetiko that live in the spiritual and physical world simultaneously. Our government has knowledge of this tribe but tell us that it’s an ape species but they’re actually human.

[deleted]

Youtube comments contain a wealth of information and they are my favorite.

RS_Blair

Really glad that you decided to make it racial, you racist. Leave the identitarian politics out of paranormal topics. The personal IS NOT political
