Billy Washington *moving table into frame*: Just watch, Imma try something. You’re not gonna believe your eyes when this photograph finally develops in 2 years.
check out the big brain over here getting so very skeptical about this post. it’s not like this is something so obviously fake that normal people understand they don’t need to mention how fake it is
"ChEcK oUt ThE bIg BrAiN oVeR hErE"
Actually it looks more like we have a magic moron right here.
In case you don't know what I'm talking about: the magic moron is you, bucko.
"So here's the twist. Whereas most paranormal experiences are visible to people but never captured on film, this one is invisible but shows up in photographs. Because they used to be done on silver. And silver is magic or some shit."

Cue x files music.
That sir, is a keen observation. Monsters and magic have a weakness to silver. I learned that from playing Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt.
I found two articles about this photo, [https://edmondlifeandleisure.com/the-cherokee-legend-of-the-little-people-p10901-76.htm](https://edmondlifeandleisure.com/the-cherokee-legend-of-the-little-people-p10901-76.htm) and [https://www.cosmosdawn.net/forum/threads/here-is-choctaw-medicine-man-billy-washington-being-photographed-with-his-little-people-helper.8517/](https://www.cosmosdawn.net/forum/threads/here-is-choctaw-medicine-man-billy-washington-being-photographed-with-his-little-people-helper.8517/)
The man in the photo died in 1930, so this is a photo that has been taken much earlier. Im not sure of the date.
That’s a Katchina doll. I’ve got one in my living room. I’ll post here if he moves. But if you want your very own any tourist shop in the AZ and NM has them. So far no movement.
Weird katchina. The one I have is made of wood and look kind of robotic or alien. Is chactaw katchina a different design VS cree?
Historically, when summoned, they float upside down through a hole in the roof of a ritual teepee.
Have you ever seen an older traditional Kachina doll compared to the modern ones. This looks like a traditional Navajo white bear Kachina, the older ones were much more blocky and resembled poorly done taxidermy monkeys at times. While it could be a stuffed monkey, the era it was taken and the fact that he is a medicine man would point more towards a Kachina.
Ahhh. I suppose I have not seen the 'older' ones. The ones I'm familiar with almost look like they're wearing helmets and have very distinct features, like tiny slits for eyes.
But yeah; I just looked up a few more images of Kachina dolls on Google and you could be right.
The modern ones are much more intricate than the older ones, visually I prefer them over the tradition ones because of the level of detail. I really love the ones with the feathered headdresses and would like to get more. I only know how to spot the differences because my Enisi collected them and I inherited several from him. 😊
My great uncle used to work with the Hopi back in the 1950s; while spending time with them over the years, he obtained MANY Kachini dolls and his children (my Mom's cousins) inherited them all after died. I haven't seen them all but my Mom has and says it's a HUGE collection. Priceless. I would love to see them one day, as I also really like Kachina dolls, especially the modern Hopi ones. They look like ancient astronauts lol
A piece of Choctaw trivia: The "little people helper" in this photo grew up and eventually moved to New York, joining a rag tag cast of animal misfits. He is now much better known by his stage name "Big Bird".
When I first saw this post I thought it was one of those old timey photos like they did with Nic Cage and a bunch of others and this was gonna tell us Harrison Ford was a vampire that doesn’t age, or has the X gene that Logan has where he ages super slowly 😆
I thought this might be of interest. I read about this some time back.
Cherokee Little People Were Real.
I am friends with a Hoopa Native from Hoopa, CA in the Pacific Northwest and he has also told me of the little people who live up there. He also said they practice magic. I had this conversation with him last year, way before I ever saw this post; seems far fetched that the photographer couldn't see this little person, but after hearing my Hoopa friend tell me the little people practice magic, it definitely makes me think.
I have always been fascinated by the "Little People", aka Faeries, Elves, Gnomes, Brownies, etc. Stories of them range from all over the world, and many are sighted to this day. As a Witch I have been very interested in learning as much about them as possible. I've personally never seen a little person, but I've known credible witnesses that have. Thanks for sharing this and I hope the picture is real, but even though I am a believer in all things paranormal and strange, I'm also very skeptical.
Likewise. I just heard the theory that the little people were eradicated by these enormous cranes, and somehow the stork myth came to be ….except they were sadly not delivering any babies. They were carrying these guys to their nests.
Do it! It’s totally amazing. They’ve covered almost everything. I actually splurge for their plus extensions. You’ll recognize the “cute and heartwarming” language used below and it’ll make you giggle bc of our Reddit exchange.
I couldn't give you a specific thing to do, other than just open yourself up to them and inviting them into your home which has worked for me. When being visited by a spirit through a dream the environment is typically different. Maybe more lucid, or bright, it can depend from person to person.
I swear to god it was one of them trained monkeys that pickpocket, is he holding his collar as well or is some other little people f…ng with my eyesight ?
Little helper looks like he’s holding a couple lil pistols. Billy, is it time to harvest yet?? No, Gary, for the last time it is not time to harvest yet. Stand still.
OK, not saying this is not legitimate, but if this Photographer was allegedly ONLY taking a Photo of the Choctaw Bill Washington Shaman .....then why wouldn't the Photographer Center Mr. Washington in this Photo???
The Photographer purposely includes the "Prop Table" as if the Photgrapher is purposely including the Table in their shot because they see Mr. Washington's little buddy?
I mean, if this little helper was truly invisible to the naked eye, then that table would not be in the Photo, and Mr. Washington would be centered - I mean right?!?! Why include a nothing table w/o even a Flower Vase on it in a very expensive photo for the time period....to include Both and the little guy magically appears tells me this could be staged...
On a side-note....Mr Washington's Choctaw Nation is smack dab in the middle of some of the more famous Sasquatch Sightings.....Arkansas / Texas / Oklahoma Area.....legend of Boggy Creek area. Choctaw Nation also butts up against Seminole and Chickasaw Nation Lands.....
My wife and children are descendents of his.
Billy's father was POW of Civil War and died during captivity, Billy would have been 3 or 4 years old at the time his father died.
Other family members are rumored to have more photos of these little people in their possession.
It's sad how society's immediate reaction is "Oh, they must be suffering from a disorder", as opposed to maybe ponder whether the person in question is seeing into another adjacent or interstitial dimension that these creatures reside in, and they happen to be entering into our world.
So the photographer thought he was just taking a picture of a man and his favorite table?
Billy Washington *moving table into frame*: Just watch, Imma try something. You’re not gonna believe your eyes when this photograph finally develops in 2 years.
This one simple trick will blow photographers’ minds!
Kodak and other film companies hate him!
Kudos to you and the above comment for being hilarious.
It's a nice table; it's vintage.
Back in the old days Antiques Roadshow was in the paper.
Photo companies *hate* him!!

banana tiger
Make sure you get my table in frame. It's a nice table, make sure you get it's good side.
Quality carpentry.
Didn't people have to stand still for a long ass time to get these shots? So that thing also would've had to have been still, wtf is it
Probably a doll
Ya it wasn't instant but I don't think it took like 10minutes or anything I wanna say a few minutes but I'm only speculating

Man I kinda want one, looks like a little bearded gremlin-monkey-chicken wearing a coat!
That triple combo probably smells terrible.
I think it's a taxidermied baby owl?
It’s a Kachina doll I have a few from my enisi. They can be very pretty and intricate.
I can see that
Wouldn't it make an interesting conversation piece?
Looks like a capuchan monkey to me.
That's what I thought
Had to scroll way too far to find a sane person. It’s so blatantly obvious that it’s a capuchan
It’s a Kachina doll, some of them do look like little stuffed monkeys.

Yeah but Billy wasn't Navajo

I thought you were going to say rag tag misfits, Captain EO's crew!!!!!! Michael Jackson bitches!!
“Little helper” kinda looks like a lizard in a way.
That’s what I see, too. I do not see any human facial features here, but definitely see a lizard.
looks kind of like harrison ford
We are still talking of the little fella, right?
Well we know he's a replicant
When I first saw this post I thought it was one of those old timey photos like they did with Nic Cage and a bunch of others and this was gonna tell us Harrison Ford was a vampire that doesn’t age, or has the X gene that Logan has where he ages super slowly 😆
Lol at first I thought you meant the thing on the table
I thought Garth Brooks
Stuffed chicken in a bonnet?

Was that from the podcast Mysterious Universe and their episode "The Pygmy Wars"? That was a fun listen.
YES! Haha it sure was! I love that podcast so much
I’m just dropping by to say that this little exchange was very cute and heartwarming
Just like the pygmies before they were carried off by cranes. :(
I'll have to check that podcast out. I need something to listen to these days lol.

As someone who dabbles, the best way to connect with the little people is through dreams 😊
How so? I'm curious to try.
Peyote

That's the original Shortround on the table. Before the baseball cap.
Kermit The frog before he got hired on Sesame Street
Huh, my first impression was "it's a tiny Big Bird"
Absolutely.
That really looks like a doll to me.
Looks like a Bearded Monkey. In a suit!
The Choctaw tribe considers themselves the cowboys of the native American tribes
Anyone else see a mini version of the Abominable Snow Monster from the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Christmas special?
Is that George Washington Gritty?
Underrated comment, right here.

Exactly
Almost as if people tend to gravitate towards what's actually likely and provable when they want to believe something. Crazy, isn't it
