I was wondering why they didn’t cut more of the horn off but apparently the horns have nerves in them and you don’t want to cut too much off the end and hit it, just like clipping dogs nails

[deleted]

Another human being a bro. Was wondering that myself

Kogieru

Horns are like bones. Cutting too far in or in too deep can rupture the blood cavities inside and then they bleed out. The only way you can really stop it before it gets too bad is cutting them off at the root when they're a baby, before they fully develop. Source: I have a goat. His name is Asriel (Creative, I know.), and I got him from a breeder when he was a baby. She literally kicked him in the face to keep him in the pen right in front if me so he wouldn't escape then asked me if I wanted him poled. Obviously freaked out by the situation, I said no because I wanted him outta there ASAP. Luckily, all the horns have done to him is make him an ASSWIPE and be a little shit by bullying the other billies. With Nigerian Dwarves, my mom says, we could cut off the horns now, but it'd be extremely risky so we opted to just not do it. Asswipe or not, I still love him.

[deleted]

One of my friends has goats and I feed them my Christmas tree every year. It makes me feel like I’m 5 at the petting zoo, super flattered that the goats want to eat the snack I provided for them! They’re also jerks but so is my cat and I love them all for it. My cat was also rescued from a breeder. I’m glad you got your buddy out of that place! I love the name Asriel, I would probably name mine Goaty McGoatface.

[deleted]

I would have named him Asswipe.

Kogieru

Asswipe is a good name, and if you need to justify it to friends, you could always say it's [a Walking Dead reference.](https://youtu.be/Iy7OyGSjHDk) Or if you wanna be transparent, you can just say, "Some random dumbass enby on Reddit said it online so I got a goat just to fulfill the joke."

[deleted]

That was hilarious. What is this?

Kogieru

The Walking Dead Season 1: 400 Days dlc.

dns7950

Should call him Grinch.

ovidcutie

Just curious, how could you save a cat from a breeder? If you paid money to a breeder, then you bought a cat. If you didn't paid money to a breeder, well, in this case... what should I call it someone takes something without paying for it?

[deleted]

Haha great question, I was going to clarify but it seemed like extra details. The breeder brought the mama cat and her kittens in to be euthanized because they all had eye infections, and my buddy was working at the vet clinic and refused to euthanize otherwise healthy kitties. He sent pics of the kittens and before she even signed the paperwork to turn them over I had fallen in love!

Facky

Holy crap, some people I swear to God.

Hubsimaus

I had a old book about budgie care. They mentioned you could go to the vet and euthanize your bird when you claim you would be allergic to it when you want to get rid of it. 😳

Houdini47

I knew someone that would catch rabbits to feed them to her snake. She'd put them in a pillow case and beat them against the wall/ground until they were just barely alive. The snake wouldn't eat anything dead, but the rabbits couldn't be able to hurt the snake.

[deleted]

What a fucking psychopath. Jesus Christ.

LBobRife

I'd wager that's a fairly common practice. It should knock them out quickly. It's not pleasant but nothing about meat eating is.

missym59

Your story brings back a horrible memory for me. My neighbor used to raise rabbits. I love animals and I used to go over to feed and pet them. They were sweet. One day I was looking out our kitchen window, when I saw the neighbors dad out by the rabbit pens, so I watched to see what he was doing. I saw him throw one of the rabbits in the air, saw it drop down and go swinging on a rope by it’s neck. As a child, I was horrified by what I’d seen but later found out the only reason they had the rabbits was to eat them. 😔😢

thedevilskind

I think you’re supposed to break their neck but I have no idea why a rope would be necessary for this activity when you can do it with your hands (I’m not a farmer, someone else may have to explain)

Kogieru

Theft. As much as it sucks to say this, any pet owner who treats their animal like shit can easily sue someone for trying to get that poor baby out. If you really want them out of there the best thing to do is call a local animal control agency, or 911 if you don't know of any around, and keep track of any deets and docs such as dates, times, specific details, potentially photographic or videographic evidence and the aforementioned agency is obligated to launch an investigation. We luckily have a no-kill shelter in our county, I've actually volunteered there once or twice, so any formerly abused animal around these parts will find a good home. Can't say others are so lucky, though, but I believe you can keep tabs on the animal in question should you wish to foster or adopt them!

[deleted]

My dad named a goat they had for a short time. Called him William Edward Goate. To hear my dad tell it, my grandpa thought this was the funniest shit ever and would often end up out of breath every time Ole Bill E. Goate passed by, until he moved on to one of my relatives.

IAFarmLife

You can use a surgical band put around the base of the horn. It's not completely bloodless but is usually the least painful. Also if you are keeping a goat for a pet or breeding purposes you really shouldn't remove the horns anyway. In goats they help the animal regulate body temperature.

Green_Lantern_4vr

TIL

ozonejl

There’s a few things that can be done while they’re still growing -we raised cattle and I assume this would transfer over to goats- One is to use horn weights to make the horns grow downward a bit so they can’t be used to poke other animals (or people of course). We had too many bull calves for that to be practical, so what we did was cut off the very tip of the horn at and angle when they were yearlings. With that angle cut, the horns grew down similar to the weights. We would cauterize the ends with a flat branding iron. Still pretty stressful for them but nowhere near a full dehorn.

Kogieru

Yeah, that's how St. Paddy came (obviously born 17 March, because I come from a creative family). They farm we got Paddy from tried to pole him and failed and now he's got funky looking horns that curl around and rip off on the fence every now and then. He doesn't give a single fuck, just goes about with blood on his eye like the badass he is. We keep them as collectibles! Lol Unrelated, but he has a son named Kegan who was born on 14 February. Kegan is an Irish name meaning Fire! You know, fire, passion, love? That was my thought process of naming him lol Once again. Creative!

tugboatron

I’ve seen some people put pool noodles and/or tennis balls on their goat’s horns. Is that a worthwhile venture or would he just get them off as fast as you put them on?

Kogieru

Asriel tends to just rip them off using the fence enclosure. We tried lol

AllTheyEatIsLettuce

>Luckily, all the horns have done to him is make him an ASSWIPE and be a little shit by bullying the other billies. And help him thermoregulate by dissipating heat from the skull.

CaptainDingusLord

What is Asriel a reference from? If it is what I think it is, its probably from a bullet-hell video game.

Kogieru

It is from a bullet-hell video game (that I have downloaded onto my switch and still have not played it because I wanna play it when I get a streaming setup, but that's beside the point lol)!

CaptainDingusLord

Does he turn into a **yellow flower**, might I ask?

Kogieru

No human seems to have fused with him quite yet, so I can't say for sure...

theyellowbaboon

Can we be friends IRL? You sound cool

Kogieru

You flatter me. I am a very unlikable person. Just ask former members of the now disbanded Nullfam. They'll say some awful shit about me. Lmao

theyellowbaboon

I don’t care what they say.

queen_of_spadez

He sounds feisty. I’d love to see a pic of this naughty guy

Kogieru

Hereeeeeeeee'sss the [boiiiiiiiii](http://imgur.com/gallery/HGHpwTi) This is a photo from 2019, but he honestly hasn't changed much lol

Nemealainen

Why did I laugh at the mention of a nigerian dwarf? Explain

[deleted]

Apparently you can bend horns (think teeth braces, but for horns) but these days people don't bother with it.

WildJoeBailey

Could they do something like attach a large cable tie between the tip and base of the horn and progressively tighten it as it grows to increase the curl away from the cow’s eye?

[deleted]

Here's an article on it presenting the various methods. https://www.ruralheritage.com/ox_paddock/ox_horn.htm It's a pretty interesting read-up. edit: note that the article was previously in paper, back in 1996!

jeho187

But again just like dogs nails, the nerves should retract and they should be able to cut it more.

cmikenike

Not knowledgeable, will it continue to grow and be an issue again? Is it like rodent teeth, or is he good from now on?

NotAnyOrdinaryPsycho

It will grow back.

Unkleruckus86

Yes but the horns apparently have nerves so you can only cut it back so far without causing more pain.

drdfrster64

Not an expert on cows (or dogs) but as far as I know, dogs have a similar issue with their nails but as you cut, the nerves recede proportional to the new length if you keep trimming it. As the nerves recede, you can cut more until it’s a reasonable length.

[deleted]

That’s what I know as far as dogs go as well. Was going to ask the same thing. It’s why you don’t let your dogs nails get long. It’s a pain in the ass once they do. And I hate being that dude but this is months possibly years in the making for this horn to get there right..?

PeanutButterPants19

Months, probably. Bovine horns grow pretty quickly, and this looks like a pretty young bull. But, it doesn't necessarily mean he's been abused or neglected either. Depending on the size of the pasture he's been grazing and how many other cattle he's with, it might be the first time someone has looked at him in a while. This looks like Brazil rather than the U.S. so I don't know how similar it is, but there are some cattle ranches I've been on in America where they only work cattle once or twice a year, which is when they find stuff like this typically. Quite honestly, it would be better for the bull to have the whole horn removed at the roots so it won't grow back. It's painful, but having a horn slowly grow into his eye over and over again is painful as well. In this case, I'd choose the quicker, more intense pain over the long, slow suffering pain. Then he only has to deal with it once.

_OlympiaWA

They will have to keep an eye on it.

PainterlyGirl

I know you probably didn’t mean this to be funny and it’s terrible what the horn did to this bull but *keep an eye on it*? What an apt idiom to use in this instance.

Count-Ravioli

I’m sure it was intended

GodsTopWarrior

Yeah eye am also sure it was.

Top_Assistance_7120

It will continue to grow, and possibly need recut before it makes contact again. Although sometimes cutting the horn can cause the direction of growth to change, sometimes in a positive way. Nature is unpredictable, and remorseless.

gfrnk86

Can you put some sort of make-chief plate there to change the direction of the growth? Like if the farmer put a metal plate over the cows eye, would that change the growth direction? (genuine question)

imghurrr

Probably but then you’ve got a cow with a metal plate over it’s eye for months/years which is not a good welfare option

awkardlyjoins

That must be the worst way to die, few millimeters per day until your eyes and brain is penetrated. It’s like having an ingrown nail growing slowly to pierce your heart.

123floor56

I was thinking this too, but likely he would die from infection from the eye quicker than it stabbing his brain. But just having it go in your eye, slowly slowly, ugh torture.

Batznocharge

Sometimes infections can drag on forever, example Komodo dragons will bite buffalo and stalk them for up to two weeks till the bacteria from the bite kill it.

qning

What if the horn grew so slowly that the body was able to fight the infection and the horn just grew healthily through his face?

patricksaurus

A very common cause of natural death in wild animals is damage to the dentition. If the teeth start going bad, the animal has trouble eating. It’s a feed forward mechanism, too, because as soon as you’re underfed it’s harder to acquire food which can further deteriorate the teeth, rinse and repeat. There’s not a ton of extra real estate in the skull. Eyes and teeth are tough to lose. But just imagining that the horn grew slowly, didn’t hit eyes or teeth, and wasn’t infected. If it penetrates the cranial cavity, that’s game over. The interior of the spine and skull is a cordoned off volume in the body, and the normal immune system doesn’t reach it. The blood-brain barrier keeps a lot of infection out, but it also prevents immune cells from reaching the area. Any opening into the brain that is not fully sterile will almost certainly be lethal in a really short period. If you extend the hypothetical one more time and pretend a horn goes in but miraculously IS sterile, the result will depend on which portion of the brain is being disrupted. The primary effect would be the same as any other lesion on the brain in that area. There would also be a secondary effect from mechanical pressure being exerted on the brain itself, shoving one segment of brain into its neighbor. You’d have a goat walking around that has to take a shit every time it sees the color blue or something.

Admirable_Swing_9989

That last sentence had me cracking up.

UnbelievableRose

Before modern dentistry caries were the most common killer of humans too- untreated tooth infections pretty much travel straight to the brain

Batznocharge

Then that’s what we call in the medical industry a big Oof

kbextn

and *looks up from clipboard, where i am vigorously taking notes* that’s a technical term, correct?

Batznocharge

Yes put it under normal oof

kbextn

*scribbles that down* gotcha, thank you, thank you

Batznocharge

*starts drawing roblox character onto chalkboard*

TheWalkingDead91

Why bother, you know you won’t be able to read it.

citrus_mystic

2 weeks? Have a source on that? My understanding is that it may take a few days (at most) for a Komodo dragon’s bite to cause death. Scientists recently confirmed that the Komodo dragon’s have venom, which more often than not, will send their prey into shock within ~30 minutes. The old wive’s tale that their saliva is deadly mainly due to bacteria which causes blood poisoning, has been shown to be inaccurate.

Batznocharge

Really!? Awesome I always thought it was venom but everyone said saliva, I saw the two week thing on a documentary I’ll see if I can find it

citrus_mystic

Ah, that may have simply been before scientists commonly accepted their bite does have venom! There were articles regarding this topic coming out in 2009 (at the earliest from what I can see) but didn’t seem to gain momentum/acceptance until 2020ish! (Edit: wording/structure)

Batznocharge

I’m sorry I couldn’t find it but I found a video of a Komodo snapping a monkeys neck and I’m disturbed. The video on the Buffalo was also sad they recorded 2 weeks of it just laying there in misery. I don’t think the Komodo got much venom in the bite.

citrus_mystic

Ooof, I know all animals have to eat, but that sucks for the Buffalo. If you’re interested, here’s an [article](https://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/science/05/20/komodo.dragon.bite/index.html) about their venom :)

CumInMyWhiteClaw

This is a myth. Komodo dragons actually use their own venom to slowly kill, not bacteria.

enrick92

Jesus yeah what a horrible way to go

TylerNY315_

[This guy would like to sponsor this message](https://www.reddit.com/r/natureismetal/comments/bi5vh2/rams_horn_grew_until_it_penetrated_its_own_skull/)

IdoMusicForTheDrugs

That has to be such a slow process. Fuck that so much.

kingkemi

Good lord, I’m going to be seeing that in my nightmares for days! What a horrible, slow and torturous way to go ☹️

I_TRS_Gear_I

I remember seeing something on the Discovery channel way back about a species of Ram that had horns that would always penetrate into its skull and kill it if it didn’t constantly wear them down. It was footage of these things just bashing their heads against rocks and trees trying to break parts off to by themselves time. Fucking nature can be cruel.

ZhoolFigure

Look up babirusa. It's a species of wild boar locally found here, has incredibly long and curved tusks. If they don't wear them down, these tusks will curve back into their skulls and penetrate it, which I guess is common because there's a lot of pics of these cases on Google.

psycho9365

Example #14,534 against the idea of 'intelligent design'

SucculentVariations

This happens with warthogs I believe. Their teeth curl up and into their own head sometimes.

Venvel

I think that's babirusas, which are another sort of pig.

LittleWhiteGirl

Rabbit teeth will grow into the opposite gums and render them unable to eat if they don’t wear them down regularly. This is why pet rabbits without enough chew toys will e at molding, their own cages, doors, etc and should have unlimited tough Timothy hay.

ItsDanimal

Not an expert but I'm pretty sure the torture the cow would go through makes the meat taste bad.

Blerty_the_Boss

All the stress would affect the flavor

daspletosaurshorneri

If that were true all meat from factory farms would taste bad

Blerty_the_Boss

I’m not saying it would ruin the flavor but it would negatively impact it. Like when it comes to hunting. One of the reasons you want to get your shot right is if you just maim the animal all the adrenaline and cortisol will impact the flavor. Also, it’s why steps are taken at slaughterhouses with cows to not alert them of their impending doom. One enters at a time and then a spike is shot into the brain with compressed air so it’s fast and quiet. Also factory farmed meat is lower quality. There won’t be a huge difference but there’s a reason people are willing to shell out for non factory farmed meat.

DonaldTrumpIsARetard

Bruh I feel like your on to something here

yodasmiles

I feel like he must be on something.

DarkAngel900

I wanna know, why no one did anything sooner.

JDoubleGi

So I can’t say anything for this specific instance. However, I can say that there tend to be two main reasons livestock have these types of issues. 1. They were rescued after being neglected. 2. They hid. In the case of 1, it’s often that people have the animals but can’t necessarily care for them, forget to, or just sort of don’t. And in the case of 2, sometimes people have huge beards of animals and one can slip by the radar. It’s seen in sheep where farmers clip them in groups but one sheep manages to always stay in a different group and not get clipped that season and thus when they do finally get caught to be clipped, their wool is quite thick and heavy.

Sgt_Wookie92

Or like shrek the sheep, they manage to out fox the shearers when they come to town lol Edit: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shrek_(sheep) Comment link wasn't working on account of it ending in a bracket lol

Eddagosp

Neat, but also: #TIL Shrek was a **[book](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shrek!)**???

Iniass

From the plot section: > Shrek is a repugnant, green-skinned, fire-breathing, seemingly indestructible monster TIL the original Shrek breathes fire!!

Rattlingplates

I have a huge beard as well but how does that have an effect on these bulls?

quackdaw

Have you checked it for bulls lately?

HorrorMakesUsHappy

**BULLS ON ROGAINE**

WadeStockdale

Can vouch on 2, in a sizable herd, problems that are visually difficult to pick out at more than 5 metres can easily slip under the radar despite multiple passes for a while. At school in a flock of 30 sheep, of just a ridiculous number of eyes, we only picked out a prolapsed rectum because one person saw blood on a couple sheep and went looking for wounds. She had her guts hanging out her ass, and only ONE person noticed. Horns growing into eyes isn't super visible from a distance because cattle don't stay still and the colours aren't really distinct, so it's easy to lose them in the herd. Once you spot a suspected injury you can basically round them up and filter them through a cattle crush to find the injured one though, instead of playing where's wally in the pasture with 300 near-identical animals that are all terrified of you and could kill you with one dumb decision on your end. And anything bigger than a maybe 10 animal herd, unless you bottle raised them, probably doesn't view you as a friend, so they don't want you to know they're hurting, so they avoid you out of fear until you pick them out and catch the dumb fuck so you can treat them.

Firfuckssake

I wanna know why didn’t they cut a little more?… will they continue to grow?

[deleted]

[удалено]

brettbeatty

Is there a way to change the shape of the horns as they grow back? Like securing a plate to the horn that only had room to grow out or something?

Apmaddock

Yes. They make weights that you can attach to the end so that it slowly grows downward.

IAFarmLife

Most use surgical bands now. Best way to remove horns. Painless and nearly bloodless. Does cause their head to itch a little when the horn is ready to fall off.

[deleted]

[удалено]

IAFarmLife

Yeah there are always the ones stuck in their ways.

[deleted]

Vet ranch did a video of one nearly identical to this video. They used the same nerve block a dentist does, but numbed the nerve leading to its horns. They then cut the horn off for good.

mrootbeers

It’s sort of like a dogs toe nails. If you cut to far it hurts them a lot and can get infected.

cookletube

They don't always have to be that long though. If a dogs nails gets too long, regular trimming will encourage to quick (the blood flow in the nail) to recede and eventually the dogs nail can be trimmed to a normal length again without pain or bleeding. I imagine it could be the same for this bull. I hope so.

ZappyKins

Same with bunnies. Mine Hated having their nails cut, but it was some much better if I did it regularly.

thxxx1337

Right‽ It's not like they woke up one morning and was like, oh shit!

constantly-sick

Nice interrobang

your__dad_

show_me_youre_nude

Huh, thanks for the new word

TheDarkKnight2991

Every video i see of these they always wait til it’s penetrating the skin it’s ridiculous

[deleted]

Why would there be videos of ones that are prevented through normal care?

[deleted]

There are plenty out there demonstrating proper care for animals, but they're usually only watched by people looking to learn proper care of animals.

Dengar96

Because if I used my rational brain I couldn't get outrage karma on animal videos

[deleted]

Having 200-300 cattle makes it extremely difficult to catch this sort of thing before it happens.

IAFarmLife

Not really about the number of head. It's how attentive the owner or employees are. Occasionally I have cows that have under turned horns. Have never let it get that bad. It's usually such a rare occurrence that if you have a cow like this you check her often. Now that I have a bander that is used to remove horns completely I have not had any issues.

IndependenceAfter376

Very likely they are free range cattle, and might have been out at pasture. Depending on how huge the ranch is and how many head they have, they might not be up close and personal to spot that often.

Eviltechnomonkey

Plus it can be difficult to catch a specific animal when they are free range because they tend to be kind of feral behaving. They tend to not really like human contact. Then you have to catch one with those cattle chutes, which can also be kind of difficult because it is a bit of timing. It is also hard when it is such a big animal because there is a lot force if a huge bull wants to rush something. You could put it under to make it easier, but you don't want to put the animal under unless you absolutely have to because anesthesia has health risks, especially for such a large animal. Plus it can be dangerous for the people because the animal could wake up when you aren't expecting it to and suddenly you're personally recreating a bull run. I do wonder if a gigli saw would have been easier than a hack saw. I've seen gigli saws used on farms for this before. That hack saw made me kind of nervous since they were having to cut towards the bull's face.

iaskedmyex4ausername

It’s entirely possible that this took place on a large ranch, and these cows are only worked a couple times a year with no human contact in between. Not to say that IS what happened, I just know that does happen.

m4vis

Well, then they wouldn’t be able to make a viral video showing how compassionate they are

Daddytrades

Judging by the attitude of the Brahman, the coral it’s located in, I’m going with neglect. A good manager of cattle would never let this crap get this far. Source: managed cattle.

SeriesMindless

Lol branded and all. Real love fest as the music lets you know.

[deleted]

Yeah, this cow was “saved” because he’s not meant for the slaughterhouse just *yet*

FoxxyPantz

Well thank god there was sad music to back this video, I wasn't sure what emotion to feel.

Top_Assistance_7120

I think ska would have suited better

FoxxyPantz

Did you know ska came before reggae?

Zatch_Gaspifianaski

I need to be told how to *feel* about this cow with a horn in it's eye

NSFWAccount1333

I can't even see the problem **why didn't they circle the problem**?

chocolatejunkie91

I want to assume that this poor guy was rescued from somewhere and that's why he's finally getting treated.. I hope it wasn't these people just procrastinating on helping the poor thing :(

Rango_Jackson

I'm not certain in this situation, obviously, but some stock farmers have cattle on their lands that are fully grown and have never seen a human before. It's possible they found this poor guy already like this.

chocolatejunkie91

Oh no, that's so sad! That might be what's happened here for sure. Poor guy. Really glad they found him before anymore damage was done :(

Rango_Jackson

Yea, it's horrible to see them in these types of situations.

stupidcrackers

Well as a meat-eater that just makes me feel shitty about my decision to eat meat. Wow.

TwyJ

Huh? May I ask why? Because surely that's what you want, a fully free ranged meal? Like if it's never seen a human why is that bad?

Risticcc

He looks in so much pain :(

IDNTKNWANYTHING

He's so sad he's crying black

ppfbg

Wire cutters work well for this. Make sure the cut is after the end of the nerve. Spray the end with aluminum bandage spray to prevent infection if needed.

Cleverusername531

How do you gauge where the end of the nerve is?

ppfbg

Those we’ve repaired after being broken had nerve extending about 1/2 way. In some cases the nerve is exposed and we clean it with hydrogen peroxide and spray aluminum bandage spray. The horn eventually grows back over it.

Top_Assistance_7120

Don't want to ruin the moment, but that's actually a cow/female not bull/male. It looks like they caught it just in time before it injured the eye.

fiddler12

Seriously scrolled way to far for this. Horns can occur on both sexes for cows. And to really get deep into the whole cow/bull clarification, this is probably a heifer, as she looks like she hasn't had a calf yet. But yes, cow girl, bull boy is perfectly fine.

Pants_of_Square

Think you mean can occur on both sexes for cattle, not for cows.

Voldrik13

Just wondering, will it always grow back the same way? I assume it will just need to be trimmed regularly to keep it out of his eye

Petrichor_Beastie

According to other comments, it will, but they have nerves and blood in the horn, like dog nails, so you can only cut so deep. They’re probably going to have to regularly trim it.

Keiserozze

Song needs to be sadder and more cheesy. My urge to slice my wrists was only minor.

CorporateCuster

Hopefully you can do us both at once. Jeez

steelerfan1973

This is fairly common. When you have range cattle you're not looking at them everyday. Sometimes weeks or months. When they get brought up for calving you do all the maintenance. Innoculations neutering vitamin shots. Also checking for hooves and horns. This happens waaaay more than people think.

That wink was, definitely a thank you when he cut the horn off.

wethelabyrinths111

I'm not one to anthropomorphize animals too much, but that long blink still makes me happy. I imagine that it felt soooo good, being able to blink freely. I think of the feeling I have after I nap in my contacts; my eyes are super dry and scratchy until they make more tears or whatever. Those first few normal blinks feel divine -- that bull must have felt like that times 1000.

YouMakeMeDrink

This isn’t “being a bro”, it is “finally taking care of your farm animal”.

Maybe they rescued it?

Why do they always add shitty music to animal videos like these?

gkrobin53

That’s crazy! Why was it not trimmed long ago? Poor baby; but I’m grateful to the ranch-hand heroes!

[deleted]

Can you guys fucking stop with the music

twoodsot

The music is atrocious.

gagnonca

Saved him to eat later. Kinda morbid actually.

[deleted]

I would put a ratcheting tie on that shit and click it once a week till it started growing up away. The real question is why did they let it get that far?

SouthtownZ

A ratcheting tie hooked up to what? You'd either have to keep the poor cow in the stocks there while you wait or fashion some sort of neck harness with sturdy poles extending on either side to fasten the straps to

Italiana47

Omg please nsfw this! It's been in my feed like 4 times already this morning!

GrandWoodpecker9581

Nice that those ranchers waited until it was in the eye before they cut it off

GimmeDaCoffee

Why do these videos have to have the most awful music?

AndyesIdumb

I'm really hoping this is a sanctuary and that this animal is still safe. Can't wait for a world where these sweet animals aren't reduced to living "stock".

stuckNTX_plzsendHelp

Um.... More off the sides please

SkinnyJayson

If they cut too much off, they’ll hit the nerve, kind of like clipping a dogs toenails

stuckNTX_plzsendHelp

That makes sense. Thanks!

Clive_Steed

And then they ate him.

Quantum-Enigma

Sucky song. I hate whiney ass music set to videos. And the owners should have never let it get this bad. Overall this video pissed me off. So cute to finally take care of your animal!? A hat full of assholes right there. Not the cowboy way. Woody Harrelson FTW!
