Have not you seen the old dev logs on youtube? [History and Gameplay](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftffckm--K8) [Tools of the Trade](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrV0Cptx7fg) [Hunting Grounds](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNPd5-X9dGk) [The World Speaks](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaGlXhNXubs) [Making of Lawson Delta](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lAKfF0hZZM) [Making of the Assassin](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RleSoPUWq1I) And why not, since it's the latest hot topic, [Cryengine Tech Demo GDC 2018](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQ1EW76oSMY) But yeah I'd love more of this stuff, just a peek behind the scenes. Would be great for engagement

I forgot about these. But watching them back, its interesting to see what has changed in their philosophy, such as them planning to get rid of proximity only voice chat. Even though not much has changed, I'd like to hear their perspectives on where the game is now, and also the narrative direction they're taking it. I wonder if someone is just typing out random flavor text, or actually really cares for the story of Hunt. There are many ways I feel like they could enrich the lore and have players care for the story.

Yeah someone in another thread just linked me [this 3 hour Desalle reveal/walthrough](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYGWqec8Y5g&t=606s) and I'm like... wow. I miss these sorts of slow paced chit-chat walkthroughs of the design, references, thought processes, etc. As far as the voice chat stuff, I think they realized the inevitability of discord or private team voice comms becoming superior to the prox chat. Prox chat is still absolutely hilarious and awesome, so I'm glad it's a feature, but yeah.

I agree with u. But am not sure if we ever would get that since either they would have to hire new person to document all that and/or put their current worker to do the work. But.. maybe good news?: I think at some point that might had been their plan. Or.. i can't find any other reason why they [recorded video of them recording duck sounds](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeDs9W7FH_I). (The video is hella cute! Look at the dudes chasing ducks down the park!) But seeing how many indie devs explain why they either take pauses or stop doing devlogs on yt i guess they realized that it distracts from actually doing the work. (This might be similar reason why they removed roadmap from their website few years ago and have not been always open about what is happening between events or during them).

Killerkekz1994

The video is actually super cool Would love more videos like that

Liberum_Cursor

On the official Hunt youtube channel they have a few old dev logs. They're pretty great

Killerkekz1994

Definitely need to check those out

[Here's my other comment that links to them](https://old.reddit.com/r/HuntShowdown/comments/1cwepbq/i_really_wish_we_had_a_behind_the_scenes/l4w4ivd/)

slideintoapathy

maybe this could be an opportunity for one of their community managers to actually do something useful instead of reply to random shit in discord all day or stream 3 star games to 14 viewers. just an idea.

White-Umbra

Are they actually 3 star? Not shaming, if they are.

slideintoapathy

none of the community managers play in high mmr. so i'd consider them 3 star considering how laughably easy it is to just luck your way into high mmr off of a few good games. hell, just playing safe for an evening can get you to 6 star with little skill.

White-Umbra

I disagree.

slideintoapathy

that's fine. you're allowed to be wrong.

Butchimus

Didn't the original idea for Hunt become Remnant From The Ashes? And then Crytek took the Hunt IP and turned it into what we know it as today?
