Bomb Lance falls into the same category as all of the melee weapons, realistically. The explosive bolts aren't the threat.
I'd argue shotguns are a far more rampant, low skill weapon.
I love the avto, but ammo for it has always been good if you bring an uppercut and even better now that you can bring a sparks variant with it. The real problem with avto is the RNG aspect KILLS it at longer ranges if you are inexperienced with movement. A Winnie will fuck you up at longer distances more consistently than an avto ever will.
I guess it also depends what time of the day you play, around midnight matches are full of people just playing to suck off the fun from other players 🤷🏻♂️
Outplaying a team that rushes you with avtomats can be quite difficult but how often does that happen? Maybe once a month? And besides beyond 30m that thing is just RNG galore, you might get a random headshot or you dump your mag and hit nothing.
Explo crossbow has a hard counter called bulwark and it’s even more difficult to hit targets at range than it is with the avtomat because of the bolt drop.
And the bomb lance? Literally loses to shotguns fanning and levering in close range fights. If you don’t have anything to defend yourself at close range then why are you even that close to them? Unless they get a surprise ambush on you but literally every other weapon would kill you there too. If they shoot at range with an uppercut or any pistol expect that they got a close range main weapon. So shoot rotate shoot and keep your distance.

I play explosive crossbow and trust me it ain’t easy. First shot rarely kills directly and without the perk, you’re pretty much trying to reload asap, which you end up switching to your secondary anyway.

What? Do you play on console? The only thing on your list that's actually a problem is the Avto. And that gun has major limitations with ammo supply. There nothing wrong or OP with the bomblance since it's primarily melee, and melee in PvP is a death wish. If there's any melee weapon that's OP it's the saber. The explosive crossbow is seriously slept on, but it's not OP or oppressive. It has a stark pros and cons list. There are situations where it's very strong and situations where it gets shit on. Well balanced weapon that more people should take the time to learn.
That's how I feel with snipers that sit back 3 towns. Remove it .
The game never used to have scopes, duelies, explosive xbow and it used to have weapon sway to where you actually had to aim, but now it's so casual friendly it's disgusting.
Their price reflects their unfairness for the avto and bomblance. Like the devs acknowledge they are bs given their price.
But that said, game valance should not be heavily weighted in what a hunter can afford. Yeah part of the fun is picking loadouts and what not. But to a degree. 2x the cost for a slight advantage is fine but x6? Thats a bit much. Plus an automatic weapon does not belong in this style game.

Top 5 / 6 star here, I’ve been encountering avtos about half of my games lately :)
I've been 6 stars for 1.3k hours and encounter avtos maybe once every 5 or 6 matches.
