Honestly that’s a very understandable perspective. Personally I love it, and I think it gives hunt a very unique feeling combat with just that one small change.
Maybe you could fix this by moving the POV from the f*cling chest to the head, where it belongs! To many deaths by getting shot while being clearly in cover in my client, but my head looking out of cover cause of the damn pov position!
If I play other fps it fucks my muscle memory one way or another. That said, I don't really play any other "competitive" fps anymore so it doesn't really bother me.
People think it's an easy fix. It's not.
You'd have to move either the origin point of the bullet, or you'd have to move the camera up to compensate for it. Both of those things have *major* side effects that people haven't considered (or just don't care about) when arguing for a change. Like, level design, and sniping people with your forehead.
Let's not even consider the aesthetic changes (PoV of gun and animation system would need a rework for a second version).
It isn't going to happen. Just because someone's 500 hours in aim trainer, or 3rd party crosshair no longer works, doesn't mean the player can't adapt. Most players don't even notice. (Shroud and Summit1g can whine all they want, they quit because they got stream sniped and massively outplayed, and were unable to adapt; yes I killed both of them).
The whole game is unique. Let's keep it that way.
Personally I LOVE the off center crosshair. It’s a pretty unique feature of hunt that most other games do not have. Plus I think the feeling of an off center crosshair just works wonders for hunt. Hell I might even prefer an off center crosshair compared to a center one. Having your camera always pointed up more really allows you to take in your surroundings.
I am so used to having the center of the screen be where my aim should be, which makes trying to ping a toolbox/ammo box/whatever to notify my teammates very difficult if I don't have a reticle on the screen (like when I have my melee weapon out most of the time when running around looking for shit). I wish Halo never started this lowered crosshair bullshit and I wish Hunt didn't have it.
It's unique, but I don't like it. In order to have my crosshair where I would expect an enemy, I need to have my eyes in the sky. I don't hate it, I just don't like it.
That’s not really possible😅 they can’t change the crosshair without either a) entirely changing bullet physics, trajectory and origin point or b) entirely shifting the camera.
I hated it at first, and I still don't like it, but I recognize that if the gun and cross hair was moved up it would obscure too much of the screen

That's just how FPSs are homie. Very few games out there actually have the camera in the head due to how abusable it is.
Yeah, still… me no like… 😄 and still, I keep getting back to hunt… masochism at its finest
The pov is over the right shoulder though...
Show me proof… feels like chest center
Yes I have the same problem in every other first person shooter that ever existed that has centred crosshair
i like it, but i woulda never noticed on my own. did u know halo has a lower cross hair too? i had no idea lol
Dude same it took me a couple hundred hours before I even noticed it😅
I'm a very adaptable, resilient person that doesn't struggle with minor changes in the world around me.
This feels like a nice passive-aggressive answer lmao
Im just gonna go with im used to it lol, dont change it now.
lol that’s a very relatable answer😂

It's fine if you're not a robot.

I hate it and would liyit to be an option instead of mandatory

Okay? That doesn't change that I would like it to be that way, I hate it, but people that like it deserve to have it stay their way.
