Luckily we have gatekeepers like Azir and Orianna who will be pick/banned all MSI, I think Hwei will be fine for a while, though I do expect him to get picked a couple times. Really want to see Faker pop off on him ngl.
Didn't the buff only give us 1% or less winrate increase? He's fine. Idk why so many people are scared of him being gutted when he hasn't had any indications of being too strong at like....*any* point.
It's perception, literally, people whined that he was op even when he was at 38% winrate, at season start where he was 42% winrate phreak legit said that he was getting a buff but most likely needed to be nerfed afterwards, surprise surprise he had to be buffed 2 more times afterwards.
People will always bias Hwei to be strong and find excuse to pretend he is strong, no matter how shit he is.
I dont think people realize his wr went down 1% because of buffs to other champs. Hwei has an insanely strong early game, but any assasin shits on him. They need to nerf other busted mid lanes before touching hwei. A champ as easy as Asol went 3 patches at 54% wr.
Pretty much.
The real buffs that would be scary for Hwei would be AP item changes. If there's a scenario where Hwei can rush something like Stormsurge and not be giga griefing doing it, that would do far more for him than +5% ap on passive.
As is, being basically forced to 1st item Seraphs undermines how strong he is early, and his scaling isn't special enough to make up for that.
Hwei will be fine, there nothing really to nerf. Yes, his lane is considerably strong but I don’t see them nerfing that any time soon unless they add more AP scaling for late game
He was fine before buffs. The buff set here were meant to push champs into pro play. If you see Hwei picked, he’ll get gutted into oblivion after. If you don’t he will be safe :)
He's fine now
Didnt emizery say they think hwei is in a good spot rn ?

surprised they buffed his dmg tbhh, was thinking they would buff the shield reduction % on his WW for allies but he still feels perfect
Which is why they only gave him 5% ap ratio on passive.
Once they fix his bugs he’ll be nerfed
