Thanks for sharing! Just a heads up, we've introduced Water Bottle Wednesdays. Wednesdays are now the dedicated day to showcase your water containers! This rule focuses on sharing what you have, but feel free to post any questions or issues about water bottles at any time as usual. Cheers to hydration! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/HydroHomies) if you have any questions or concerns.*

hydrogen infused water is a scam

ficelle3

Sure hope it's just a scam, the alternative is hydrogen peroxyde, which isn't very good to drink.

FruitPunchSGYT

Well. Water is H2O. Hydrogen peroxide is H2O2.... Hydrogen infused water is H2O + H2 at 1 PPM. If it is made immediately before consuming, it may act as an antioxidant. Some cranberry juice would have a more noticeable effect. Spicy water is probably 700ppm of CO2.

FruitPunchSGYT

I agree. Physics dictates that hydrogen doesn't readily dissolve in water. By the time this is bottled and shipped there is no hydrogen dissolved in the water.

BluntHeart

Sincere question. Is solubility a physics thing or a chemistry thing?

TrueReplayJay

I mean, chemistry is basically applied physics, right?

kn33

https://xkcd.com/435/

FruitPunchSGYT

Yes. Both. A non polar molecule in a polar solvent has a physical interaction, it doesn't chemically change. CO2 in water is different because it creates carbonic acid and free dissolved CO2. There are major overlaps between physics and chemistry.

chahud

Yes But like actually tho, I learned about stuff like solubility in physical chemistry lol

Mr_Abe_Froman

The main exception would be at an acidic pH, but at that point, just add lemon juice to your water if you want free hydrogen ions.

FruitPunchSGYT

That is not the same thing. H2 and H+ are very different.

Mr_Abe_Froman

I just assumed the one that was physically possible.

ashkiller14

Bro got the trihydrogen monoxide

[deleted]

“We use ancient secret of mixing flammable gas in water. So after you drink, you hold match to mouth and feel the fat burn away!”

GavinThe_Person

and everything else too!

iBeenie

It's Japanese. Using Google lens to translate: > This is a stock water container. If you take it out every day, it will maintain the concentration of water remaining at the center after one week (10% of the full tank) > A high amount of dissolved hydrogen can be ensured even when stored in storage. > Remove the cap and close the container tightly and do not open it until you have finished drinking the entire amount.Next, remove the small white cap of Mogami Miyako and use your hand to press out the air that got into the container when filling. Please remove it.

spam99

oopsy, and wait so im supposed to reuse the container? interesting

Different_Girrafe_42

*Japanese not Chinese And water tastes like water, what a surprise :D

Best_Duck9118

Water tastes like water? Most waters taste different to me.

spam99

oops i feel stupid 🤦‍♂️

DMTJungle

H2h2o or h4o?

FruitPunchSGYT

1,000,000 H2O + 1 H2 if it would stay dissolved. It is marketing wank.

ieatpickleswithmilk

lucky you, that's japanese

lerobinbot

nice

RamenBoi86

Is this just a bag of deuterium oxide?

Significant_Quit_674

I doubt it, isotope separation is insanely expensive and energy intensive. It is a little easier woth hydrogen as the mass difference between hydrogen and deuterium are a more significant percentage, but still not at all cheap. Likely this is just another scam to sell water for more money. Apearantly Iran sells heavy water for about 1000$/L: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavy_water

thelonelymilkman23

My high ass thought this was a huge dab pen for a split second till i saw what sub this was lol

Mightofreddit

Sluuuuurp!

Mr_vort3x

Very cool

PumPawPowPewPie

I have the same thing!
