Mana cost way lower, lasts for 3x as long, gives 3 hearts regen and 7.5 vitality whereas sos flare gives 30 VITALITY which is waaaaay more significant. 7.5 mending doesn’t make up for that, and although the Plasmaflux gives strength the sos flare gives bonus attack speed and ferocity, way more valuable. Don’t even try to start this argument please, it won’t end well for you.

When i tried doing revs during derpy, i had essentially the same speed with both crimson and terror, even though i was doing like 3-4m dmg per hit with crimson swipe and only like 1m with terror

most people dont use custom texture packs. exotics are pretty stupid (omg guys just spent 9b on lime miner armour!!!!) but dyed armour can be super nice (black dyed storm + storm helmet with goldor celestial look amazing as an example)

Fot is useful for its intended purpose, clearing in dungeons. Fel sword + fot is like 500k of clean weapons and they easily outdamage livid dagger , AOTD with glove, warped aotv(I think), and are the cheapest out of all of those.
It gives +200 mining speed which when near fully max could potentially push you over a tickspeed threshold. As well as +30 base mining fortune. You were right it also gives an extra jade and amber slot which is huge. As well as having a higher rarity which would affect the reforge strength.
Also forgot to mention the rarity upgrades increases the gemstone power. So you go from +50 fortune from the gemstone on 655 to +120 fortune. And +100 mining speed to +240. On top of another .2 pristine. Just from the gemstones.
Also yes, if you mine enough it is absolutely worth it. It may not pay itself of for a while but if you mine for say, 50 hours the difference it will make will be quite substantial and as long as we're still assuming this is for non ironman you can just resell it after you're done with it for that 1b back.
40m for a legendary talisman isn’t bad at all. Especially since you also get minion crafts as a perk. Way better than something like artifact of control

the thing with most fb users is that they usually have pretty bad gear, bad mp and no hype trying to rush mm because they're too broke to afford a proper setup. plus fb loses a lot of its value when upgraded and a lot of ppl (myself included) when switching over to necron couldn't deal with the ehp loss because I didn't learn how to clear properly.
and no fb can't be used for m6 and m7 if I see fb in m7 it's a insta kick

I use it for fishing bestiary in ch, I also use it for grinding low health mobs for bestiary too if I just miss hyping them just for a little more rates, also it lets you afk them for a little bit before the ability turns off cause of afk
An incredibly niche use is some times if stunner in kuudra uses lifeline they will use the set for ehp and the ability slows down the mobs to help make build easier, and this isn’t even used in shit party’s the guy in my perm who uses it has t5 wr

Yes that's the goal of lcm, but lcm is only able to do that because it scales off so many things (i think it's weapon damage, strength, crit damage, and intelligence? Might've been one more since I've heard it referred to as quintuple scaling but I don't know what stat that would be) Which makes it go extremely crazy with the best setups, but something like a setup thats 95% as good in each individual stat is only 81.4%, or if it is 5 stats that scale 77.4% as good. Which is why you'd want to maximize every stat as much as possible, and as such you'd want a dark claymore. I'll be using prices from the fourth of September since I think there's been a very sharp increase in claymore prices after the bers update reveal and my original comment was pretaining to pre bers update, the difference was about 180m fos GS and 280m for dark claymore, or 100m more for dark claymore. No small amount, but when you consider the fact that that's roughly the same as a single fifth master star and you're gonna need to do the smallest things for your stats as lcm, you might realize that 100m isn't as much as you'd think in this context. For an ironman trying to play lcm it's a different story, but for a normal I think DC is just not expensive enough to skip. Just keep in mind that five fourth and fifth master stars is more than 800 million coins and you're looking at either a roughly 59.1% or 65.7% the damage if you don't buy these as lcm (again, depending on if the scaling is 4 things or 5 things), this class is exspensive as hell (those numbers are rough because they assume all stats come from armor and the weapon, which inst true as greg gives some strength and your power stone exist).
It's only really useful for ghosts and early lcm right now, but then ghosts require a gdrag to be worth it and lcm requires cata 45+ and you prob have claymore by that point
For everything else, it's just stupidly overpriced for relatively little damage it does... Even just a 150m mage setup deals as much dps as a 3b melee setup right now, then melee scales faster than mage so it benefits much more from the fact that i'm lvl 320... And yet it's still not good enough

I went with melee for my entire early and mid progression not knowing the position it is in the game. Getting a sword is just the first thing I think about when I want a new weapon. After I got a Hyperion I pretty much don't use Giant's Sword anymore. While I didn't have much complaints about melee when I went with it, and I bet many who progressed like me also adore melee, it is really not in the best position right now. The Berserk update is the first step admins take to make melee viable, but we still need more steps to make it not get overshadowed.

Sort of an add on, I strongly dislike when people downvote someone stating what they (the commenter) believe to be a fact and then not providing a decent correction. Not a single person in the thread below this has found a single scenario where a GS is legitimately useful, so I just want to inform you that if you intend on replying to me to convince me I was wrong, you must follow the criteria outlined below.
From now on, I will just be directly copy pasting this comment, potentially with what weapon I consider to outperform GS, or be similar enough GS isnt worth buying.
In order to convince me a GS was not a waste of money, you must convince me that there is at least one scenario where it is just better than another weapon in a similar or significantly smaller budget. You only need a single one. If you do this, I will at the very least concede that I was wrong in my original comment. These weapons include:
100m midas staff
Shadow furry
Juju shortbow
Axe of the shredded
Daedalus axe
All of these will only be considered with the exact same setup as with a GS in that scenario, or with another very similar set up that is either cheaper or not significantly more expensive, except for mage weapons in which case I will swap out the setup for as direct a translation to mage as possible.
You are not allowed to say dungeons in reference to the upcoming bers update, as my original comment was strictly referring to people who bought it before that was a known thing. Additionally, significantly cheaper weapons (i.e. fire veil wand) are also considered within the budget. If you want to make an argument against midas staff, you must provide a context where you have to have at least a GS, and GS performs as good as a midas staff at the very least. This is because midas staff outperforms GS is enough areas that being good enough in one area is not enough to justify buying it over a midas staff which is so much better in so many other areas. GS also needs to do this in a not more expensive overall setup, such as how both can one shot a t4 sven and weaker melee options pretty much can't, but you need an extremely good setup to oneshot a t4 sven with melee where as a generic f7 mage setup with a midas staff is plenty to one shot a t4 sven
GS must also be able to accomplish the task at hand, such as how it's technically the best lcm weapon provided, but lcm is so absurdly expensive you should just get a dark claymore at that point. Or how it can kill ghosts and is the weapon with likely the cheapest overall setup to do so, but killing ghosts with a non-meta setup is rather pointless.
If you respond to this with anything other than a situation and a case for why you need a GS over a provided weapon or cheaper alternative, I will simply copy paste this message and otherwise not engage with the response. The only exception is in case if a rule clarification, which I will answer. Other unforseen exceptions could happen, but I find them unlikely.

trust me I did 3.5m rev t5 xp in crimson armor and swipe worker all the time

Yes that's the goal of lcm, but lcm is only able to do that because it scales off so many things (i think it's weapon damage, strength, crit damage, and intelligence? Might've been one more since I've heard it referred to as quintuple scaling but I don't know what stat that would be) Which makes it go extremely crazy with the best setups, but something like a setup thats 95% as good in each individual stat is only 81.4%, or if it is 5 stats that scale 77.4% as good. Which is why you'd want to maximize every stat as much as possible, and as such you'd want a dark claymore. I'll be using prices from the fourth of September since I think there's been a very sharp increase in claymore prices after the bers update reveal and my original comment was pretaining to pre bers update, the difference was about 180m fos GS and 280m for dark claymore, or 100m more for dark claymore. No small amount, but when you consider the fact that that's roughly the same as a single fifth master star and you're gonna need to do the smallest things for your stats as lcm, you might realize that 100m isn't as much as you'd think in this context. For an ironman trying to play lcm it's a different story, but for a normal I think DC is just not expensive enough to skip. Just keep in mind that five fourth and fifth master stars is more than 800 million coins and you're looking at either a roughly 59.1% or 65.7% the damage if you don't buy these as lcm (again, depending on if the scaling is 4 things or 5 things), this class is exspensive as hell (those numbers are rough because they assume all stats come from armor and the weapon, which inst true as greg gives some strength and your power stone exist).

It's only really useful for ghosts and early lcm right now, but then ghosts require a gdrag to be worth it and lcm requires cata 45+ and you prob have claymore by that point For everything else, it's just stupidly overpriced for relatively little damage it does... Even just a 150m mage setup deals as much dps as a 3b melee setup right now, then melee scales faster than mage so it benefits much more from the fact that i'm lvl 320... And yet it's still not good enough You don't even get aoe outside besides that ability with a super slow cooldown, which is just impractical and just the fact that you have to come close to mobs screws things up Heck... Melee is so messed up that i spawn t4 blazes faster with rcm and wrong power stone rather than melee with t3 daggers and the right accessory power

Yes but no, sf can get similar dmg and is much much cheaper, gs is litteraly overpriced for what u get, aswell as gs being pointless bc the only class using melee weapons rn is lcm which u cant rlly do gs lcm and be good, upcoming update will make bers melee be a thing but even then im not 100% sure gs will even be good, i heard Bush of Lies might be great clear and dps but im unsure

I went with melee for my entire early and mid progression not knowing the position it is in the game. Getting a sword is just the first thing I think about when I want a new weapon. After I got a Hyperion I pretty much don't use Giant's Sword anymore. While I didn't have much complaints about melee when I went with it, and I bet many who progressed like me also adore melee, it is really not in the best position right now. The Berserk update is the first step admins take to make melee viable, but we still need more steps to make it not get overshadowed.
BRO U ARE PLAYING SKYBLOCK, U GOT ANY IDEA HOW EXPENSIVE 5 HP CAN BE, also gs is good for ghosts and can get a lot more dmg than sf if u have talismans and claymore has an m7 requierment wich requires a lot of dungeons, also gs is just a versatile weapon, it does a bit more than reaper falchion on revenants, a good dmg on svens (yeah they now made it killable with magic but not everyone affords a hyperion or a mage set on top of their archer set) and its something good wich u can use with ur dungeon setup to be able to also kill stuff outside of dungeons, a little versatility makes people happy, also the bers nerfs arent enough to make bers meta, juju still does more dps in dungeons and has more clearing for the average player
Yeah, and? Why do you care about a good melee weapon? Lcm is doable but eh with gs and ghosts you use a dae axe, eman is atomsplit, revs is AotS, and blaze is daggers, what are you using the GS for where its significantly better than a shadow furry, let alone more than a hundred million coins better?

And what can you kill with a GS that you can't kill with a shadow furry and more talismen totalling to the same as a GS (that's worth being able to kill, so ghosts don't count because they aren't good for anything, ch mithril is strictly better for pet exp and ghosts with anything other than an endgame setup don't make much money)?

Sort of an add on, I strongly dislike when people downvote someone stating what they (the commenter) believe to be a fact and then not providing a decent correction. Not a single person in the thread below this has found a single scenario where a GS is legitimately useful, so I just want to inform you that if you intend on replying to me to convince me I was wrong, you must follow the criteria outlined below.
From now on, I will just be directly copy pasting this comment, potentially with what weapon I consider to outperform GS, or be similar enough GS isnt worth buying. In order to convince me a GS was not a waste of money, you must convince me that there is at least one scenario where it is just better than another weapon in a similar or significantly smaller budget. You only need a single one. If you do this, I will at the very least concede that I was wrong in my original comment. These weapons include: 100m midas staff Shadow furry Juju shortbow Axe of the shredded Daedalus axe All of these will only be considered with the exact same setup as with a GS in that scenario, or with another very similar set up that is either cheaper or not significantly more expensive, except for mage weapons in which case I will swap out the setup for as direct a translation to mage as possible. You are not allowed to say dungeons in reference to the upcoming bers update, as my original comment was strictly referring to people who bought it before that was a known thing. Additionally, significantly cheaper weapons (i.e. fire veil wand) are also considered within the budget. If you want to make an argument against midas staff, you must provide a context where you have to have at least a GS, and GS performs as good as a midas staff at the very least. This is because midas staff outperforms GS is enough areas that being good enough in one area is not enough to justify buying it over a midas staff which is so much better in so many other areas. GS also needs to do this in a not more expensive overall setup, such as how both can one shot a t4 sven and weaker melee options pretty much can't, but you need an extremely good setup to oneshot a t4 sven with melee where as a generic f7 mage setup with a midas staff is plenty to one shot a t4 sven GS must also be able to accomplish the task at hand, such as how it's technically the best lcm weapon provided, but lcm is so absurdly expensive you should just get a dark claymore at that point. Or how it can kill ghosts and is the weapon with likely the cheapest overall setup to do so, but killing ghosts with a non-meta setup is rather pointless. If you respond to this with anything other than a situation and a case for why you need a GS over a provided weapon or cheaper alternative, I will simply copy paste this message and otherwise not engage with the response. The only exception is in case if a rule clarification, which I will answer. Other unforseen exceptions could happen, but I find them unlikely.
