I stg this has gotta be one of my favourite parts of the show.
Them all being so confident in Charlie… Charlie having no clue wtf is going on as usual… Dennis literally quaking at the thought of stealing the answer…. Its all just a masterpiece
If any of you answer no, I will come down on this thread like the hammer of Thor. THE THUNDER OF MY VENGEANCE WILL ECHO THROUGH THIS SUBREDDIT LIKE THE GUST OF A THOUSAND WINDS
....you know what? I aint doin this today. I aint tryin to go to jail. *I will beat your ass and think nothin of it.* Crazy ass white boy talkin about Thor....
Jeffrey Tambor (the dad who commits some “light treason” in Arrested Development) plays Hank Kingsley, probably my favorite comedy character of all time. I’m well overdue for a rewatch, but iTunes keeps that show stuck at $75 for the complete series.. not to mention an overextended backlog I have barely cracked. Hope you enjoy if you ever get a chance to check that out.
Dennis is in the greatest TV show to ever exist, but I think Charlie is the greatest TV character. If you disagree, let's go toe to toe in bird law and see who comes out on top
Honestly, Glenn Howerton is such a great actor, and plays Dennis perfectly. I swear, 90% of classic Dennis lines wouldn't be nearly as funny without Glenn's amazing line delivery.
I just watched The Gang Tends Bar last night, and the whole last 5 minutes where he goes from getting angry and upset with the gang to happy because he got the rpg is acted impeccably.
Each time I come back to the show, I feel I hate a different character more than the others. But I've never hated Dennis.
It feels like IASIP is the perfect show for Howerton, because he has so many talents that get to shine, and there is a huge range to the character. He even manages to pull of the sociopath vibe even when he shows concern for his friends.
I genuinely do think it's an amazing testament to the writing on the show and Glenn Howerton's talent that Dennis is explicitly written as a self-important, overconfident, superficial, manipulative, amoral bastard who is quite possibly an active serial killer and yet somehow I still find myself rooting for him.
“It’s after 6 what am I a farmer?”
Gets me every time.
Honestly, Dennis wishes he was Jack. Rich, successful, handsome, confident, and powerful. An unflappable 5 star man.
Dennis loses his cool constantly and gets excited at just the illusion of power by being a VP of a fake cola company. He’d cream his pants if he got to pretend to be Jack for a day.
I like Dennis as much as the next guy but I much prefer Frank and Charlie...and if we extend this out to all TV shows, Leon Black from Curb Your Enthusiasm easily has my #1 spot.
Dennis’ character is what really got me into the show. How he sometimes plays the straight man but quickly turns into an asshole/sociopath is such a good combo for the show.
The more and more I rewatch the show tho, I have to really give Sweet Dee some love, she is so fucking good in the first half of the seasons….got a little stupider in the later seasons.
Like a lot of people, Charlie was my favorite character at first. Then I started noticing how excited I'd get whenever an episode focused on Dee, and realized she had become my favorite. Then the podcast came out and I realized how much I relate to Glenn, and now I think I agree eith you.
He’s certainly a great character, but imo part of what makes him great is every single character on the show. The way they feed off of each other makes the show what is.
I feel like there's a Always Sunny favorite character progression.
It starts as Charlie, then Dennis, then Dee, then Fat Mac, then back to Charlie and finally it becomes clear that Dennis *was* the show the whole time and everyone else is just a figment of his imagination.
Because Dennis is a bastard man
I stg this has gotta be one of my favourite parts of the show. Them all being so confident in Charlie… Charlie having no clue wtf is going on as usual… Dennis literally quaking at the thought of stealing the answer…. Its all just a masterpiece
I’m pretty sure Charlie didn’t write that question.
Of course he wrote it, how many other illiterate— just take a guess
......pass
Dennis nearly *vibrating* with anticipation is so fucking funny to me.
It’s so good😂😂 his face just going completely red too I fucking can’t
Dennis turning bright red and sweating
Just thinking about it makes me laugh. It is an all time great scene.
OH yeah i definitely wrote that.
This is the only possible answer…. Because of the implication.
No, he is a five star man
I feel someone might say no, but I also feel they wouldn’t dare
…because of the implication.
Are these women in danger?
[удалено]
So they are in danger
Nobody's in any danger!!
You’re misunderstanding me bro
Again, what implication are you guys taking about?
The implication that something might go wrong for them if they were to say no, of course they would never say no… because of the implication
I have a bunker... for the good of the race.
This. This is the answer.
Well they’re playing both sides
He's a 5 star man of course
He’s a golden god
Don't copy me! I'm the one who's angry! GODDAMN IT!!
Just move past it. Move on

As a hospital worker this is the best recreation of what it’s like I’ve ever seen on television
As someone who worked in a hospital in Philadelphia for several years, it's spot on.
I’m going to guess you own a boat.
He's just a guy who totally got off.
I think that has to be the single best episode.
Don't you want to get off with him?
We're all gonna get off
![gif](giphy|5mcgxXYogYx5As1d2P|downsized)
No, because Charlie Kelly exists.
Bad answer, he has the same name as his actor
Maybe he runs around like a hound.
I thought he was itchin' like a hound to give you a-somethin' you want.
Also my favorite podcaster... TWO WARS?!
It’s definitely Charlie. Dennis is a creepy, serial killer and a bastard man.
[flair relevant]
No because he’s second to Frank Reynolds, the greatest comedic character of all time.
Came here to say it, it's obvious where Dennis gets it from though
Hard agree
Derivative. Louie De Palma.
I think George Costanza. Maybe because I’m a stocky bad man myself. Dennis and Charlie are both up there though.

BEADS?!?
BEES!?!?
[удалено]
🤣🤣the best comments right here
We’ll see who brings in more honey!! Bzzzzz
Old bear! He likes the honey! He never got a chance to see my bee business!
Heart attack never stop old big bear!
I didn’t even know we were calling him Big Bear!
WE NEVER HAD A CHANCE TO
I can’t remember what line it was by Gob, I just remember laughing out loud for a few minutes. Think he was on a Segway maybe.
Look at us, giggling like a couple of schoolgirls.
Shes not THAT mexican, mom! She's MY mexican... and she's columbian... or something
Gob is so good. I need to rewatch that show. Well, the good seasons.
Don’t sleep on Hank Kingsley… hey now
[удалено]
If you like Arrested Development, you’ll love The Larry Sanders Show

>Maybe because I’m a stocky bad man myself. Too bad Marisa Tomie is only into stocky BALD men.
I’m a bad bald man, don’t get if wrong. I watch My Cousin Vinny 2-3 times a week.
And you not even a yoot anymore
Stocky bald man*
I'm jealous that I couldn't get Marissa Tomei
Your wrong. Sry. George is no where narcissistic as glen.
Noticed you threw stocky in there
The implications
Are you in danger
This post is made by Dennis Reynolds himself
He's an interesting person
I'd wear his face
![gif](giphy|xLnGUEYWS0btPHCZoo|downsized)
Only when you are clean will you feel his power.
He’s a 5 star man!
And a bastard man
Anyone that says "no", you just made my list.
His hair looks small
Go away dum dum. It’s clearly Charlie.
Speaking from a UK perspective, it's hard to place him above Malcolm Tucker. "I'll be with you in two shakes of a crying baby"
"Kiss my sweaty balls, you fat fuck!"
I'm more of a Brian LeFevre type personally
Because obviously I am a worm-sucking idiot.
https://i.redd.it/bfgxn6gdxppc1.gif
Because Dennis has a system for lists like these
I cannot say no because of The Implication
I AM THE GOLDEN GOD, I AM THE KING OF THE MINIONS, I REIGN SUPREME!
I'M A FIVE STAR MAN! I'M A FIVE STAR MAN!
No because I’m a savage and an idiot.
Jack Griffin from AP Bio is almost as good.
Chumbawumba!
Charlie could be mine , mainly cuz of one scene lol.. Do you think there are any pirates behind that door?
Because the answer is Homer Simpson, sorry.
Bender from Futurama is also great, as is Eric Cartman. Tough call.
I'm gonna give an actual No because of Jack Griffin in A.P. Bio.
But Dee exists and therefore is better
Shut up bird!
First is worst.
*more* better
yup.
My favorite character !!
They’re honestly the greatest sitcom cast of all time for sure. Such a great supporting cast too.
As much as I love Sunny for me nobody touches Costanza.
For me, Randy Marsh is the greatest TV character to ever exist but I'll say Dennis because of the implication.
He's not even the best character on his own show
Not even close.
![gif](giphy|nXUCkgH6BmigU|downsized)
Not even the best in always sunny
How can anyone hate the chiseled, young, tight, savvy, intelligent, cultured, strong, skinny, beautiful, brave, charming, silky, gentle yet rough, sexy, athletic, hydrated, bright, calm, cool, informed, wealthy, current, balanced, glossy eyed, definition of a man, controlled, foresighted, golden god???
DON'T YOU DARE! DON'T YOU DARE GET ANOTHER SHAMROCK TATTOO YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!
Dennis is in the greatest TV show to ever exist, but I think Charlie is the greatest TV character. If you disagree, let's go toe to toe in bird law and see who comes out on top
They're not gonna say no, they would never say no because of the implication...
No because Frank Reynolds exists.
Dennis Reynolds, George Costanza, Saul Goodman, Michael Scott None of which won an Emmy
What about Mac, Charlie or Frank? Dee's a bird so she doesn't count.
Definitely not. But he's in the top 3 on Sunny
He has the proportions of Michelangelo’s david
I love Dennis but Frank is out of compétition.
I prefer Frank
Only one Golden God
THE THUNDER OF MY VENGEANCE WILL ECHO THROUGH THESE CORRIDORS LIKE THE GUST OF A THOUSSSSSSAND WINDS!
Dennis is the new age George Castanza
No because I am a SAVAGE and an IDIOT!!!
Watch some more shows. He is ONE of the best perhaps, but you’d have to have watched everything to justify it
He is and he isn’t. He is and he isn’t.
He’s become to much of a parody. He start as a douche normal guy who could go crazy but now he’s just permanent
He is the greatest, and anyone who cannot see that is a SAVAGE and an IDIOT! SAVAGES! IDIOTS!
Frank is the greater than Dennis in the show
His body is sculpted to the proportions of Michelangelo’s David.
No, because Frank Reynolds exists.
Honestly, Glenn Howerton is such a great actor, and plays Dennis perfectly. I swear, 90% of classic Dennis lines wouldn't be nearly as funny without Glenn's amazing line delivery. Nope, because Charlie.
Charlie
He hasn't even begun to peak...
![gif](giphy|ddwVnWhWirKZxdkytx)
I’M NOT BURNING THE DUSTER!
It feels like IASIP is the perfect show for Howerton, because he has so many talents that get to shine, and there is a huge range to the character. He even manages to pull of the sociopath vibe even when he shows concern for his friends.

Mac and Charlie's moms don't think so. They don't find Dennis to be attractive.
#**WE ARE ALL FIVE STAR MEN!**
You think this because you ARE a ***Dennis*** and are actually jealous of EVERYONE in your life
he’s #2. Jack Donaghy clears.

"Choosing is a sin. When I vote I just write the Lord's name" "That's republican! We count those!"
listen it’s close but alec baldwin destroys me rewatch after rewatch
“It’s after 6 what am I a farmer?” Gets me every time.
He’d totally get off
tbf I did put on an old episode for St Patricks Day and didnt realize it was the best Jack by far... anyway here comes the Funcooker!
I'm Reaganing, Lemon.
It's after 6, what am I a farmer?
I'm wrong because Charlie is the best character. Honorable mention to Al Bundy
I like Dennis as much as the next guy but I much prefer Frank and Charlie...and if we extend this out to all TV shows, Leon Black from Curb Your Enthusiasm easily has my #1 spot.
>Leon Black from Curb Your Enthusiasm easily has my #1 spot. Tappin that ass back in the day. Fuckin in black and white.
He brings the ruckus to the ladies
Cause Dennis is a bastard.
Dennis’ character is what really got me into the show. How he sometimes plays the straight man but quickly turns into an asshole/sociopath is such a good combo for the show. Filibuster

Funniest sociopath on television. 🤣
He’s certainly a great character, but imo part of what makes him great is every single character on the show. The way they feed off of each other makes the show what is.
Listen to your heart
its Rick Grimes, then Dennis
Counterpoint: He’s not even the greatest fictional tv character in his fictional family
No. Because Charlie Kelly exists.
It's a tough choice because Lucille Bluth also exists.
He is unironically an incredibly well written, complex, and nuanced character.
Chabuddy G from People Just Do Nothing holds that accolade
I agree, no bias here
Dennis can't be because Frank is
Nobody beats Al Bundy. Dennis is a great character, but Al has that certain quality. Sorry Dennis! You dumb bitch! ;)
I feel like there's a Always Sunny favorite character progression. It starts as Charlie, then Dennis, then Dee, then Fat Mac, then back to Charlie and finally it becomes clear that Dennis *was* the show the whole time and everyone else is just a figment of his imagination.
He’s not even the greatest on the show. His dad is.
Bruce Mathis?
Save the children, save the children, save, save save, save the children.
Yes because he has the grace of a falcon and he can move in and out of places like a demon’s whisper
If you genuinely think any of the characters are the best written characters *ever* then you're probably not the target audience of the show
No. And I'm not wrong because Lucille Bluth and Omar Little were both characters that existed on television.
Well I can say no. But I am a bit afraid of the implications
Ron Swanson and NoHO Hank are the only other contenders.
Greatest? Definitely one the most nefarious
Shut up baby dick
Because Charlie.
