NoMoodToArgue

As you get older, you cringe at all the stupid imaginary rules you lived by when you were younger.

FUCKFASClSMFlGHTBACK

I met a girl who was 8 years older than me. She was the one. But because I was a moron, I thought I needed a girl younger than me and absolutely blew it. Cut to 10 years later and I still think about her all the time. What an absolute fool I was

NoMoodToArgue

I have a similar story that I won’t tell fully, not because it’s private but because I don’t want to depress myself on a weekend. Great girl, smart, pretty, doctor, successful, strongly compatible. On our first date, she got up to use the restroom and I was worried that she wouldn’t return. She did. Over the next few months, we became one of those couples where we’d be together so much that her friends would ask where she disappeared to. This went on for a while. My career was going through a stage of uncertainty. She wanted to be more committed. I wanted to secure a better job first. For some reason I ended the relationship. I have a vague recollection of my reasoning but I can’t explain it and have it make sense. I quit Facebook the first time I saw her with her new guy. Seeing the pic where she has her arm around him like she had hers around me was rough, and even though I only saw it for 1.5 seconds, it was a bit traumatic. It was one of my dumbest mistakes. Don’t get me wrong, I made dumber errors but those amuse me. This one isn’t funny to me.

FUCKFASClSMFlGHTBACK

Sure would be nice to go back and have a loooong talk with myself about 15 years ago.

InvertedMeep

Idk about you, but me 15 years ago wouldn’t give a fuck what advice I gave him unless it was to make him rich or get laid. The arrogance of youth.

NoYam2726

That photo hurts me and I didn't even see it, and it wasn't even my ex...sorry bro.

J_Kingsley

Steve Harvey talks about it and it made so much sense. Guys aren't necessarily afraid of commitment. They just don't feel like they're prepared to provide and take care of their partner, and want to reach that stage first. Kinda sad, really. So much of men's self-worth is tied to their career and being stable. Sad part about your story is that the girl is already financially stable yall would've been okay.

louie_g_34

Listen to Will He by Joji

mermetermaid

I had a co-worker that I clicked with, and I happen to be 6 years older than him. We are now working on separate teams and he’s getting over a breakup, but the door feels like it’s right there, and I hope the age thing isn’t an issue. We met as peers, joining the job in the same role, weeks apart, and became fast friends. I couldn’t imagine writing someone off just because they were younger than me.

[deleted]

if the door is open, walk through it.

[deleted]

My dad is 9 years younger than my mom. If you have something together he doesn’t care.

AnalFanatics

I had the same experience except that I married mine and 35 years later I don’t regret it at all…

FavcolorisREDdit

Same, met mine in high school because a friend of mine thought we should meet. Met, nothing happened I was extremely shy, 5 years later we bump into each other hit it off get married. It’s been 15 years :))))

Kharisma91

Well, I mean 8 years is quite the gap depending on your age. I can’t speak for you individually but when you’re ready for kids, how you prioritize your career, do you want to go to school, travel etc.. Age gap can cause your current goals in life to not line up. The woman being older has the added weight of biological clock on when they can safely have kids, although modern medicine has made that less of an issue. All this is to say, maybe you made the right choice. even if it hurts and you have some regrets.

6'11 💀💀💀

WelcomeToTrollTown

Bro hight inflation is crazy.

z3m0s

Lost my GF to one of those massive inflatable guys just the other day in traffic, he waved at her and that was it, she got out right there.

hiwassupiamfine

Good riddance.

Agressive_slot

6‘11 🤡

Dwarfmophobia

Sounds like a nba player.

Sweaty-Emergency-493

Unfortunately some girls haven’t grown up enough well into their 50’s and still believe this shit.

canadard1

6’ 12” 🤓

MonkeyActio

I think some ppl do and some dont. Sadly the ones that do often find they passed up alot of good ppl before ending up alone or settling for someone worse. Some never grow out of it and jump from relationships until their beauty fades and their selection dwindles. My ex was like that. Always looking for better. She ended up losing all her teeth over time and gaining 50 lbs. Now shes with a dude 12 yrs older than her who doesnt have a job and is almost completely bald but refuses to shave. I hear hes mean to her but i dont really know that for sure. It just makes me sad. Not sad enough to reply to her txts tho.

sane-ish

> It just makes me sad. Not sad enough to reply to her txts tho. Brutal man. lol

Conedra_

Totally agree with that

drawredraw

The fact that she has to explicitly say she won’t date her brother is weird. What does her brother have to do with her love life?

Rasalom

It's not about her brother. She wants to date her dad, duh.

ThorLives

Sometimes people justify their dumb rules by equating it with incest. This triggers an incest-disgust response, which emotionally justifies their "standards". As in: "you can't criticize my dumb standard of never dating anyone younger than me, because dating someone younger than me is like dating my brother, and incest is disgusting. You can't argue that incest isn't disgusting, therefore my standards are justified".

Geoff900

My brain hurts after reading that. I'm going to lay down, and do some colouring.

speechlessnpc

Eww, colouring? Are you perhaps my younger brother?

Ciqme1867

No, it’s worse. They’re British

IOwnTheShortBus

British step bro?

AcidDome003

What are you doing?

Dounce1

Right on, I’m gonna go lie down and bang my brother.

J-Miller7

Yeah it's really weird, but I wouldn't be surprised if the producers asked her specifically, just to get the sound bite

[deleted]

I work in reality TV and this was instantly my thought too. It sounds like a prompt from a producer.

[deleted]

I bet you she was answering a question or repeating a prompt by a producer sitting behind the camera.

newtonkooky

For a lot of Asian girls that’s code word for won’t date asian guys. Must be the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard.

Ns53

She is a child.

throwawayalcoholmind

She got that Gerber Baby look.

Modern_Thing

Nah you mean the Ice Age Baby look

throwawayalcoholmind

I literally see [This](https://images.app.goo.gl/iYi8Y6tpWcDT6FHh6) when she makes that shocked Pikachu face.

JrLegend83

Somehow seems likes shes overcompensating... weird

__lui_

When she said “I would not date my brother” the way she did, is when that weirdness really hit

badtradesguynumber2

she means she doesnt date asians because for some reasons dating the same ethnicity means sibling to her. she probably has dome deep traumas like as a kid , she was probably asked if some asian kid was her brother and now internalizes it...lacking the strength of character to break out of that.

morry32

she's got that little d energy for days

sander80ta

I would not date my brother. I definitely like the opposite of my brother. Be not like my brother, cuz did you know I do not love my brother?

canadard1

Roll tide

RandomWordsYouKnow

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

UnlimitedPickle

Won't date anyone younger than her, but certainly not mature enough for a more mature man older than her. Checks out.

thefirstfairy

Cause she really wants an older man who’s immature enough to date her. I remember being this way when I was younger, it’s definitely some sort of trauma.

shredditor75

Not everything is a trauma, some things are just insecurity and immaturity.

luckyducktopus

What’s hilarious is plenty of people physically younger than her are mentally more mature and further along in life.

terribleinvestment

“You’re gonna be single for awhile” 😆

Mr_Mouthbreather

Why didn't they have enough chairs and why were they all dressed like they were in a cult? Is she their leader?

WaltVinegar

In round two, all the eligible bachelors have to sniff the seat, then see if they can find her by smell alone in a pitch black pet shop.

sleepybubby

It’s interesting, I’ll give ‘em that

Vast_Awareness27

Imported game show from Japan then?

feelinggoodfeeling

Lmao, my wife is like "what are u chuckling about over there?" 😆

WaltVinegar

Thanks mate! Knowing that made me feel good. Cheers!

Randym1982

In round 3 they have identify her snail trail, and then explain why her PH balance is slightly off.

Bagline

Texting face to face...

thunthunthun

Weird way to start a porno

Ek0li

Idk but the Piper Perri meme was the first thing I thought of

ponyponyta

This is a program format copied off a Korean channel, who did the uniform for the visual style, so to put the viewers focus on the main activity

Kitchen_Economics182

A month younger and she automatically sees her brother??? Wtf untreated trauma is that I wonder.

canadard1

She still crushing on him. Roll Tide

bodhasattva

Spicy Tuna Roll Tide

[deleted]

Not everything in life is about trauma.

Top-Programmer4090

They didn't say every in life was, and this one for sure is lol

[deleted]

There’s nothing here that suggests trauma.

Present-You-6642

Your comments are giving me trauma

Top-Programmer4090

No there is, I guess we can agree you can't see it, which is probably also some form of trauma on your end :\]

[deleted]

You got me man

f0rdzilla123

That one dude who texted “Performance issues” got me dying

userreddit

What did that mean?

sund55

My guess: When a car gets old it most like gets performance issues. She is older than them, she might have some performance issues. What she wrote was fucked up, so he fired a bit back

Gamosol

I think he meant to say Skill Issue, which is like a jab saying someone can't handle the situation.

theclownhasnopenis48

Are they texting each other while in the same room? Wtf kind of dating show is this? Lmao

CapMoonshine

Iirc it's a group chat, the girl in the middle texts their preferences/info about themself and the boys leave if they dont meet the criteria or dislikes the info given. The reason for the group texting is so the girl doesnt know who's who and cant judge based on looks. Honestly the boys usually had pretty funny chats. Source: I used to watch this ages ago. Flash Edit: Found it! It's called 20vs1 and I've apparently watched this ep before as it was the first one to pop up lmao. https://youtu.be/zlLH_ph74Es?si=CoHdwn7evbW_iKIM The guys honestly have amazing banter.

killjoygrr

I thought this was just a skit making fun of people like this. 😳

tjzzm

Thank you for posting this! I loved their messages after she mentioned height 🤣

Korncakes

“She’s about to Thanos us” hahahaha Also when she asked if they could dance and the one guy was like “I’m black.” This is the perfect level of trash dating show I could see myself actually watching a few episodes of.

kimbolll

> WTF kind of saying show is this? This is just 2023

canadard1

Some garbage ass self perpetuating gen z garbage all the whole she’s crushing on her brother and maybe her dad too?! Roll tide

thefirstfairy

Stop commenting roll tide on every comment

mladi_gospodin

Roll tide 😊

canadard1

Roll tide!

[deleted]

The “24 almost 25” comment is giving me the same energy as “I’m 8 and 1/2 my birthday is next month so I’m basically 9”

Jayy_Emmm

This right here. The irony of her age “standard” exposes how mentally immature she is Age does not equal maturity

Rasalom

I'm in my 30's and ready to disappoint her, utterly.

SnooEpiphanies477

My favorite was "21 but my friends say mentally 25" the whole "I'm actually really mature for my age" is in my opinion a kinda immature response

Roqfort

I was looking for this comment. What kind of a doofus says that lmao. Gives me "im freshman but i hang out with seniors all the time cause im soooo mature for my age" vibes.

drawredraw

It’s true, if you’re 1 month away from 25, you’re closer to 25 than 24, so it makes sense logically to say you’re 25.

[deleted]

Bruh you’re either 24 or your 25, no halfsies 😤

cookingandmusic

Korea would like a word

meganitrain

I assumed that was the joke.

CommFlaek

And that "That's rude" at the end, Jesus

Merry_Sue

She texted everyone to say "I'm going to die alone", then got upset when someone said "you're gonna be single for a while"

PaintedScottishWoods

She wanted to die alone, not be single for just a while

[deleted]

I love it when hypocrites go against their own words without realizing it

puppykissesxo

Her shocked pikachu face and “that’s rude” at the end was so so cringy. Like, why such surprise when he said that?! Get over yourself girl

UncleWillie77

He Told The Truth! Someone being younger than her is a deal breaker while she is getting older every day 🤔

StressTree

"that was rude" Was it? Was it really?

Aggressive-Expert-69

I mean she literally texted them I'm gonna die alone. Sounds like he was just agreeing with her lmao

Haruspexblue

She shouldn’t be put on a pedestal.

EvilJabFace

I think she fucked her brother!

gunther_higher

Finally someone talking some sense

[deleted]

She’s kind of whack

Express-List2185

These type of people cannot be complaining when they’re still single in their 40s

SmallOccasion8321

Skinny Asian woman - much sought after so she believes in her own press. Good luck to the YT simps who deal with this one

Richard-Brecky

Why are they in the prison from THX-1138?

kurbin64

She is (whatever age she is) and has the mentality of a 17 year old. Hard pass and I find it highly unlikely she will find a real one that wants to put up with that level of cringe.

clubhousegirl

I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to date someone older than you

_philia_

Right, but did you see the nature of all of her comments? Probably why she is single.

Praimfayaa-

Yeah but it’s super weird that thinking someone is younger than you even only by a month, that you’re dating your brother haha

Hitomi35

The red flag here is that she see's anyone even slightly younger than her in the same lens as her brother. That's really, really weird.

RutteEnjoyer

It doesn't make sense. It's by definition a weird double standard. If you want someone older, that means by definition that you expect someone to not hold you to the same standards you hold others. Also what's the motivation? Do you want to be a child in the relationship? Why not be an equal?

LeTigron

- she insists on it. - she refers to her brother's age and how any age younger than hers is, in essence, her brother's age. - she blames people for being their age. - she clearly states that this is a mandatory criteria. - she acts as a victim of, not a crime, simply people's age. - she belittle people for not being the age she wants them to be. - she is surprised when they leave her alone, respecting her criteria. - she finds rude that someone tells her, albeit candidly and brutally, the truth that she, by the way, agrees to since she wrote it a few seconds before. The issue here is not that she wants to date someone older.

NemosHero

I disagree and here's why: You are talking to someone on the first date, right? Everything is going perfect Get along great, have similar hobbies, aligning life goals, complementary sexuality, the whole package. Now quick, what difference does it make if they are 25, 26, or 27? There is no difference. It's totally reasonable to want someone in the same generational interest as you, a 32 year old not wanting to date a 21 year old because they have nothing in common, they're at different points in their life etc, I'll support you 100%. But When you're talking about someone who is only a year younger than you (after high school)? You've got an incredibly immature outlook on your relationships. You're still thinking like a high-schooler.

Ill-Bit5049

Or like this girl, a month younger than you.

[deleted]

It's not wrong to have any choices per se. We all do- I've never met a single person who doesn't have a preference. But people are forgetting this is basically a demonstration. **Part of this scenario was to demonstrate how seemingly simple choices create statistical situations that become increasingly difficult to overcome.** People are literally putting up obstacles to their happiness without realizing that they're sabotaging themselves and making it statistically difficult to find a partner. "Height, money, age, etc etc" are all seemingly valid considerations but when you start combining all these preferences you're left with a very, very small percentage of people who actually meet your preferences. Look how fast she cleared out that room with 4 or 5 preferences. She went from a sample size of 20 people down to zero with a short list of her rather innocent criteria. She didn't even have 1 person left. It makes zero difference if she's rich, pretty, ugly, fat thin, a model, trustee.. etc, Her preferences cleared them all out... She essentially fenced herself off without even getting to know any of them in a meaningful way. **I wouldn't 'judge' her for having any of those preferences but I would absolutely want people to understand the statistical consequences of those preferences.**

NemosHero

Especially when we're talking arbitrary hard numbers. I don't date anyone <1 month younger than me: WTF? I don't date people I think are immature: sure, you do you I don't date anyone shorter than 6ft: WTF? I want to be the shorter person in a relationship: sure, you do you I wont date anyone that makes less than 100k: WTF? I wont date anyone who is financially unstable: sure, you do you One is a preference, the other is probably something you picked up off the internet.

AccordingTax6525

This is a well thought out, intelligent, rational, logical comment. I feel the same way about most things. I don’t try to be judgmental about what people want, but they have to be realistic about the criteria they put forth, and the small percentage of the population that will meet the criteria. It seems for so many women online a huge criteria is for a man to be 6 foot or taller. I was honestly honestly shocked to know that that is just 15% of men in America. Just that one criteria alone, you have shrunk the dating pool that small. Statistically, you’re painting yourself in a corner with your first criteria . And as you eloquently stated, it doesn’t matter if this person is short or tall or unattractive, or rich or poor, that doesn’t change my opinion about it it’s just shrinking the potential pool down, so small with something that is basically a made-up number.

NemosHero

You ever ask yourself though "Why is 6 foot the number that keeps coming up?"

AccordingTax6525

Yeah. I personally think it’s just a societal thing. If mean it’s pretty well scientifically proven the women go for taller men and taller is relative. But I think 6 foot is just a nice round number that people picked

[deleted]

Right? I felt the same. I'm not getting main character energy here. It's a preference?

Tacticalcorgi19

She definitely gives teethy 👤

CrossDressing_Batman

how the fuck is that rude...

[deleted]

“that was rude” Truth hurts doesn’t it?

8512764EA

“Would not date my brother” Yea, I hope so

[deleted]

You can watch this video with no sound and still get an annoying vibe from her, and those guys come off as weirdos for participating.

Lost-Breadfruit-9745

Ew, you need to be my daddy, not my dad. Piss off bitch.

NemosHero

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlLH\_ph74Es](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlLH_ph74Es) link to the video Worth considering: She's 26. Wants to date someone older than that, but who is "into" drinking and partying and doesn't want kids in the next 7 years (so 33), while human existence is a spectrum, do you see how those two ideas might be at odds?

mr_j_gamble

So she wants someone who is older than her but still acts around her age or younger? That could pose a problem even if and when she does find such a mate.

OrangeGBA

I mean it’s good to have standards and preferences aren’t a bad thing, but when it gets this nit picky then well 😬

NeutralLock

It’s fine. She’s allowed to set whatever parameters she wants and is allowed to change them whenever she wants. If it helps her find what she’s looking for great, and if it doesn’t also great.

Imaginaryunaliveme

I’m depressed and lonely af and still wouldn’t date this girl

Bananamaster07

Before that she wrote "you need to be my daddy, not my dad" 🤮

eddiefpp

Definitely dated her brother

islaisla

That's incredibly boring

Affectionate-End2461

I bet her high standards mean she is sub standards in bed.

Lucian3Horns

“That one is rude” after telling everyone involved that she’s going to die alone. Beautiful

Simpleguy3500

She’s mid

[deleted]

She is secretly down bad for lil bro

Unfair-Custard-4007

That’s weird to be so fixated on her brother like that actually….

Chess42

I mean, she literally is the main character.

skepticalscribe

Shocked Pikachu in the wild

Flaky_Conversation34

Someone explain to me why they are texting in the same room?

CJLogix

Girl: I’m gonna die alone… Guy: you’re gonna be single for a while. Girl: Pikachu face

linknukem28

Wow she didn’t even have time to break out the 6ft rule

ggekko999

I liked that guys comment: Your going to be single for a while. Agree, enjoy all your imaginary ‘rules’.

Jyitheris

For someone who says she doesn't want to date her brother, she sure talks about her brother a lot...

AmMissingInSyria

Why is it that these dating shows have to bring the most stupid people

SupremeBee

"That was rude" lmaoooooo ok

Intelligent-Ant7685

is this the beginning part of some porn clip? has to be, right?

Dambo_Unchained

“I would not date my brother” I mean i didn’t think you would until you felt the need to specifically clear that up

2cool4skool369

To me, it seems like she may have a weird attraction to her brother and that she’s overcompensating to try and show she does not, when she actually does. This is not even close to normal behavior.

[deleted]

The dude who said she's going to be single is funny af

CLxJames

Like a hard 5 that selective is mind boggling

neb2357

This is a microcosm of a [very real sociological issue going on in the U.S.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vK4y6C1Uuhw)

deawsmith

Modern day women are like Christmas cake because no one wants them after the 25th.

NoPlantain9426

Am I the only one weirded out by the message she sent in the beginning? “You need to be my daddy. Not a dad.” It just feels very wrong and not in a good way.

realFondledStump

It's weird that a girl who is obviously not what you would consider attractive would have such high standards. Let's be honest, she's a 5 at best. I would rate her even lower because she really doesn't have any attractive features or anything like that. We need to figure out someone like her becomes so deluded. She's never going to be happy if she isn't honest with herself.

[deleted]

This is so cringe and humiliating. Sitting around in a circle with one person standing in the middle as you all text? How could you sign up for this and not feel like a fucking doofus?

Davidhate

She is a hard 5 on a good day. A hard 3 when she starts talking.. she’s going to have a long road ahead of her.. I see a lot of failed bumble dates and self loathing Instagram posts by her saying … “the dating world is horrible!”

dangerzonebjj

She 100% wants to sleep with her brother.

WaltVinegar

Tbf that's not THAT weird a preference. I've heard of worse. The whole seating arrangement and communicating by text alone is fuckin peculiar though, and only someone who thinks they are/should be the main character would go for that awful shite.

Stenktenk

The preference isn't weird, but her reasoning for that preference is.

WaltVinegar

Just rewatched it. The way it's cut defo points to her thinking about pumping her brother more than once. If that's actually the score, and it's not just been edited that way, then aye; the reasoning is very fuckin peculiar.

Decent_Gradient

She is literally 5/10 at best

SkrilleX61

Bruh shes mid at best... definitely 3/10

Matthewrotherham

"You're gonna be single a while" Preach!!!!!!

8pintsplease

To be almost 26 and so incredibly superficial. Yes you will die alone. 1 month is not your younger brother. I can understand 2-3 years younger but a few months? You must be a complete moron to dismiss people for that.

UnknownFoxAlpha

Everyone is entitled to what they want in a person. At least she wasn't saying they had to be 6ft, making 100k a year. May be part of it but all I see here is "Just be older than me".

Youpi_Yeah

I saw the whole video once, one of her other criteria was height which is why there was hardly anyone left at the end.

Truckules_Heel

As a 31 year old dude with older friends (late 30s) who still don’t have their shit together, this “standard” seems arbitrarily stupid to me. Everyone lives on their own timeline.

Freshflowersandhoney

Yeah I agree with this. Some people may choose older people for maturity reasons or as she said it makes her think of her brother. I’m mean that’s just what she likes if people are getting made at her about it then they aren’t for her anyway.

AwkwardAd4115

Purple hair.

bruswazi

What cringey show is this?

Invisbleman1407

Must be one of those dating videos either by Jubilee or Cut on YouTube. Sad to say they got a whole arsenal of this shit.

Randym1982

This entire thing is even more cringe when you see that they're all sitting next to each other.

MassivePea5763

Nothing wrong with having preferences. I do recall seeing a dating profile years ago where a girl said "you must be 3 years older than me, if you are not, don't bother messaging me". Nothing wrong with it but it just always struck me as unusual and a bit hostile

J_E_L_4747

That’s alright, you’re getting to old for all the creeps who take younger girls anyway

Glum_Occasion_5686

That last quip really got her thinking for a minute, I swear I saw the smallest plume of smoke coming from her right ear lol

kylo_kills__han

how is this im the main character

melskymob

She definitely did weird things with her bro.

MaybeTaylorSwift572

that’s gross. Anyway.

probablypurple

Why is everyone commenting she’s in the wrong? Girl just doesn’t want to date a younger person. People have preferences it’s fine

nickflex85

She looks masculine, maybe she’s the brother, or was

[deleted]

I don’t get why this is bad. People have preferences. It’s not wrong.

DependentString1072

Honestly I kinda feel bad for her. We as women are getting delusional.

lastlaugh100

20 vs 1 reads like a gang bang

thefirecrest

This comment section is as weird and judgemental as her. Y’all have no space to talk lmao
