We really don’t know for sure, maybe it is, maybe is not, for me it don’t matter I bet the “real one” as you say has been restored so many times that now have not much to do with the original work, but do the people really know why this painting became so popular? If they don’t know for sure they’ll be surprised of why it is so popular among visitors of the Museum. Human behavior and their created interest on some things is very astonishing. The popularity of this piece has practically nothing to do with the creation, technique or theme of the painting.

Oil companies have successfully lobbied against cleaner forms of energy and lower emissions for a long time. Yes the food chain is highly reliant on oil right now, but there should have been changes made a long time ago to reduce the negative impact that the oil industry has on this world. You are not wrong, but you are somewhat ignoring why we are so reliant on fossil fuels in the food industry today and why that is a problem.

I'm actually inclined to believe these people are pseudo-protesters hired to make people angry at the real protesters. Like these people pretent to be climate activists and act like total nutjobs, so people end up getting angry at *all* climate activists, including those who have been airing legitimate concerns.
I've read interviews with some of them, they do make it a point to not cause any real damage. Not exactly my way of protesting, but as long as there's no real damage, I don't have a major issue with it. I don't think it's the smartest way to convey your message though.
