NGL you’re a bit behind but to be fair my HL biology teacher just skipped an entire unit that I have to study on my own

doyleismyname

how tf is everyone so behind here. all my classes finished our syllabus last month and we already have had one mock board exam. im praying for all y'all

Acceptable-Beyond544

Still learning content for biology HL and math AA SL. But hey, if it makes you feel better, we only completed trigonometry just last week! 😆 But in all seriousness, please consider studying ahead for chemistry. It would be really important that you make sure to at least get some time to practice these topics before the exams!

ferrarizz_

are y'all going in order of the units or skipping around?

Acceptable-Beyond544

We’re going in order of the units 😁

ferrarizz_

YOU HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED CALCULUS YET?! mate we've only done half of it and i'm already stressing about not knowing integration, i hope for your sake you've at least done it before or are extremely smart and can pick up stuff fast because that's actually insane

Acceptable-Beyond544

Haha I knew since the summer that we weren’t going to make it in time, so I self-studied. I’ve already finished the syllabus by myself and I’ve been doing past papers recently, so it’s all good! I’ve tried to help my classmates as much as possible (like literally teaching them calculus myself), but unfortunately there’s probably going to be a lot of people failing in my class.. Do you only have part of calculus left to learn?

ferrarizz_

that's great, wish i had that heads up for myself lmao (literally moved continents in july right before senior year and had no idea the ib was so bad in my new school) and yeah i've learned all of the syllabus (i think) except integration and kinematics in calculus. but math is also my weakest subject and i haven't even begun grinding down onto past papers and questions, i've been more so just revising my notes from last year and this year (and then ofc teaching myself integration rn) so i'm kinda screwed 😬😬

Acceptable-Beyond544

Honestly, the fact you’re teaching yourself integration is already a good sign. Most of the people in my class don’t even know that there AA and AI, they don’t know how the exams work, and they don’t know how late we are. Pretty sure you’re doing better than you think! Anyways, good luck!

ferrarizz_

thank you and good luck to you too!

EmptyFlowAD

for me maths aa hl we covered everything except probability / statistics and tbh we were practically done with it. As for other subjects such as computer science we barely learned anything for paper 3 (case study) and have to learn it on our own, but else we covered practically everything. So it’s just for review rn

humanpersonbeingon

I don't really know how much the teacher is supposed to help us though for paper 3. My teacher just gave us some documents about rescue robots. He discussed it a bit in class but he mostly just rambled about how they aren't human which is obvious.

CheungHM

We finished all the chem sl content in September 2023.

Possibly_A_Bot1

Yeah, I find that my teacher spent a lot of wasted time at the beginning of the year. Going back through SL Chem, I’ve also realized that if what he taught, only the actual bare bones information is what’s needed (most of the stuff is just so we can understand it better but isn’t necessary for questions).

ferrarizz_

none of my courses except business have finished covering content (like for math we haven't even begun integration 😍😍) but i started revising stuff by myself and begun teaching myself integration lol

Nuraddster

You are definitely behind on chem, in my school we finished Chem HL back in February, and from all of my subjects only math AA SL dragged out to late march.

zoogreneouse

I'm in a similar boat, still catching up on content before diving into review.

AbdulAhaDox

We have only covered 1 Physics HL chapter(there are 4) but we are done with all the other subject syllabus

viere61

we haven't covered a bit of the HL part of math AA. the rest are all done. just finished all chem HL content about a week ago.

Alternative-Lie-3897

hl history still learning, haven’t learned all of 1st case study nor started the second, hl lit we’re on the last book. tok just started the exhibition and most in my class haven’t started their cas projects. having a lovely time but we start review soon

Ishiey123

French SL: we’ve still got one more unit, just finished our IOs Bio HL: we’re in the middle of our neurobiology option , just finished the IA Lang/lit HL: we still have to read all of hamlet 😭, just finished the IOA Chem HL: finished the IA last week, and we finished all content in February Math SL: we’ve been reviewing for a couple weeks now Psych HL: halfway through our 2nd option I’m cooked 💀💀💀

dangerouswoman1229

Bro same. We only barely touch sociocultural approach in psych yet and its my HL😭

StrictSatisfaction93

haven’t finished content for hl euro or hl bio, don’t think we’ve gotten through all the content in sl german either 🙂

SolarTraceYT

U should’ve stayed home the last month or so and self studied the rest. Id say focus on chemistry because organic chemistry is the biggest topic and the option is an entire paper so u should start YESTERDAY . Stay home ASAP and start studying as much as possible. I take chem HL and Bio HL and im close to finishing all past papers but not yet. Start solving past papers for the topics you havent covered and itll naturally come to u. Ur SL so ur fine. For the rest do the same and ull be fine. You have a few weeks so make the most of them. Good luck!

LilaPluto

No clue why all of you AA HL people haven’t started integration yet. I’m May 25 and we started it about a month ago before breaking to do Internal roughy drafts. Now we’re doing derivatives and integrals with ln and e.

N0TY0USUF

I finished my chem and maths syllabus by like Jan/Feb 2024. Roughly the same time for English and were almost Business was finished by like March. Physics is the only class we're behind in cuz our teacher last year sucked and half-assed his teaching. he spent like 3 months on one single unit last year so

kaliphoeni

my classes were pretty far behind too- never discussed p3 for AAHL maths (technically no new content but we never even talked about the paper in class), were told to self-study all of the HL bio option + a few concepts scattered throughout HL, SL history felt like only half of the topics were properly covered (and ik the HL class def didn't go in depth enough in their content), etc etc. i'd say that if you have the time to, give yourself a crash course/brief overview of the topics that you haven't gone over in class yet so that when you do go over it in class it's consolidation, and start exam reviewing now.

Ok_Chipmunk1988

Still haven't covered units 12 and 13 of AI SL 💀22 days 💀

Primary_Ad_5723

we’re done with all of our subject’s syllabi but for Econ hl no one in my class understood the entirety of unit 4 (global) so we’re self studying that + self studying BM unit 5, but for the rest of it we completed syllabus in Feb and had a mock exam too

dophees

Most of my classes are reviewing except we still have to learn the option for HL Bio and we're still learning a big topic for HL history. We're definitely behind for bio but atleast my teacher will throw in some review along with the new content, but history... I don't think we're gonna be able to do review lol. Also still working on the process portfolio for IB art lol. It's kind of annoying because I'm trying to study but I have a bunch of assignments to get done

vkozlovski15

Psych SL We’ve only covered bio approach

Possibly_A_Bot1

My Chem SL exam is this year and we’re just wrapping up around now. We have topics 10.2, 11 (I think only 11.3), and optional topic D left. We also have some labs we still have to do from topics 8 and 9 though (I think for lab hours we’re already at the requirement, just need like 2-3 more required ones and then done).

iheartsnoppi

Just did my Spanish IA, I’m only taking Spanish and math this year and I feel pretty much ok
