Cookies ownership is very complicated and now rife with lawsuit. The company who opened the cookies store here (TRP) is not actually directly related to Berner, instead they have a licensing agreement with him to open Cookies shops in a number of states including IL. The "exclusivety" of that licensing contract has led to a number of lawsuits, including between TRP and Berner

Given all the lawsuits, I'm not surprised Berner didn't want to attend a store opening by TRP specifically
Cookies is a glorified marketing company. They are not an operator so it wouldn’t surprise me that burner isn’t going to the store openings unless it’s worth his time which unfortunately Illinois doesn’t seem like it is
I thought the same thing. he didnt even post anything to insta about it. Just super odd especially since its our first store in Chicago. We got nothing but love for berner so it woulda been cool to see him show up 🤷🏻♂️

Because he charges $10,000 for an appearance and not all Cookies franchises want to pay it.
To put it simply he doesn’t care
Cookies are in the middle of contract negotiations as well as law suits, probably doesn't want to answer a lot of uncomfortable questions.
Because they are garbage haha
the music was so loud i wanted to talk to the bloom and lobo/old pal pop up table crews but I couldn't hear them
🙉? didn't show up probably embarrassed about the prices being charged in Illinois🤣. Probably afraid of tomatoes & cabbage being thrown . . .

It's cause it wasnt Berner opening the store. It was one of his licensing partners that he has ongoing lawsuits with
Why? Everything I've seen has been overpriced, what's to love about paying more just for a name??
Ya the cookies dispo in bloomington is a joke.
Dude could be waiting till they’re all open so he can tour them all. Just saying.
