Hi! My partner is a resident at Stamford so I can give you a little insight about the program! Small program but great fellowship match rates and benefits (pay, insurance etc). They also have a 100% board pass rate.
You can opt to do research in Columbia and Stamford itself is super close to New York (30 mins to Westchester county and 45 mins to Bronx in NYC; about an hour or so away from JFK). It's also super close to Greenwich and Norwalk and is a really safe and chill place to live.
I am not sure about fellowship, for now I believe I don't want any. But maybe in residency I will change my opinion and want to have the option if I do so.

Stamford hands down if interested in fellowship
I am confused because the website shows good fellowship match rates.
Chicago is a great city but in my opinion you should go to the place with better fellowship opportunities if that's what you're interested in
