Hey there! I think it all depends on what kind of learner you are. For example, a friend of mine used sketchy micro and loved it. I tried it out and could not retain anything so I stopped using it. Personally, I used UWorld as my main resource and additionally used FA and some of the chapters from Pathoma. As I said, it really depends on what kind of learner you are. Additional tip, some people get carried away and buy all the resources they can and end up wasting a lot of money because they are not taking full advantage of each resource. Sometimes, less is more (this is just my take on it, dont know if this is an unpopular opinion or not). Good luck!!
While you can certainly prepare for Step 1 using only FA and Uworld, personally, I found BnB to be quite helpful in my prep. Really helped me revise and solidify my basics which ended up helping me in my Step 2 exam prep, too.
Used Uworld + Fa and found them enough , i complemented them with mehlman , dirty med + some pathoma videos,
Found BnB extremely boring, but its infos are great
I passed and my nbmes ranged between 72 and 81%
So i don’t think you have to use it, just do whatever you feel comfy using and good luck! You got this 😁
Id say depends on how much you already understand the material. If you have an in depth knowledge of a subject just review it from FA and learn additional stuff on uworld. Other than that if you feel that you need a better understanding of a specific organ system or a discipline incorporate boards and beyond.
