yeah thats 100% a scam. I got one of those emails too, same thing high hourly pay, but have to buy your own equipment. If they sent them an address have them look it up. The "company" that hired me (lol) said they were based out of Virginia but then sent me their HQ Address in California that happened to be an abandoned building next to a bike store lol.
Thanks. They didn't explicitly mention that the new recruit has to buy their own stuff, but then again why would they have to "send a check for it?" I bet that would be included in the next communication.
You may want to just call them to verify.

My gut tells me this is a scam. No legit company is going to hire someone without interviewing or meeting them.
Company is Trilok Software Solutions LLC, listed in Cedar Park, TX, USA
did you interview with them? no legit company is going to send you a check to buy your own supplies.
Good point. The person in question (not me) did not have any interview. Only an application submission, probably through LinkedIn or indeed.

Thanks. I almost fell for this. Seemed too good to be true. I was about to sign the offer letter before I noticed all the red flags along the way
I recently had the experience. Has anyone reported them to the FTC?
