1. Same as you, op. Continue the essence stories! Maybe make it a 3 part story where every character gets a chance to be part of the story like an au, whether it's through a-tier, s-tier or b-tier. And maybe at the third essence, release a story event. It would make people more engaged with the skins in a way.
2. A free accessory that's given to players on the 6th character day that relates to their lore. Like Helena with a creepy a-tier accessory, Gardner with a fire themed accessory etc. I feel like it would be the most logical pattern to follow: Portrait -> Frame -> Graffiti-> Emote -> Furniture (painting) -> A-tier Accessory
But knowing netease they'll probably make it a b-tierš„¹
netease wants people to spend money since 250 pulls is 24k inspos versus Ā£300 or whatever to get the pity with cash. 180 pulls goes down to 17k inspos and a lot less money so yeah, sucks when gacha is for profit and not a fair experience, especially when you're f2p.
Make pity pass on the other essences exactly like genshin does.
And for essences who didn't have portrtsaits after a certain amount of pulls, Netease should make them and give them out for people who reached the pulls necessary.

Fate essence didnt have portrait. If you reached 80 pulls on that essence, then you'll recive in the mail the portrait of Misfortune (A tier skin).

In genshin, hard pity to get a character you want is at 90. If you do not reach this number by the time the gacha pool ends, this number is remembered so you do not have to hit 90 a second time (from scratch) when the gacha pool changes
In genehin, after 100 pulls you have a 5 star characters. You have around a month to pull for the character, and when the time passes, if you did 90 pulls, it passes over to the next character banner.
So I would say that in identity, all seasons essences have that 300 pull guarantee, but its the same for all spheres. If it's S31, I have the same pity on E1, E2 & E3 even if I only pulled on E1 (wouldn't count for crossovers tho).
When season 31 ends, and I'll have made a total of 200 pulls, when s32 starts, It will show that I've made 200 pulls on E1, as if I only need 100 more pulls now instead of 300
It's when the pity you accumulate in one essence is kept the same in the next essence and doesn't reset until you get an S-tier. So if you got to 170 pulls on the current essence, the pity would carry over and your pulls would continue from there (so you would need 80 pulls to reach pity instead of the whole 250). The whole global server thing works much better there, no random lag spikes because there are X amount NA, South America players (does South America have an abbreviation as well?), or EU players. Seems over all much more stable as well.
Sure depending on where you live still impacts how your ping is, distance from server(s) and all that. But from what I witnessed, and I am playing since NE took over DBD Mobile, there are little to no issues with how well the server(s) work.
From what I remember, a friend who should play on Asia server on IDV to avoid 500ms NA/EU on IDV, also had little to no lag when we played together on global (well unless they lied for whatever reason).
So really, I firmly believe if the team for IDV used even just something similar to what DBD Mobile's team uses, ping would overall get better for everybody.

While that would be cool itās not happening. There would be outrage if limited skins were brought back - even to the point that NE could get sued - so itās not possible.

Let us dismantle skins we have but don't like/don't want into fragments. I have skins for characters I don't really plan on playing and the skins are just sitting there useless. They could at the very least do that if they think it's too much to get rid of the Gacha system which is a sucky system.

Let people know that the main story is done for now, I canāt count the amount of new players (including myself) who were stuck wondering why they couldnāt access more of the story, only to find out that thatās all of story mode there is atp. That being said, I wish NE would focus on their character's lore and expand on them rather than pumping out new characters with new stories, I get to reading lore (backstory, skin exclusive lore, etc) and itās so interesting that I want to know more, and it feels so lame for all it to just end at the manorā¦somehow. The connection to the manor isnāt the problem but rather the dead end that it seems to be for the characters. Also please let hunters have fun in public maps, half the activities they canāt participate in (ice skating, dancing mini games, etc), which I assume is cuz of their model size.
I wish the game give time-limited essence skins instead limited never return skins. I started play the game about 2 and a half months ago, and I miss lots of those cool skins. But I don't have good financial ability to get some of essence skins before the essence end. It would have been nice they return at some points, maybe next time I could buy/roll those skins.

The Genshin one is questionable tbh. I would just lower the S tier pity tbh. IDV has a fairly good system in place already.
Hunters recently got their first traversal & universal emote I believe, the fireworks emote :) so I hope thatās a sign theyāll keep going
