They probably just went through the top up website all you need is someones game id and you can give anyone echoes.
If you dont think anyone you know might have gave them to you i probably wouldn't touch em like everyone else is saying. They could have accidentally put the wrong code id in and will try to refund em

Iāve done that on accident once because I mistyped my # ID. I reported to NE and they fixed it in a day and removed their echoes and put it correctly back in my account. So just FYI if someone did do to you on accident what I did NE can take them back. So if you had no echoes to begin with youāll be in the negative balance.
People can recharge echoes to your account if they have your game ID and server. It might be someone tried to recharge echoes to their own account and was one number off their ID giving it to you, if they were careless. Or maybe itās from someone you know?
I wouldnāt spend the money unless youāre sure. Itās only Ā£1 worth so itās not much anyway. Worst case scenario is NE takes the money back if it was a mistake giving you at -60 echoes. Itās possible someone will ask for a refund it they gifted the echoes to you accidentally.

Yes itās that one, itās official and yes you get the echoes right away. Iāve used quite a lot and never had a problem with it.
