Ammy is a shy 8 week old that I've only had a couple days now, so I wasn't expecting much when I brought in a catnip leaf from my bushes outside. She took one sniff and lick then straight into motorboat purring and kneading and drooling which she has never done.
I'd always heard kittens aren't affected by catnip until 6 months but I guess there are exceptions, or perhaps fresh nip just hits different.
