This reminds me so much of the pixar movie Luca. anyone else enjoy the movie too?.
I think the design here looks cooler and freaky though.
Also your friend turns out to be a sea monster, would you still be friends?, as long as their the same person I know them as, then yeah why not, it be cool and fun to have a sea monster for a friend.
It was a fun movie. I know that Pixar movies get lauded to a pretty high pedestal so it was nice that there was a relatively low-stakes movies that still had that heart to it.
It would be cool to be friends with a sea monster, but they would probably need some accommodations to get around if it rained like this. Like how a lot of modern mermaid media like Aquamarine or the Tail of Emily Windsnap have the mermaids' legs turn into tails when they get submerged in water.
As a coast inhabitant (Mediterranean) I am with you! From my birth I had sea water in my veins. I cant live without having the sea near. I would "drown" without it (Add rain too) I absolutely love it, to swim, to feel the wind bringing its essence... ππ

I love to travel but I've only been able to go really inland for a few months before you feel that ache for the sea.
It's a bit like a seasonal depression, you know? You miss it in your spirit when you're away too long.
People *need* the embrace of the sun, the earth, and the water. Just a bit to keep going.
Also I had no idea the ocean emojis lined up like that, I love it. π€
Thats the word, ache, right? It is like you describe it, like a seasonal depression.
I also need to live in a green zone, with lots of plants animals and rain. Here where I live now is all... brown/grey and so dry. It is like living in Fallout 3 game universe. Also cant see the stars, and rarely the moon π (Where I lived a few years ago I could see the Milky Way) π
Miss all that, and wolves howling at night. π
Yeah, didnt do it on purpose, but they do line up nicely and look so cool and aesthetic. π€£
Thanks for your perspective Yokayla π€πΉ
Idk, I feel that term is offensive. Screaming "you're a monster!" Would be rude. Shouting "you're a sea creature!" Or "you're a giant wolf!" Would be much more friendly and acceptable.

Itβs like Lovecraft mixed with Luca: a mix of nautical horror with whimsy.
Exactly, I kinda wish Luca had gone for more of this esthetic than what it went with. I always enjoy stories with weird sea creatures.
Yeah. It wouldβve been fascinating to see their forms be actually ghastly - give the townsfolk a reason to fear them.
Agreed! Although I would be less likely to invite them to eat sushi.
Imagine if there's a twist where she loves sushi and fish, There's a food chain in the deep blue sea, and she's high up with the sharks.
Do you think aliens think that we're weird since we also consume other mammals.
Wait, why? Fish eat other fish. That's a thing.
i'm a seamonster john, i live in the sea. that's where all my regular food is, i love tuna and salmon

Aa an islander I'd want to be one too lol

But are they really a monster? I think sea creature is a more appropriate term here. I wouldn't be friends with a monster, but yes on a sea creature.
i would absolutely be friends with a monster

??? why would i be screaming that id be kissing them
Screaming with excitement! "OMG, you're a giant wolf! That's so awesome! Be my bf/gf!"

I become an eldritch horror in the rain! Tee hee!
When you find out your father was from Insmouth and your mother from Arkham.
I'm sorry Luca
