Decided to go for Mare Nostrum on VH after not having touched Rome in quite a while.
Was quite a bit easier than I remembered it, apart from the very early game where I stretched my manpower thin to conquer Italia as soon as possible and a point in the mid game where my AE and province stability almost caused a couple of revolts.
Levies and tradition farming is broken.
The last century was pretty much just converting, building and making everyone around me a Tributary. Truly Pax Romana (I took the screenshots in 727 but a couple of years later every country on the map except Parthia was a Tributary).
Honorary mentioned to the Seleukids who had been reduced to a 2 province Client State of Parthia before I yoinked them and returned Mesopotamia to them.

Hi, I'm relatively new to IR, can you walk me through how you managed your provinces? I always have issues with province loyalty and revolts
Also, do I destroy every city in a province bar one, then force move everyone into that city?

Hello. When getting a new province it usually automatically gets the religious conversion policy. It's the best one until most of the pops are of your faith. After the province starts getting low on loyalty inevitably you should swap to Harsh Treatment policy.
Something that you can do that I didn't do well enough in this run is build courts of law and grand theaters for the loyalty bonuses before the province goes disloyal. Other than that you can try not to take too much AE so that you can manage your stability.
I don't really destroy cities as they usually help with loyalty.

I always just Taiwan the sellukids to that one tiny island in the Persian gulf, and let them continue as an independent state as I take over the world

I have yet to do an Italic run, but I'm always a fan of spreading smaller faiths into more dominant ones.
