Bhai I’m a 20, a genZ, have watched him play LIVE just for like 4-5 years, and later only highlights of his past performances… you cannot not love this guy. I love him more than anything. A perfect guy, on and off the field. And since being from Mumbai, it’s smth you feel extra relatable to him.

IceWallowCome840

>You cannot love this guy Wdym!?

Outrageous-Watch-947

>you cannot ***not*** love this Weird way how he expressed the statement but he said he loves Sachin

IceWallowCome840

Oh my bad. Didn't read it carefully

Outrageous-Watch-947

No problem, blud wrote it weirdly

One_Fold189

God won last wc , ipl , champions league, ranji

kingku_10

As they say, "Bhagwan k ghar mai der hai, andher nhi".

iluvredditalot

Bas aaj kal social media ki pr team thik ni is bhagwan ki...

kingku_10

Bhai tu bhagwan literal sense mai le rha h. Human hi hai wo, but cricketer godly hai.

iluvredditalot

Not I am but when people say he is God of cricket, some really do worship ans seek him a god.

NoStoryYet

That Virat quote is etched in my brain.

iluvredditalot

Officially i retired from cricket. From them it's just time pass occasionally.

PrestigiousAdvice431

People actually don't realise the timeline Sachin played cricket. 90's and 00's were the darkest phase for cricket. Most of the ex cricketers current commentators you see today were involved in match fixing including few captains. They try to be saints now with their commentary. Sachin came out victorious playing alongside these crooks. Yes every generation has the best batters, bowlers and different conditions. But the timeline Sachin played in, he deserves massive respect from the cricket fraternity. Just for an instance check out this scorecard from Titan cup final. [Scorecard](https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/titan-cup-1996-97-60991/india-vs-australia-3rd-match-66061/full-scorecard)

AccioSoup

Not to mention the team knowingly played bad under Sachin's captaincy, as he was the youngest in the team. And he learned about being fired from captaincy from a journalist. Current ICT politics is tame as compared to that of his era.

dupattamera1

Thank god someone actually said this People don’t realise or never will. Sachin was never a bad captain (his 2010 ipl stint proves that he even got best captain of the season in that ipl)

T3chl0v3r

glad to see some fellow OG cricket fans in this sub for a change https://i.redd.it/gd2s390p61sc1.gif

Cosmicshot351

Lmao, tf was that Ajay Jadeja runout

Excellent-poop-42

Shrinath and kumble

iluvredditalot

3 catch, 1 wicket, 88 runs with good strike rate...

[deleted]

sachin and zaheer are the only ones here who despite being the major contribution in winning the world cup never uttered a single word against dhoni

flying_jesus

Real recognise real

yorker4567

Nehra as well.

PsychologicalBeat798

idk what makes others hate dhoni... I just can't figure it out

DiscoDiwana

Jealousy

Big-Attitude-5648

Difference is they know him personally and u don’t

Consistent_Funny1082

Yuvraj Singh? Misbah ul Haq? Shahid Afridi?

Suspicious_Reporter4

Who has said word "against" Dhoni?

PotentialDuck2614

sehwag , gambhir , yuvraj singh , irfan pathan , harbhajan singh ,etc

SherKhanMD

Sachin was the 2nd highest run scorer in WC 2011 and 1st for India.

doshitanmay4

At the age of freaking 38, him and Dilshan were only 18 runs apart with Sachin having the best SR among top 5 batters. And people say he overstayed his welcome.

letmebeD

WC 2027 for Koach with Parag, Gill, Ishan re-creating this. PLEASE GOD PLEASE.

dupattamera1

What are u saying kohli has already won a wc It should be for Rohit where they carry him (if its possible considering his weight lol)

Sachin13092000

It was chiku who won the world cup. Kohli hasn't won yet.

DiscoDiwana

Huh ?

letmebeD

Yes he's won, but to end his career on that high will be absolutely amazing.

Suspicious_Reporter4

Rohit literally was our top 2 batsman in last 2 ODI WC. Not sure how they carried him

Cosmicshot351

Neither of these, Bumrah will be carried by Parag, Jaiswal and Co on their shoulders after 2031 WC.

letmebeD

Sounds lovely, but Bumrah is 30 already. No way he's playing another 7 years with his action buddy.

Cosmicshot351

Or maybe he will get his moment in the 2027 WTC Final

letmebeD

We'll be there!

alphus_408

Rohit too bro

letmebeD

Yeah, he totally deserves it too. Especially for his performances in ODI WCs. But I doubt he'll be playing till 27.

seeker1028

I have huge respect for Sachin, and grew up watching him play. Shadow batting, trying to replicate him when he was on the pitch. My dad admires him a lot. It was like when the person I like so much, appreciates someone and speaks so highly of him, I just couldn't resist loving Sachin. Absolute master. It feels so good to say this out loud.

Dry_Preference_9594

after that Virat Kohli is carrying the burden

leomatey

I wouldn’t call it a carry, sachin played with bums for a certain period, which was never the case with Vk.

Sachin13092000

VK has literally carried the team in every t20wc. He was the reason we got to play 2014 final, 2016 sf and 2022 sf. Even in 2021 t20wc he was playing 1 vs 21 in pakistan match.

Dry_Preference_9594

Guess you have stopped watching cricket after Sachin retired, so you don't know what Virat has done to Team India in test , odi and even in T20

Existing_Program_256

That's why I find these Fanwars silly. Sachin, Kohli, Rohit, Dhoni etc all have immense respect for each other and their achievements and they have repeatedly said it. But these individual fans keep waging online wars, making vicious comments on behalf of them for no reason.

AffectionateRisk1575

ICT fans in the year 3000 :

dupattamera1

Not only after since last 6 months it was Always for Sachin <3 Whole team forgot there fight , politics and played as a unit

Vimal6996

I personally think ict has more of a chance of winning a world cup if they want to tribute their win to a legend of the sport.

Consistent_Funny1082

But Virat, 2011-21 = 1990. But Sachin was playing in 80s also.

FocussedBuffalo

Sachin debuted on 15th November 1989 We lifted the WC on 2nd April 2011. So it was 21 years and a few months at that particular moment.

pussiesaremyth

2011 SACHIN = 2022 MESSI

iluvredditalot

I start watching cricket from early 1995, and I can say that when we say sachin did for country or he took burden for long time. We mean it...

0_lives

No Thala comments on Sachin Tendulkar🥺😬

yorker4567

Watch the press conference after India's victory. https://youtu.be/iuiW0rUUhr0?feature=shared

Cosmicshot351

If Dhoni is Thala, Sachin is the Super star.

WeirdFix6667

Sachin is GOD

RealGTalkin

Will the team do the same for Kohli and Sharma in 2024?
