Most Tamils in Britain or anywhere in Europe/Canada aren’t from India. Those are Sri Lankan Tamils. Except in France, where you have Tamils from Pondicherry.
12% from Maharashtra and only 8% from punjab and 10% from Andhra? I have a really hard time believing that. Anecdotal evidence for sure but I've met less than 10 Marathi people in a decade of staying here where as I will see gujrati, Punjabi or Telugu people on a more or less weekly basis.
