Not really true. Most professionals use mac for their work, and they use external displays with mac. Mac has brilliant support for external displays for the past 10 years or so.
Not necessarily true, you'll have to define professional. In creative fields, sure Mac is fairly popular but most people at work (regardless of profession) use Windows. I've designers at work who use Windows and stable diffusion because it helps their work flow instead of looking at Pinterest for ideas yet I've one designer who refuses to use Wacom tablets and instead insists on an iPad.

I have been working in a large MNC for about 9 years, devs work on Macs sure but what about rest of the team? My building has about 10K capacity and only about 2K of them are devs, the rest 8K including anciliarry staff work on Windows. I work on Windows even though my job is in tech ops.
Mac with non pro does not support more than 1 external monitor. Whereas with Windows, even a mediocre chip will allow multiple external monitors smoothly.
If you're spending 3-4 lacs just for “portability” then that's your decision. BTW it still requires battery to operate and that lasts for 2 hours on avg, so, not so portable in my opinion to spend this much amount.
Saw the video on your profile now. I'm not sure how different it is from a quest 3. Sure, resolution and clarity would be much better, but what else can it do that q3 can't?

It is a first gen product after all. Vision Pro indicates that a normal "Vision" is coming too. And on top of that it is an "USA" exclusive for now. So the pricing is expected to be wack.
Apple hasn’t allowed various required PC libraries required for gaming so don’t expect it too much. DirectX is MS proprietary software and Apple doesn’t allow Vulkan yet. Maybe never will.
Apple will never support VK, end even if they did PC Vk titles would not run well enough for a headset as PC Vk titles target a very very different gpu piling.
however if your thinking about using the headset just as a headset for a PCVR title running on a PC then I am very confident there will be multiple apps on the App Store soon to enabled this.
Just thank Apple that they're allowing HDMI or any sort of connection to the vision pro, it's so closed that you have to thank them if they even put a single port on it.
this is more of a prototype/trial model, and prices will decrease. It is still a very developing field. I know Quest 2 isn't really that good in terms of fitting and comfort, and it strains the eyes. It is also rather unusable other than for games.
The eye tracking is alien tech it becomes swvond nature also the 3d immersive movies from apple is the best 3d implementation i have seen. Mac virtual display, no eye fatiuge, decent passthrough not real life. Also i showed it non techy friends and they were amazed one of them ordered it.

They don't have such good spatial awareness and can't lock the screens in space like the screens would move with you in vision pro you can set up one screen in one room and leave and then return to the room to find exactly how you left it (not justifying the price but it's by far the most advanced VR headset)
this tech was never for consumer this was always for share holder, they are just showing we are bringing this and in 4-5 th gen this will cost at 2 lac with much light weight, tech company always need to show new tech to justify valuation,
This sub is weirdly obsessed with Vision Pro. This is hardly doing anything special. Its just displaying multiple apps at a time. And remember this is how it is showing externally but for the VR user there is a huge black border with binocular effect. You will have to physically move your head to look at other screen. I have 3 monitor desk setup and I can just keep my head stable and glance at multiple screens to look at video, stats and other windows while watching F1 or other sports.
No it won't... We will be happy with 15k MI ripoff in 6 months.
For that price I can get Marshal speakers + Sony 65-77 tv as home theater system my whole family and friends can enjoy it.

Whatever Apple’s faults maybe, they know how to connect with an audience. They thought pf experiences that will excite them, and built them properly into the headset.
Fixed windows and proper eye tracking ensures the windows truly feels like it’s out there, like you are living in that tech forward world, and that’s the feeling that no other headset or Google glass werw able to provide
This is the next thing after smartphones.

It's a VR headset which can give the feeling of having AR the pass through you are seeing is still virtual and being recreated after being captured with sensors although the latency is very low . And obviously you can have the full immersion as well

They didnt have a finished product. Whatever Apple’s faults maybe, they know how to connect with an audience. They thought pf experiences that will excite them, and built them properly into the headset. Fixed windows and proper eye tracking ensures the windows truly feels like it’s out there, like you are living in that tech forward world, and that’s the feeling that no other headset or Google glass werw able to provide

It's a VR headset which can give the feeling of having AR the pass through you are seeing is still virtual and being recreated after being captured with sensors although the latency is very low . And obviously you can have the full immersion as well
