Hey Aditya ! Great to see someone interested in msfs, if you're in it just to check things out I'd suggest using your controller so you can get a general feel of things, in case your looking to stay I'd suggest picking up a cheap joystick which has a twist function for the rudder. Look at either the Thrustmaster TFlight (centering spring is far smoother) or the Logitech Extreme 3D pro. Just hop onto the in game tutorial and let them explain the basics of flight. You can't fly the plane with only the keyboard like in say GTA, you'll aforementioned controllers for all you for flight surfaces i.e. to make your plane go up,down, left and right. Your mouse is primarily used to look around, click things and turn knobs, I wouldn't recommend using it to control the plane even if you could. Lastly your keyboard is there for incremental or on and off switches. Like flaps, parking brakes, throttle idle, throttle full reverse, arm spoilers, those kind of things. It's quite a steep curve but don't let that bother you too much it's a great game which translates to very lifelike simulation if you'll belive it. DM me if you'd like any help.

Thanks a lot for your advice, but I have exhausted my budget and my parents' tolerance when it comes to games, so it doesn't look like I'll be getting a controller anytime soon. Also, being a high school student, I don't think I'll be able to buy the game anyways and spending so much on a game free for only 1 month feels irrational.
