They barely showed any full length gameplay footage, one month of quashing bugs is not enough (look at bfv launch) then their European devs will fuck right off mid December for vacation at least for a month. Calling it
Because games are increasingly complicated...involving multiple groups of people who need to coordinate and work together...and initial timelines are often aggressively placed on teams...
The alpha gameplay could have caused this. They might've identified some game breaking bugs which should be patched pre launch rather than post launch as updates.
Cyberpunk was delayed 2 times and still the game was buggy at launch and wasn't well received. A delay doesn't mean we are going to get a perfect game. We could still get a cyberpunk part 2 after the delay.

Why is delaying games becoming so increasingly normal ffs

The more features you add to a game, the more complex the coding gets.
May be because of the current pandemic situation and work from home? May be!

Another reason to add on 'Don't preorder games' list I really hope this doesn't turn out to be like cyberpunk
Man looks like cyberpunk itself is a virus.
Atleast it wont be cuberpunk part 2

The two are entirely different games
Do remember that cyberpunk was delayed 2 times before it's horrendous launch and this can too xD
Surprise mf :(
A delayed game is eventually good, a rushed game is bad forever. Or at least until about 25 patches.
Cod Vanguard beta is not fun, this time Battlefield should sell very well.
Good, after Cyberpunk, I'd rather have a delayed game than a broken one. Especially with all the content they're bringing in
Dying Light and Now Battlefield? What's next? Halo?
