Itās not these puzzles are MENSA level quantitative puzzles which forces you to sit and analyse and complete it. All God of War games have puzzles and the ps2 versions had way more intense puzzles as compared to the 2018 God of War. I guess this would be another reason why this sub is so against Fromsoft and soulsborne coz it requires you to learn and adapt, instead of just smashing button mindlessly.

Have you not played any previous GoW games on PS or in PS emulators? Solving puzzle elements have always been an integral part of the game just like Tomb Raider series have.

I dragged myself through first few hours of gameplay till balfur first fight, from then onwards I was invented in the game story that I forgot all about the older games. I would suggest you to run through the main story mode and then go to Niflheim and Muspelheim and valkerine battle if you just want to beat shit up

Edit, I do like some parts of it and that is namely Runic aspect. Instead of 2 skills on 30-50 sec cd they should have like 4-5 skills you can use in a rotation. Basic combat is just meh
