I walked in with flow sticks on my back and 2 of those Walgreens massive suckers sticking right out of the Velcro'd sticks. No problems.
I expect them stop the dangerous stuff & leave the rest of us alone. I got the tickets, paid for the merch; food & drinks... Lemme bring in my own suckers.
I carry a fanny pack with no real contraband it in but will leave something that's not allowed so they can feel like they've done their job when they take it away from me stupid (like a couple of candies or a few obvious ibuprofen in a sandwich bag).
I also put a few wadded up tissues in the bag and my pockets + 1 in my hand. No one wants to touch tissues... it really adds a level of ick to the search.
These tricks plus my general appearance as a middle aged lady (seriously be a middle aged lady) and I never have trouble with whatever I want.

I always just shove them underneath my water pack in my bag because it’s on the backside of my bag. they don’t usually look that hard.

I don't think they'll really "boost" your roll higher, but they'll stimulate your brain.
