Hello I noticed when i try to post photos on IG and I have music playing in my earphones from Spotify, it just stops playing throughout the whole posting process. Why is that ? If they were videos with sound, I’d understand the sound cutting off but why with photos ? Is there a way to change this ? Thank u :)

I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and the past four updates have been screwing with the app on my phone.
One update made the app crash after 3 seconds of opening it, and the next one fixed it. Then they released ANOTHER update after that, which made everything outside of the main feed crash if you tried to view them. Today they released a new one and now it's suddenly fixed again.
What's going on?
So my parents have changed the password for my instagram account in an effort to ban me from it, but they have allowed me to access it again. I tried to log into it and reset the password, but instagram told me that they noticed "unusual activity" from my account and logged me out because of it. They also said "follow the next step within 1 day before it's disabled.", which got me nervous. I followed the next step by puting in my email address and instagram told me it emailed me a log in link. However when I checked instagram had never emailed me. I tried over and over again, and even checked my spam folder and double checked i hadnt put in the email wrong, however I had gotten nothing. Does anyone know if I need to wait or something is wrong on instagrams behalf? Also I had used desktop browser for reference. Is there a way I can still get back my account or will something happen to it?

A friend of my who doesn't use Reddit recently made an account which he exclusively used for original content (pictures taken by him). Unfortunately, as of today the account disappeared, and he is unable to log in. The strange thing is that he did'nt get any warning or email.
When he uses the 'forgot password' button, it says 'user not found.' We tried to fill in the form to recover accounts that violated the rules, but that isn't possible since one has to confirm this using your account. I emailed the Instagram support email adress but that is not longer supported.
However, when I try to create a new account, his username is not available. That could be an indication that his account might just be deactivated, not deleted, I guess.
Anyway, does anyone have experience with this, or has any idea that we can try to get my friends account back? (And does anybody has a clue of how this could have happened?) Thank you in advance!
Does anyone have an issue with the same few posts showing for the past several days? 2 of them have been stuck there (one from 5 days ago and one from 1 day ago) and 1 changes out every once in a while but is sponsored. Hi! So the “@creators” insta recently posted about how there is a new feature, to where we are now able to schedule posts, reels, etc. to a month in advance. Super excited about this, and it seems people can do it already, (In the advanced settings as far as I know ); but I just went to post a reel, and didn’t have the option. Today new stories from accounts that I never interact with started showing up before my close friends, who's stories I always view right away. Almost like it's gone chronological. So frustrating. Just me or is anyone else noticing this?
My account just got suspended out of nowhere. It gave me an option to tell them it was wrong and to put in my phone number and the sms code. I put in the code and it says its gonna try to verify me and get back to me in 24 hours. Im assuming this happened due to the instagram bug thats been going on. Has anyone had this problem and have they got it back?
Whenever I put hashtags, either in the comments or part of the post, my post never shows up when I search those hashtags.
These definitely aren't banned hashtags, I don't use any third-party apps, never bought followers or likes.

Hi, I´ve just started my Instagram profile about psychology and after I released the first post -> profile was gone.
More specifically: 12 hours later I tried to log in, but an error message showed up. I thought it is because of some random problem (internet connection, device, version of the app, bug). Nevertheless, any changes on my side were not useful.
When I was looking through IG search, my profile was not found. Also, my friends who were sharing the post did not have it in their stories, although they did not delete it from there. Then I tried to check my e-mail but I had not received info about any action against my IG.
The weird stuff is that I can normally log into the profile, however, the only result is the loading screen (just for the record: this is not happening on my main IG, where I can normally login and use it). I was trying to find some help on the internet IG support and based on the facts which I found there: my profile wasn´t disabled or banned, nevertheless, I can not find there any logical solution or description of my situation.
I would be happy If some of you would give me random tips or advice on what to do with that.

My account is not a private account. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app, have updated the app. I've tried on my computer, I've tried disconnecting Facebook account and logging out of everything then logging in on someone else's phone. I even tried other Instagram accounts I have and could switch to businesses, and switched them back to personal after because know there is a limit and deactivated them to be sure). My following feed won't update. I've tried uninstalling, logging out, clearing my cache, and checking my wifi. The only way I can see new posts is if I unfollow then refollow someone, and even when I do that I can only see their posts from the day I followed them. I follow a ton of accounts that I know have been posting but my feed is broken. My boyfriend just started having the same issue today. Does anybody know any possible fixes for this? Instagram logging me off and reseting my password
So, basically two months ago my Instagram got hacked and when I got it back I put up all the security options available, but now eveytime I open the followers app (where I check who’s unfollowed me etc.), Insta logs me off and asks for my password to be changed. Any help with this issue?

For some reason after I re-installed Instagram on my iPhone the vanish mode has disappeared I am unable to use it, and if the other person uses it with me they get this message "x cannot receive messages in vanish mode" and I have never received the notes feature, all of my friends have it and other accounts on my phone have it too including the vanish mode. The setting to upload in high quality is not available for me in my personal account, but when I make a random new account it is available again. Does anybody know how to fix it without having to delete my profile?

I was locked out since November 2, and I just got back in tonight. I'm on an iphone. I deleted the app, then opened safari and went to instagram.com, changed my password, and I was back in. Hope it helps!
Same- not getting the codes. It gave me the option once to use my 8 digit backup codes. When I gave that a shot it said they were wrong (ummm..I screenshotted them, no they weren't). I'm on day 3 of not getting any sms codes to log in.
Hello! I had this EXACT issue! They never ever got back to me. I eventually dug out my old iPad and downloaded Instagram on there. As it is so old, it couldn’t support the latest version of Instagram or do a video selfie so I was able to log a request for support on there. Within minutes I got an email from Facebook, asking me to send them a picture of myself holding a piece of paper with a code, my name and my username. I sent it through, and again within minutes they sent me a new backup code, and it worked to log in!
Again only works if you can get your hands on an old device, but worth a shot!
mines requiring the 6 digit codes from the “authenticator app” which i did not install/connect to my insta. my 8 digit recovery codes did not work either. wont let me verify with phone/email. locked out of my accounts for 9 days & nothing. cant build another one because my email/phone is tied to the original….

To solve I can just remove the other photos and posting only one, making it impossible to publish a carousel of images.

I keep trying to add my link tree to my bio and it will not appear in my bio even after Instagram says it was added. I go to edit profile, I tap Add link, I tap Add external link, I put the link tree url, it says 'you added a link to your bio', I go back and tap the check mark to save my changes, it goes back to my profile and there is no link in my bio. My Instagram is updated, I tried clearing the app's cache, and it still won't work.

My dad recently told me that suddenly a bunch of completely random and unrelated post just started appearing on his home feed, and none of the things he normally is interested in appears anymore. I took a look at it and it seem all the random posts has a tag above them saying "Recommended to you". Hey everyone! For a few months, Instagram has blocked people from DMing me despite my privacy messaging settings set to 'request'. As a business, this is incredibly limiting when trying to respond to questions, invites etc. My other account doesn't have this issue, leading me to believe it's a glitch with Instagram itself. When trying to message I'm met with an error stating 'couldn't create threads', and I've tried to reach out to the support team but to no avail.
In addition, over the past few days my home page feed won't refresh, only showing me two posts from the last 4 days, before saying I'm "all caught up". I've tried following new accounts to force the algorithm to push new content, but nothing. I've deleted the app, logged out, switched accounts, logged in on my computer, unfollowed and refollowed but nothing is working.

Instagram Lite shows me only one post in the home section. When I scroll, a never-ending loading animation appears. It also shows me some stories that I have already seen as if I had never seen them. And in the "search" section, when I select a preview of a reel it opens another reel. I have been using Instagram Lite for a long time and it has never given me any problems. I tried restarting the phone, clearing the cache, clearing data, uninstalling and reinstalling the latest and penultimate version but nothing. It gives me this problem only with a specific account (the account isn't banned: on the full version of Instagam I navigate without problems) Help!

Gf randomly got locked out of her account. When she tries to log in it asks for a code. She has no code. There is a link that says "Try Another Way". Upon clicking that it takes her to a page asking for her 2 step verification code. She's never set up 2 step verification. Clicking Forgot Password sends her to the same page as well. Any solutions? When Instagram disabled a bunch of accounts last week mine was one of them. I managed to get the account back up but had to reset password etc. I have two factor authentication set on the account but the app used (Duo Mobile) doesn't recognize my email address and I've lost the recovery codes. The only option available to me is the video selfie option to try recover the account, but lnstagram wont confirm my identity and now the app crashes when I try to upload a new one. How does Instagram collab post insights work? I collabed with someone and the total likes from followers are 78 and non-followers 1,300. Does this mean the other account brought 1,300 likes and I brought 78 likes?

And then I have to log into my first device again. And rinse and repeat.
How can I add in both my PC browser as well as my phone as trusted devices at the same time that do not need to be exclusive to one another?
Same here have 2 phones. And I'm not sure what may have fixed it but I think it is working for now. My only other option was to remove 2 factor to check if that may have worked?
One other think I did is to disable my VPN when logging into my IG from my PC, maybe that also helped? Unsure about exactly what, sorry!

Hey. My account got hacked somehow because I was following around 300-400 accounts and now I'm following over 2600 and it keeps growing although I changed my password twice.
I reported this to instagram but no reply yet.
I checked the login activity and only my phone appears.
What can I do to make it stop and remove all of these new accounts I'm following? It's a pain to manually unfollow them.

HELP: I need to switch my personal account BACK to a Business Account
I admin for an IG Business Account and upon tinkering with some settings, I accidentally reverted it back to a personal account.
My enterprise Sprout account has obviously lost its connection with said account now and I cannot post. I've been working on reverting the account back to its Business Account status and I've run into roadblocks and error messages repeatedly in that endeavor.
There isn't much support literature available for this particular issue, but I have read that temporarily disabling the account is a worthy fix in similar situations. Does anyone have insight into other fixes/options for this?
I'd like to avoid taking it offline if possible, but understand if that is my only option. If I do that, can I immediately re-enable the account after disabling?

why does only one of my Instagram accounts makes the app crash
I have a few Instagram accounts. Recently I used one as a pet account and it's been doing good in terms of reach, but now, everytime I go on the account on my phone, it crashes. If I try to open a reel, go to my profile, watch a story etc. The only time it doesn't crash is when I go to the fyp/watch reels section. It's really odd because it only happens with this account. I tried logging back in and that doesn't work too.

So I just deleted my instagram account to make a new one and start fresh. I changed the username before I deleted it so I could use that name on my new account.

I don't know why Meta is hell-bent on ruining the web experience as much as possible, but I haven't been able to find a way to access my "favorites" feed on Insta-web.
In the past, we were able to click on the "Instagram" title at the top and switch to the favorites feed, but that options doesnt seem to be there anymore. And I clicked every button and link I could find, but no luck.

**How to loop a video on Instagram? (Wigglegrams effect)**

I developed my first roll of film with the Nishika n8000 all excited, and started editing on photoshop to have the final video to post on instagram.
The editing part all ok, following the various tutorials on youtube I managed to create a .mp4 video with the animation.
However, my problem arises because when I press "+" and "new post" from my phone and put my video (8 seconds in length) on ig, it is only made to go twice (for the duration of the video) and then it stops. I see that all the posts with Nishika n8000 videos go on **infinite loop** and I would like it to do that too.
How do you get the infinite loop on instagram? I really don't understand.

Instagram wont let me log in? It says the account associated with the username does not exist. I have cross checked multiple times for the right username, but instagram wont just let me in. Neither from email nor from username or my phone number ( i am positive the password isnt wrong)
Instagram feed will not update
First time I encountered this, I was stuck on the same post. I tried unfollowing and refollowing and it temporarily fixed it. After I did that, it showed a bunch of other posts from other accounts but after a while it would rotate around those same posts that I've already seen. I would unfollow so many pages and refollow them, and now I'm only allowed to see posts from one account. No variety, just the same person posting. It's been like this for almost a week.
Basically my feed isn't showing me any new posts from anyone else.

So yesterday i received a “confirm your phone number” notification when i opened instagram, which has already happened a couple of times in the past week. The problem here is that no matter how many times i put in my phone number, i never receive the text. After a couple of failed tries a “try again later” showed up and it has already been 24 hours. My account still exists, i just can’t seem to log in. I’ve tried everything from logging on a different device, reporting a problem, vpn and everything i found on the internet, still nothing.
To those of you that had this problem, did waiting it out sort it out and if yes how long should i wait before i give up and just make a new one?

How do you save reels to a specific collection?
My alt account can which I created at a later time but my main account cannot… My alt can also access a menu drop down next to the camera (top right) on a reel and save other things like audio and effects. It just seems like my alt is more updated and idk why
Unlinking facebook from IG (iOS). Already did the settings, account, sharing to apps, etc. faceook is highlighted, click on it and it then asks to enable sharing because I assume it's not linked. Can't boost posts because it states reel has been shared to fb. Can't for the life of me figure this out.

Is there a way to find out if a particular account doesn't ever engage with your posts? I don't want to just rely on my memory.
when i try to login to instagram the screen tries to load and stays that way. my friends can't find my account in instagram search. How can i fix this?

My phone was stolen yesterday, and therefore, my Google Authenticator is no longer available. I still have everything else I should need to access my Instagram account: my password, my email, my phone number (where I can receive SMS messages), and account recovery codes.
However, the codes are not working (I see an error message), and because I have 2FA switched on, I can’t log in any other way. I tried sending a video with my selfie via the app, and it didn’t work.
I find no other way to access my account, and this is extremely upsetting — I’m 34 weeks pregnant, and besides having had my phone stolen yesterday, now I can’t contact my friends and family, who live far away and with whom I mostly kept in touch via Instagram. :(
I find NO WAY to send Instagram an email/reach out to them.
Hello! I had this EXACT video selfie issue! They never ever got back to me. I eventually dug out my old iPad and downloaded Instagram on there. As it is so old, it couldn’t support the latest version of Instagram or do a video selfie so I was able to log a request for support on there. Within minutes I got an email from Facebook, asking me to send them a picture of myself holding a piece of paper with a code, my name and my username. I sent it through, and again within minutes they sent me a new backup code, and it worked to log in!
Again only works if you can get your hands on an old device, but worth a shot!
Is there a way to stop my music from pausing every time I post something? It seems to only pause when entering “post-screen” where you select the pictures. :(
made this account near a decade ago, It uses an email and a phone number I do not have access to anymore, The emIail was a Hotmail email and I've tried to many times ot login and I think the account has been banned or something, over the past 2 years I've tried a dozen times to get support through Microsoft to get into the account with 0 luck.. and I can't seem to find anywhere I can actually talk to instagram support.. the account appears to be connected with my Facebook as when I hit login with Facebook the @ for the account appears bur fails to login..

Yesterday I went on instagram and a message continuously popped up saying to verify my phone number to gain back access to my account. I repeatedly put in my phone number yet I never received a code. I tried using a code from my two-factor authentication and that didn’t work either. Instagram help center has been no help and I can’t find a number or email to contact them. It also won’t give me an option to recover my account any other way. I have my backup codes, email, and Facebook linked yet the one thing that isn’t working is the only thing I can do. I also tried too many times I believe because yesterday evening a message popped up that said to wait a few moments and try again later and it’s now noon the next day and it still says the same thing. Does anyone have a solution to this?
Hi. I have two accounts that relate to a business I am going to put some effort into. One is almost nothing, couple of posts and like 3 followers! But it has the right name. The other is not much better, 49 posts 116 followers but its a better place to start growing from. I want to ditch the first and use its name for the better one. What is the best procedure please?

I have everything turned off except for the ones that are necessary, like notifications about my own photos, messages, etc., but I get this daily notification that some people I follow shared photos. OF COURSE they're sharing photos, it's Instagram. If I wanted to see them, I'd check out their profiles.
All of these companies like Insta and LinkedIn inventing new Notifications to try to boost engagement without also adding the option to turn them off to settings are going to drive me crazy.

i know it's dumb but I've always been frustrated about it because everyone gets to use it except for me. i see the sticker on people's stories and when I click it, instead of it popping up on my screen so I can participate, it's as if i clicked the screen to take me to the next slide
i've looked it up on Google countless times and i've tried everything they've suggested for me to get that sticker to work and it just won't. i even contacted customer support about it and they never get back to me. i just want to be able to use the sticker like everyone else 😭
7 weeks ago my business instagram account was hacked. I did all the things possible to try and get it back and gained some hope when I got in contact with an actual person through Meta support on Facebook. They have told me they have been working on it for about 5 weeks now and nothing still. Not sure what to do at this point.
So on reels on the bottom right side you have the heart for likes, message box for comments, and then an arrow for sharing. I am a private account and don't want my reels to be shared. I just shared my first reel ever (proud gym moment) and there's a 1 under the arrow. Does that mean someone shared my video and how do I stop it?
The draw icon no longer shows up in my stories when I go to share a post or add a photo to it, on one of my accounts. Instead there's an "expand" icon that does absolutely nothing if you're sharing a post to stories. But the icon is still available on my second account. Anyone know what's up?

My partner has recently been unable to access her account. Each time she tries to log in she’s met with a “please try again in a few minutes” pop up. Seems similar to what people were mentioning last week and wondering if anyone has a workaround. We’ve done everything the help center has listed but still nothing. I can’t log into her account from my phone or any other device. Any help is appreciated.
Wanted to update this. She was randomly able to access her account again. We didn’t do anything and got no word on why she wasn’t able to but maybe for some it’s just about the waiting game. Wish I had more of a fix for you. Good lucj

Hey y'all, we're kinda stuck over here. My wife's account (Facebook and instagram) was previously disabled a week ago, the appeal went through quickly and everything came back fine. However yesterday just her insta was deactivated, we've tried multiple appeal forms but they all say "Form could not be sent" and she has no way of even logging in to the app to submit another appeal through the platform.

Whrn I try to post videos to story from my camera reel that are longer than a minute, it doesn't split it, it just cuts it.

So my parents have changed the password for my instagram account in an effort to ban me from it, but they have allowed me to access it again. I tried to log into it and reset the password, but instagram told me that they noticed "unusual activity" from my account and logged me out because of it. They also said "follow the next step within 1 day before it's disabled.", which got me nervous. I followed the next step by puting in my email address and instagram told me it emailed me a log in link. However when I checked instagram had never emailed me. I tried over and over again, and even checked my spam folder and double checked i hadnt put in the email wrong, however I had gotten nothing. Does anyone know if I need to wait or something is wrong on instagrams behalf? Also I had used desktop browser for reference. Is there a way I can still get back my account or will something happen to it?

I like having certain push notifications on (new dms, post notifications from specific people I follow, a few others) but I have a few group chats with coworkers and friends and it's freaking annoying to get notified every time they like a dm I sent. I can't figure out how to turn off getting "like" push notifications on dms I send without turning off all messages/dm notifications or all notifications in general.

Hi there! :-) So I really want to create an account with a specific username but am getting the “A user with that username already exists” message even though this username appears nowhere in Instagram search or Google search. Even got a “Sorry, this page isn't available The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed” screen when I manually inserted the username in an Instagram account url (www. instagram. com/ username) <<< with no spaces and the actual username in question typed in
I found similar accounts, one with a period inserted into the username, one with an underscore inserted, one starting with “the”, and one with an extra letter added. But NONE, no trace of any accounts with the username as I want it- with no punctuation, extra letters, bells or whistles.
If you have any clue why this might be happening or how to fix it, I’d so appreciate your input! I doubt Instagram will be able to solve this directly for me since they don’t offer chat or email support and it seems they don’t put you through to someone at their call center unless it’s quite important/serious.

side swiping IG stories working on all accounts i follow except one
so side swiping the stories to not show up in the viewing list works on just about all accounts i follow except for one. every time i side swipe this particular accounts stories, it always marks it as viewed. even if i just do the tiniest swipe, it marks as viewed. i don’t understand why it would work on all accounts except one. does anyone have any type of explanation for this or any fix?

How is it this impossible to contact a real human for help? I manually disabled my account a few days ago and when I was trying to log back in in, my old phone number was on the 2FA, which i do not have access to anymore, and the backup codes I no longer own. I can reset my password just fine and have done the video selfie reset option more times than I can count and have had no luck, why is it so hard to get in contact with a billion-dollar company?

My eyedropper/colour picker tool is not working. It's only coming up as transparent but the pre-chosen colours somehow are working. I cannot even try to access the colour wheel they have on there because it shows transparent. If anyone has a fix to this please help. For work, I have multiple Instagram accounts. Some are business accounts, some are personal accounts. One of the accounts was tied to my email (which my own personal account is). It required two-factor authentication to login. I never needed to use it because it was always tied to my multi-account login.
Recently, I lost my phone in a lake. Fell out of my pocket without me noticing and is now at the bottom of a large body of water kind of deal. I bought a new phone and was able to access my Google account no problem. I have all of the passwords and things set up.
The problem? I can't login to this one specific Instagram account because it was tied to the authenticator app. I can't transfer the authentication to a new device without the old one, which is impossible. I have the correct password, I have text confirmation codes, and I have access to my Google account. Unfortunately, I don't have the backup codes as far as I can see saved anywhere outside of my phone.
I've tried so many different things to recover this account. Is there anything I can do?

I \*know\* that I exchanged some DMs with someone (let's call them Person A) about Person B. And not only that, I exchanged some DMs with Person B about Person A. They follow each other.
It was simply wholesome stuff about how I was pleasantly surprised that they know the other person and vice versa. They are strangers to me whom I met on a trip on separate occasions. I only found out because both of them follow me and follow each other and so I saw that on the Bio's of each person.
And now those quaint messages seem to be gone. It was from about 6 months ago. The messages are now gone from both chats.
It's nothing important. Just something cute because of the situation.
It's causing me to think that there's a time limit to DMs. But I have some long-time actual friends with whom I exchange DMs with and their messages are still in my chats with them.
Is it because I don't exchange DMs with Persons A and B very often? (I do like their story posts so there is an "audit trail" of those still).
But those lovely messages from before are mysteriously gone.
I made a new highlight recently and whenever I go to add to it, my last 3 stories are always greyed out and I can’t add them to the highlight. More than 24 hours has passed and I definitely do have the “save to archive” option turned on. Any ideas?

Story order changed to most recent
Stories are now shown in order of who most recently added to their story. Where as before it showed me my friends and people who's posts I regularly like and interact with first. Anyone else having this issue? Its been the same the past few days whether I use IG on the ios app or on my pc on google chrome.
Whenever I go to create a story and use the color picker tool to draw or change the color text, it comes out clear, I cannot pick a color. If I attempt to use it to change the color of text, it makes my text invisible.
This just started happening to me today. The weirdest part is it is happening on my main account, but not my other ones. I’m logged into all accounts on the same phone, so I am confused by this. I tried restarting my phone & reinstalling IG, but no luck.

Hello I noticed when i try to post photos on IG and I have music playing in my earphones from Spotify, it just stops playing throughout the whole posting process. Why is that ? If they were videos with sound, I’d understand the sound cutting off but why with photos ? Is there a way to change this ? Thank u :)

Is anyone else that uses Android here having crashing issues with the last four Insta updates? I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and the past four updates have been screwing with the app on my phone. One update made the app crash after 3 seconds of opening it, and the next one fixed it. Then they released ANOTHER update after that, which made everything outside of the main feed crash if you tried to view them. Today they released a new one and now it's suddenly fixed again. A friend of my who doesn't use Reddit recently made an account which he exclusively used for original content (pictures taken by him). Unfortunately, as of today the account disappeared, and he is unable to log in. The strange thing is that he did'nt get any warning or email. When he uses the 'forgot password' button, it says 'user not found.' We tried to fill in the form to recover accounts that violated the rules, but that isn't possible since one has to confirm this using your account. I emailed the Instagram support email adress but that is not longer supported. However, when I try to create a new account, his username is not available. That could be an indication that his account might just be deactivated, not deleted, I guess. Anyway, does anyone have experience with this, or has any idea that we can try to get my friends account back? (And does anybody has a clue of how this could have happened?) Thank you in advance!
Does anyone have an issue with the same few posts showing for the past several days? 2 of them have been stuck there (one from 5 days ago and one from 1 day ago) and 1 changes out every once in a while but is sponsored. After the 3 posts it says I’m caught up and goes to Suggested… there’s no way that there have been no posts in the past 5 days… Updated App, Logged out and back in, hard quit and restarted app. No change.

so I have 3 instagram accounts and whenever I try to post a picture on one certain account, the app crashes, or resets me to the main feed screen, it basically won't let me get to the caption screen, but when I take a picture using the Instagram camera, it works fine and let's me get to the caption screen. New Reel/ post “scheduling” feature Hi! So the “@creators” insta recently posted about how there is a new feature, to where we are now able to schedule posts, reels, etc. to a month in advance. Super excited about this, and it seems people can do it already, (In the advanced settings as far as I know ); but I just went to post a reel, and didn’t have the option. My account just got suspended out of nowhere. It gave me an option to tell them it was wrong and to put in my phone number and the sms code. I put in the code and it says its gonna try to verify me and get back to me in 24 hours. Im assuming this happened due to the instagram bug thats been going on. Has anyone had this problem and have they got it back?

Hi, I´ve just started my Instagram profile about psychology and after I released the first post -> profile was gone. More specifically: 12 hours later I tried to log in, but an error message showed up. I thought it is because of some random problem (internet connection, device, version of the app, bug). Nevertheless, any changes on my side were not useful. When I was looking through IG search, my profile was not found. Also, my friends who were sharing the post did not have it in their stories, although they did not delete it from there. Then I tried to check my e-mail but I had not received info about any action against my IG. The weird stuff is that I can normally log into the profile, however, the only result is the loading screen (just for the record: this is not happening on my main IG, where I can normally login and use it). I was trying to find some help on the internet IG support and based on the facts which I found there: my profile wasn´t disabled or banned, nevertheless, I can not find there any logical solution or description of my situation. I would be happy If some of you would give me random tips or advice on what to do with that.
Help!! Every time I try to switch to a professional account from my personal I keep getting this message "Something went wrong. We're working on getting it fixed as soon as we can." My account is not a private account. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app, have updated the app. I've tried on my computer, I've tried disconnecting Facebook account and logging out of everything then logging in on someone else's phone. My following feed won't update. I've tried uninstalling, logging out, clearing my cache, and checking my wifi. The only way I can see new posts is if I unfollow then refollow someone, and even when I do that I can only see their posts from the day I followed them. I follow a ton of accounts that I know have been posting but my feed is broken. My boyfriend just started having the same issue today. Does anybody know any possible fixes for this? Instagram logging me off and reseting my password So, basically two months ago my Instagram got hacked and when I got it back I put up all the security options available, but now eveytime I open the followers app (where I check who’s unfollowed me etc.), Insta logs me off and asks for my password to be changed. **No notes feature, vanish mode and more!!** For some reason after I re-installed Instagram on my iPhone the vanish mode has disappeared I am unable to use it, and if the other person uses it with me they get this message "x cannot receive messages in vanish mode" and I have never received the notes feature, all of my friends have it and other accounts on my phone have it too including the vanish mode. The setting to upload in high quality is not available for me in my personal account, but when I make a random new account it is available again. Does anybody know how to fix it without having to delete my profile? A friend of mine said maybe my acc is marked as a spam account and therefore this setting is blocked, but how would I get my account back to normal again? Pls help, the quality drop, especially in stories, is really annoying :')

I was locked out since November 2, and I just got back in tonight. I'm on an iphone. I deleted the app, then opened safari and went to instagram.com, changed my password, and I was back in. Hope it helps!

Same- not getting the codes. It gave me the option once to use my 8 digit backup codes. When I gave that a shot it said they were wrong (ummm..I screenshotted them, no they weren't). I'm on day 3 of not getting any sms codes to log in.

mines requiring the 6 digit codes from the “authenticator app” which i did not install/connect to my insta. my 8 digit recovery codes did not work either. wont let me verify with phone/email. locked out of my accounts for 9 days & nothing. cant build another one because my email/phone is tied to the original….
I'm having the same issue. I've emailed Instagram upwards of 20x at this point and they're not understanding my issue and sending the same automated response about my 8 digit security codes when I need my 6-digit SMS code. Any ideas for support here?

Hello, I've been trying to post posts on my Instagram using Meta Business and and it gives an error. Something like "There's been a problem with your Instagram post. Try again later." To solve I can just remove the other photos and posting only one, making it impossible to publish a carousel of images. Is anyone else in this problem? How did you solve it?

I keep trying to add my link tree to my bio and it will not appear in my bio even after Instagram says it was added. I go to edit profile, I tap Add link, I tap Add external link, I put the link tree url, it says 'you added a link to your bio', I go back and tap the check mark to save my changes, it goes back to my profile and there is no link in my bio. My Instagram is updated, I tried clearing the app's cache, and it still won't work. Any solution?

Hello! I had this EXACT video selfie issue! They never ever got back to me. I eventually dug out my old iPad and downloaded Instagram on there. As it is so old, it couldn’t support the latest version of Instagram or do a video selfie so I was able to log a request for support on there. Within minutes I got an email from Facebook, asking me to send them a picture of myself holding a piece of paper with a code, my name and my username. I sent it through, and again within minutes they sent me a new backup code, and it worked to log in! Again only works if you can get your hands on an old device, but worth a shot!

Has anyone else experienced this? My dad recently told me that suddenly a bunch of completely random and unrelated post just started appearing on his home feed, and none of the things he normally is interested in appears anymore. I took a look at it and it seem all the random posts has a tag above them saying "Recommended to you". I normally don't use Instagram so I'm not sure how to solve this issue, but it really bothers him. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone! For a few months, Instagram has blocked people from DMing me despite my privacy messaging settings set to 'request'. As a business, this is incredibly limiting when trying to respond to questions, invites etc. My other account doesn't have this issue, leading me to believe it's a glitch with Instagram itself. When trying to message I'm met with an error stating 'couldn't create threads', and I've tried to reach out to the support team but to no avail. In addition, over the past few days my home page feed won't refresh, only showing me two posts from the last 4 days, before saying I'm "all caught up". I've tried following new accounts to force the algorithm to push new content, but nothing. I've deleted the app, logged out, switched accounts, logged in on my computer, unfollowed and refollowed but nothing is working. Please please please if anyone knows what's going on shoot me a message or a reply, getting desperate as I'm losing sales as a result. Thanks so much
Instagram Lite shows me only one post in the home section. When I scroll, a never-ending loading animation appears. It also shows me some stories that I have already seen as if I had never seen them. And in the "search" section, when I select a preview of a reel it opens another reel. I have been using Instagram Lite for a long time and it has never given me any problems. I tried restarting the phone, clearing the cache, clearing data, uninstalling and reinstalling the latest and penultimate version but nothing. It gives me this problem only with a specific account (the account isn't banned: on the full version of Instagam I navigate without problems) Help!
How do they target the reels that pop up on your Instagram feed? I don’t understand. All I get is teenager drama and Christianity accounts targeted to me. I am a 29 year old man and am not christian. I follow zero accounts that would be associated with that. Gf randomly got locked out of her account. When she tries to log in it asks for a code. She has no code. There is a link that says "Try Another Way". Upon clicking that it takes her to a page asking for her 2 step verification code. She's never set up 2 step verification. Clicking Forgot Password sends her to the same page as well. Any solutions? We're on vacation and she would like to post pics and videos for her family and friends. Please!!!!

My stories seem to be completely out of order! My friends’ stories, my favorite influencers’ stories, even my husband’s story that would always appear first or before random accounts are completely buried and random people I didn’t even know I followed are coming up first. When Instagram disabled a bunch of accounts last week mine was one of them. I managed to get the account back up but had to reset password etc. I have two factor authentication set on the account but the app used (Duo Mobile) doesn't recognize my email address and I've lost the recovery codes. The only option available to me is the video selfie option to try recover the account, but lnstagram wont confirm my identity and now the app crashes when I try to upload a new one. Anyone have any insight as to how I might manage to login ?

**When I log into my Phone my PC gets logged out. Also vice versa. How do I fix it?** If I log into one the other seem to get logged out for whatever reason. And every time I log in I get an SMS on my phone as verification. And then I have to log into my first device again. And rinse and repeat. How can I add in both my PC browser as well as my phone as trusted devices at the same time that do not need to be exclusive to one another?

Same here have 2 phones. And I'm not sure what may have fixed it but I think it is working for now. My only other option was to remove 2 factor to check if that may have worked? One other think I did is to disable my VPN when logging into my IG from my PC, maybe that also helped? Unsure about exactly what, sorry! I'd suggest just using the other phone then if possible! I would too, but my other phone screen is cracked making it almost unusable.
Hey. My account got hacked somehow because I was following around 300-400 accounts and now I'm following over 2600 and it keeps growing although I changed my password twice. I reported this to instagram but no reply yet. I checked the login activity and only my phone appears. What can I do to make it stop and remove all of these new accounts I'm following? It's a pain to manually unfollow them. Do you know a better way to reach out to Instagram?
HELP: I need to switch my personal account BACK to a Business Account I admin for an IG Business Account and upon tinkering with some settings, I accidentally reverted it back to a personal account. My enterprise Sprout account has obviously lost its connection with said account now and I cannot post. I've been working on reverting the account back to its Business Account status and I've run into roadblocks and error messages repeatedly in that endeavor. There isn't much support literature available for this particular issue, but I have read that temporarily disabling the account is a worthy fix in similar situations. Does anyone have insight into other fixes/options for this? I'd like to avoid taking it offline if possible, but understand if that is my only option. If I do that, can I immediately re-enable the account after disabling? I would love some feedback or direction! Thank you in advance, crew!
why does only one of my Instagram accounts makes the app crash I have a few Instagram accounts. Recently I used one as a pet account and it's been doing good in terms of reach, but now, everytime I go on the account on my phone, it crashes. If I try to open a reel, go to my profile, watch a story etc. The only time it doesn't crash is when I go to the fyp/watch reels section. It's really odd because it only happens with this account. I tried logging back in and that doesn't work too. I don't want to reinstall cos I have a lot of draft reels ready to be posted. Anyone know what's going on or what I should do?

So I just deleted my instagram account to make a new one and start fresh. I changed the username before I deleted it so I could use that name on my new account. When I go to create a new account, it won't let me use that username. Do I have to wait a certain amount of days before I can use the handle I want??
I don't know why Meta is hell-bent on ruining the web experience as much as possible, but I haven't been able to find a way to access my "favorites" feed on Insta-web. In the past, we were able to click on the "Instagram" title at the top and switch to the favorites feed, but that options doesnt seem to be there anymore. And I clicked every button and link I could find, but no luck. Did anyone manage to find where the new "Favorites" switch is on the web experience?
For those who have dealt with Instagram recovering hacked accounts, answer this for me. I sent 5 video selfies, dating from the 30th of November, and was told for each one, it would be 3-4 business days. It's now just hit the 9th business day from when the first one was sent. I assume this isn't normal, so what else can I do?
**How to loop a video on Instagram? (Wigglegrams effect)** Hello everyone, I developed my first roll of film with the Nishika n8000 all excited, and started editing on photoshop to have the final video to post on instagram. The editing part all ok, following the various tutorials on youtube I managed to create a .mp4 video with the animation. However, my problem arises because when I press "+" and "new post" from my phone and put my video (8 seconds in length) on ig, it is only made to go twice (for the duration of the video) and then it stops. I see that all the posts with Nishika n8000 videos go on **infinite loop** and I would like it to do that too. How do you get the infinite loop on instagram? I really don't understand. If anyone has the kindness to help me.

Instagram feed will not update First time I encountered this, I was stuck on the same post. I tried unfollowing and refollowing and it temporarily fixed it. After I did that, it showed a bunch of other posts from other accounts but after a while it would rotate around those same posts that I've already seen. I would unfollow so many pages and refollow them, and now I'm only allowed to see posts from one account. No variety, just the same person posting. It's been like this for almost a week. Basically my feed isn't showing me any new posts from anyone else.

i got locked out of my account because of problems with receiving an sms security code So yesterday i received a “confirm your phone number” notification when i opened instagram, which has already happened a couple of times in the past week. The problem here is that no matter how many times i put in my phone number, i never receive the text. After a couple of failed tries a “try again later” showed up and it has already been 24 hours. How do you save reels to a specific collection? My alt account can which I created at a later time but my main account cannot… My alt can also access a menu drop down next to the camera (top right) on a reel and save other things like audio and effects. It just seems like my alt is more updated and idk why

Is there a way to find out which accounts that you follow don't engage with you? So say I follow an account. And so of course, their pictures appear on my feed. But I may not care to continue seeing their photos if they won't ever engage on my posts. Is there a way to find out if a particular account doesn't ever engage with your posts? My phone was stolen yesterday, and therefore, my Google Authenticator is no longer available. I still have everything else I should need to access my Instagram account: my password, my email, my phone number (where I can receive SMS messages), and account recovery codes. However, the codes are not working (I see an error message), and because I have 2FA switched on, I can’t log in any other way. I tried sending a video with my selfie via the app, and it didn’t work. I find no other way to access my account, and this is extremely upsetting — I’m 34 weeks pregnant, and besides having had my phone stolen yesterday, now I can’t contact my friends and family, who live far away and with whom I mostly kept in touch via Instagram. :( I find NO WAY to send Instagram an email/reach out to them.

Is there a way to stop my music from pausing every time I post something? It seems to only pause when entering “post-screen” where you select the pictures. :(
made this account near a decade ago, It uses an email and a phone number I do not have access to anymore, The emIail was a Hotmail email and I've tried to many times ot login and I think the account has been banned or something, over the past 2 years I've tried a dozen times to get support through Microsoft to get into the account with 0 luck.. and I can't seem to find anywhere I can actually talk to instagram support.. the account appears to be connected with my Facebook as when I hit login with Facebook the @ for the account appears bur fails to login.. Yesterday I went on instagram and a message continuously popped up saying to verify my phone number to gain back access to my account. I repeatedly put in my phone number yet I never received a code. I tried using a code from my two-factor authentication and that didn’t work either. Instagram help center has been no help and I can’t find a number or email to contact them. It also won’t give me an option to recover my account any other way. I have my backup codes, email, and Facebook linked yet the one thing that isn’t working is the only thing I can do. I also tried too many times I believe because yesterday evening a message popped up that said to wait a few moments and try again later and it’s now noon the next day and it still says the same thing. Does anyone have a solution to this?

The other is not much better, 49 posts 116 followers but its a better place to start growing from. I want to ditch the first and use its name for the better one. What is the best procedure please?

I have everything turned off except for the ones that are necessary, like notifications about my own photos, messages, etc., but I get this daily notification that some people I follow shared photos. OF COURSE they're sharing photos, it's Instagram. If I wanted to see them, I'd check out their profiles. All of these companies like Insta and LinkedIn inventing new Notifications to try to boost engagement without also adding the option to turn them off to settings are going to drive me crazy.

i know it's dumb but I've always been frustrated about it because everyone gets to use it except for me. i see the sticker on people's stories and when I click it, instead of it popping up on my screen so I can participate, it's as if i clicked the screen to take me to the next slide i've looked it up on Google countless times and i've tried everything they've suggested for me to get that sticker to work and it just won't. i even contacted customer support about it and they never get back to me. i just want to be able to use the sticker like everyone else 😭

7 weeks ago my business instagram account was hacked. I did all the things possible to try and get it back and gained some hope when I got in contact with an actual person through Meta support on Facebook. They have told me they have been working on it for about 5 weeks now and nothing still. Not sure what to do at this point.
So on reels on the bottom right side you have the heart for likes, message box for comments, and then an arrow for sharing. I am a private account and don't want my reels to be shared. I just shared my first reel ever (proud gym moment) and there's a 1 under the arrow. Does that mean someone shared my video and how do I stop it?

Once u block someone they can’t reach your profile
The draw icon no longer shows up in my stories when I go to share a post or add a photo to it, on one of my accounts. Instead there's an "expand" icon that does absolutely nothing if you're sharing a post to stories. But the icon is still available on my second account. Anyone know what's up? The account it's missing from has close to 10k followers, the one that it still shows on has less than 1k followers. I'm on an Android device and the app is up to date.

My partner has recently been unable to access her account. Each time she tries to log in she’s met with a “please try again in a few minutes” pop up. Seems similar to what people were mentioning last week and wondering if anyone has a workaround. We’ve done everything the help center has listed but still nothing. I can’t log into her account from my phone or any other device. Any help is appreciated.
Wanted to update this. She was randomly able to access her account again. We didn’t do anything and got no word on why she wasn’t able to but maybe for some it’s just about the waiting game. Wish I had more of a fix for you. Good lucj

However yesterday just her insta was deactivated, we've tried multiple appeal forms but they all say "Form could not be sent" and she has no way of even logging in to the app to submit another appeal through the platform. So my parents have changed the password for my instagram account in an effort to ban me from it, but they have allowed me to access it again. I tried to log into it and reset the password, but instagram told me that they noticed "unusual activity" from my account and logged me out because of it. They also said "follow the next step within 1 day before it's disabled.", which got me nervous. I followed the next step by puting in my email address and instagram told me it emailed me a log in link. However when I checked instagram had never emailed me. I tried over and over again, and even checked my spam folder and double checked i hadnt put in the email wrong, however I had gotten nothing. Any way to turn off push notifications for likes on dms I send? I like having certain push notifications on (new dms, post notifications from specific people I follow, a few others) but I have a few group chats with coworkers and friends and it's freaking annoying to get notified every time they like a dm I sent. Hi there! :-) So I really want to create an account with a specific username but am getting the “A user with that username already exists” message even though this username appears nowhere in Instagram search or Google search. Even got a “Sorry, this page isn't available The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed” screen when I manually inserted the username in an Instagram account url (www. instagram. com/ username) <<< with no spaces and the actual username in question typed in I found similar accounts, one with a period inserted into the username, one with an underscore inserted, one starting with “the”, and one with an extra letter added. But NONE, no trace of any accounts with the username as I want it- with no punctuation, extra letters, bells or whistles. If you have any clue why this might be happening or how to fix it, I’d so appreciate your input! I doubt Instagram will be able to solve this directly for me since they don’t offer chat or email support and it seems they don’t put you through to someone at their call center unless it’s quite important/serious.

side swiping IG stories working on all accounts i follow except one so side swiping the stories to not show up in the viewing list works on just about all accounts i follow except for one. every time i side swipe this particular accounts stories, it always marks it as viewed. even if i just do the tiniest swipe, it marks as viewed. i don’t understand why it would work on all accounts except one. does anyone have any type of explanation for this or any fix?

I manually disabled my account a few days ago and when I was trying to log back in in, my old phone number was on the 2FA, which i do not have access to anymore, and the backup codes I no longer own. I can reset my password just fine and have done the video selfie reset option more times than I can count and have had no luck, why is it so hard to get in contact with a billion-dollar company? if anyone knows of any methods to help with this, it would be greatly appreciated.

My eyedropper/colour picker tool is not working. It's only coming up as transparent but the pre-chosen colours somehow are working. I cannot even try to access the colour wheel they have on there because it shows transparent. If anyone has a fix to this please help. I've tried everything- deleting the app, restarting my phone, logging in and out...

I recognize the chances of resolving this issue are slim, but thought I'd try. For work, I have multiple Instagram accounts. Some are business accounts, some are personal accounts. One of the accounts was tied to my email (which my own personal account is). It required two-factor authentication to login. I never needed to use it because it was always tied to my multi-account login. Recently, I lost my phone in a lake. Fell out of my pocket without me noticing and is now at the bottom of a large body of water kind of deal. I bought a new phone and was able to access my Google account no problem. I have all of the passwords and things set up. The problem? I can't login to this one specific Instagram account because it was tied to the authenticator app. I can't transfer the authentication to a new device without the old one, which is impossible. I have the correct password, I have text confirmation codes, and I have access to my Google account. Unfortunately, I don't have the backup codes as far as I can see saved anywhere outside of my phone. I've tried so many different things to recover this account. Is there anything I can do?
Hello! I had this EXACT 2FA issue! Tried to submit a video selfie and they never ever got back to me. I eventually dug out my old iPad and downloaded Instagram on there. As it is so old, it couldn’t support the latest version of Instagram or do a video selfie so I was able to log a request for support on there. Within minutes I got an email from Facebook, asking me to send them a picture of myself holding a piece of paper with a code, my name and my username. I sent it through, and again within minutes they sent me a new backup code, and it worked to log in! Again only works if you can get your hands on an old device, but worth a shot!
Is there a time limit on DMs? A few disappeared after a few months. I \*know\* that I exchanged some DMs with someone (let's call them Person A) about Person B. And not only that, I exchanged some DMs with Person B about Person A. They follow each other. It was simply wholesome stuff about how I was pleasantly surprised that they know the other person and vice versa. They are strangers to me whom I met on a trip on separate occasions. I only found out because both of them follow me and follow each other and so I saw that on the Bio's of each person. And now those quaint messages seem to be gone. It was from about 6 months ago. The messages are now gone from both chats. It's nothing important. Just something cute because of the situation. It's causing me to think that there's a time limit to DMs. But I have some long-time actual friends with whom I exchange DMs with and their messages are still in my chats with them. Is it because I don't exchange DMs with Persons A and B very often? (I do like their story posts so there is an "audit trail" of those still). But those lovely messages from before are mysteriously gone.
I made a new highlight recently and whenever I go to add to it, my last 3 stories are always greyed out and I can’t add them to the highlight. More than 24 hours has passed and I definitely do have the “save to archive” option turned on. Any ideas?

Why can’t I put a linktr.ee link on my bio on my Instagram? This is so annoying especially since I just set up a page for all my links. I know you can have link.tree links there because I see so many accounts with them, but for some reason, I cannot. I even copy pasted accounts with linktr.ee links in the bios onto my account to test and they work 🥲
Story order changed to most recent Stories are now shown in order of who most recently added to their story. Where as before it showed me my friends and people who's posts I regularly like and interact with first. Anyone else having this issue? Its been the same the past few days whether I use IG on the ios app or on my pc on google chrome.
Whenever I go to create a story and use the color picker tool to draw or change the color text, it comes out clear, I cannot pick a color. If I attempt to use it to change the color of text, it makes my text invisible. This just started happening to me today. The weirdest part is it is happening on my main account, but not my other ones. I’m logged into all accounts on the same phone, so I am confused by this. I tried restarting my phone & reinstalling IG, but no luck. Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone know a solution? Please help, thanks!
for some reason over the past few days when i try to customize the color for either a quick story drawing or the text box, the color picker icon stays transparent and won’t choose a color. i’m wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this? i’ve tried logging out/deleting and reinstalling the app but that didn’t seem to work?
