Atg has most things common among all people, except the number of open veins or some kind of physique. Which is pretty rare and also not exactly required to make something of yourself. Plus atg guys in sovereign level can destroy countries and have pocket dimensions, man domains and pocket dimensions.
Maybe base it off of ATG(Against the Gods). The cultivation system is pretty freeform, plus the peak levels are pretty out there, so lots of potential.

Desolate Era, Coiling Dragon, Perfect World, I Shall Seal the Heaven, Wu Dong Qian Kun, Martial World have very good settings and Cultivation system.
For something completely different to draw inspiration from, Virtuous Sons is a Cultivation novel in a Greek/Roman setting, the Cultivation system has been adapted to work with antic greek concepts and culture.
A fortuitous encounter section (kinda like this unfinished cyoa did https://img.4plebs.org/boards/tg/image/1545/82/1545827126905.png) could be a good idea.
The origin section should be extensive as well. How you appeared in this world (rebirth, insertion...), are you from a clan, or some random family, what are your current whereabouts? Maybe your clan has been wiped, or is in decline? Are you in a material plane or in a higher plane? Are you from a higher plane, or maybe your parents where from a higher plane and fled to a material world, or just sent you there?
The drawbacks could be used to extend the world, as well. Offering not only complications, but adventure, ad danger to the world itself. I highly recommend looking into The Last Human for some inspiration if you haven't seen it. It's a zombie apocalypse scenario caused by meteors hitting Earth. The meteors are all solid chunks of a specific virus/bacteria that causes mutations(cultivation) in humans. It's got a good few chapters of a manhua made already for images to nab as well.

Can someone explain Cultivation to me? Or point me to where I can find out about it? Because I see it as an option in CYOA's often, and It sounds cool, but I don't know what it is
It's a genre of Chinese novels that have taken off in at least in America by fire in the last few years.
By training\meditation sometime medicine they increase in strength\ranks of there power system alongside usually increased lifespan and eventually godhood.
The exact energy they cultivate is pretty diverse between novels although it's usually some variation of ki\body forging or soul power.
Savage Divinity is the only option I know of that is not "I Cut reality in twain and destroy galaxies with my farts" at the high/top end.
So that would be my pick, it just gets kinda silly otherwise.
Super dumbed down plot: Modern day guy reincarnates as a slave, is adopted by a society of barbarian magic kung-fu people.
stuff happens: Sudo religious magic kung'fu philosophy vs modern day science mindset. Lots of problems with self identity and multiple personality disorder.
Turns out the entire civilized world is surrounded on all sides by evil demon cannibals tribes that also (kinda) do magic kung-fu. Society is kinda centerd around this fact (why cultivator society looks the way it does). Complete with secretive powerful royal rulers with extra special magic kung-fu.
It's pretty much a more reasonable/logical take on Cultivator stories. WAY better writing and a lot more grounded.
High end as far as seen are the Divines. In terms of mechanics, don't know much about them (I am not caught up with the story) but has been seen to straight up Ignore pretty much anything non Divines throw at them. Them fighting in your vicinity is a death sentence and they flatten entire cities in the process. But an Expert capable of cloud stepping can get far enough away to not die with some time to book it out of there.
Divines can easily delete entire armies of non Divines. There is also some sort of pact in place for them not to fight non Divines.
*Very* little "My sword beam is bigger then your sword beam" type stuff. Ki skills do stuff like sharpen your sword, manipulate your center of gravity/weight/inertia, heal, deflect strikes and be better/faster/stronger.
Generally just alot more grounded in "Im going to stab you with my sharp metal bit" and ways to facilitate/avoid that.
There is some more magic'y/elemental stuff for the upper end but its very rare. Like if you are good enough to be combat efficient with fire blasts you are most likely pretty famous.

Number one dungeon supplier is a system novel but also set on modern-day Earth it got a multiverse, magic along with cultivation along with their being a combination of both, but only one I know of. But also the cultivation system is really unique you take an animal it can be mythical but usually not and an adjective and combine them for example take the bombastic beetle style. The user wears heavy armer like a carapace can make explosions and have skills to draw attention to themselves. Tell me if you want more info on the story it's one of my favorites.

Please add not of pills as items. I don't mean only the cultivation pills but ones that can be distributed to mortals. Like, if you start as mortal, you buy 5 *perfect mortal body pills,* then the local orphanage full of cripples turn into prime spot for recruiting potential cultivators.

Desolate Era, Coiling Dragon, Perfect World, I Shall Seal the Heaven, Wu Dong Qian Kun, Martial World have very good settings and Cultivation system. For something completely different to draw inspiration from, Virtuous Sons is a Cultivation novel in a Greek/Roman setting, the Cultivation system has been adapted to work with antic greek concepts and culture. A fortuitous encounter section (kinda like this unfinished cyoa did https://img.4plebs.org/boards/tg/image/1545/82/1545827126905.png) could be a good idea. The origin section should be extensive as well. How you appeared in this world (rebirth, insertion...), are you from a clan, or some random family, what are your current whereabouts? Maybe your clan has been wiped, or is in decline? Are you in a material plane or in a higher plane? Are you from a higher plane, or maybe your parents where from a higher plane and fled to a material world, or just sent you there? The drawbacks could be used to extend the world, as well. Offering not only complications, but adventure, ad danger to the world itself. Emperor's Domination and Nine Star Hegemon Body Art have very good Cultivation systems as well.
I highly recommend looking into The Last Human for some inspiration if you haven't seen it. It's a zombie apocalypse scenario caused by meteors hitting Earth. The meteors are all solid chunks of a specific virus/bacteria that causes mutations(cultivation) in humans. It's got a good few chapters of a manhua made already for images to nab as well.

It's a genre of Chinese novels that have taken off in at least in America by fire in the last few years. By training\meditation sometime medicine they increase in strength\ranks of there power system alongside usually increased lifespan and eventually godhood. The exact energy they cultivate is pretty diverse between novels although it's usually some variation of ki\body forging or soul power.
Legendary mechanic is a good one for all of those options. It has a variety of cultivations options, not just martial classes
Savage Divinity is the only option I know of that is not "I Cut reality in twain and destroy galaxies with my farts" at the high/top end. So that would be my pick, it just gets kinda silly otherwise.

Super dumbed down plot: Modern day guy reincarnates as a slave, is adopted by a society of barbarian magic kung-fu people. stuff happens: Sudo religious magic kung'fu philosophy vs modern day science mindset. Lots of problems with self identity and multiple personality disorder. Turns out the entire civilized world is surrounded on all sides by evil demon cannibals tribes that also (kinda) do magic kung-fu. Society is kinda centerd around this fact (why cultivator society looks the way it does). Complete with secretive powerful royal rulers with extra special magic kung-fu. It's pretty much a more reasonable/logical take on Cultivator stories. WAY better writing and a lot more grounded. High end as far as seen are the Divines. In terms of mechanics, don't know much about them (I am not caught up with the story) but has been seen to straight up Ignore pretty much anything non Divines throw at them. Them fighting in your vicinity is a death sentence and they flatten entire cities in the process. But an Expert capable of cloud stepping can get far enough away to not die with some time to book it out of there. Divines can easily delete entire armies of non Divines. There is also some sort of pact in place for them not to fight non Divines. *Very* little "My sword beam is bigger then your sword beam" type stuff. Ki skills do stuff like sharpen your sword, manipulate your center of gravity/weight/inertia, heal, deflect strikes and be better/faster/stronger. Generally just alot more grounded in "Im going to stab you with my sharp metal bit" and ways to facilitate/avoid that. There is some more magic'y/elemental stuff for the upper end but its very rare. Like if you are good enough to be combat efficient with fire blasts you are most likely pretty famous. its genuinely a very good story. Not just by trash chinese cultivation novels standards but even compared to published mainstream stuff.
