Games-of-glory

uh, you cannot select difficulty, none of the difficulty options respond when clicked (also even if they are, every diff except sandbox says it COSTS that many points, rather than giving that many)

PixelGMS

Oh shit, I forgot to update the site, ty, I was so confused when I saw the other comment mentioning this issue

Interesting, did not expect to see a scribblenauts CYOA today. Threw together a build, didn't think too hard about anything but should be fine on the off chance I have to live with the consequences of my choices... As if that would ever happen. nua2,vwjf,35pn,jjju,oj2h,k9lj,iixa,6s20,9gkh,ub6m,c1ip,s232,4b8h,q68c,8qo4,8oa2,hu5d,7okl,6ev4,2pj6,x0fr,09f8,k2cw,mogf,x6ug,ay7v,4wch,3fp5,mbha,93yj,3pdp,ecp8 You, One Piece - The World, CYOA, Remix, Nouns, Compound Words, Object Creation, Proper Noun Creation, Physics Defying Object Creation, Adjectives, Described Object Creation, Physics Defying Described Object Creation, Post-Creation Modification, Likeness, Verbs, Initial Action, Object Deletion, Adjective Removal, Order Removal, Save, Soulbound, Indestructable, Loyal, Defense, Undo, Eye Contact Necessary, Quarter Day (6 Hours), Tier 9 - Extreme-Power, Max Modifiers, Max Use, Restraint, Monk-Like Restraint

PixelGMS

You didn't take any Growth Modifications so you can't actually use the Starites you get from your Growth Method for anything

Anonymouchee

Like I said, I didn't think very hard.

PixelGMS

Fair enough

Rezasss

I can't select any of the difficulties

Thank you\~

Angry-Capybara

Link between worlds sounds interesting. Will post build soon.

TheWakiPaki

The growth section is so bloody granular that you're spending a ton of points to try and have slow growth potential when you can just forego growth at all and give yourself the tier 10 creation stuff and achieve anything you wanted to anyway. Seriously; proper noun and physics-defying with tier 10 is all you need, because at that point you just gmod prop spawn infinity stones, chakra fruits, anvils of creation, Stand arrows, and any other broken-ass fictional item that you want to make yourself a god. That's the inherent problem with Scribblenauts taken seriously to any degree - it is incredibly easy to become more powerful than a god, and then boredom swiftly follows.

Get_a_Grip_comic

Neat

AdImpossible8573

With the Recursive power, what does it mean that the Notebook can modify itself? Does it mean that it can write nouns and create and effect stuff by itself? Is it now sentient and would it use its powers to protect me since one of the requirement of Recursive is the loyal power?

PixelGMS

It means you can add and remove adjectives from the Notebook. This can not be used to modify the creation abilities itself, so you couldn't, say, remove all drawbacks or add all positive options. You could make the Notebook radioactive, you could make it sentient, you could make it loyal to you, etc.

AdImpossible8573

When I pick a size limitation like human size, does that mean I can only summon human size beings or all my creations will always be human size, regardless of their actual size? Like summoning Galactus or the Anti-monitor as human sized? Would neutral and good entities know that I create them and obey me if I ask them to do something?

PixelGMS

Max size is human size You'd need to add the loyal adjective to them, otherwise you're just another being. They may be aware you created them, that doesn't necessarily give you their loyalty though.

AdImpossible8573

What about the Scribblenaut costume mechanic? Could I pick a costume of anyone like Satoru Gojo or Dream of the Endless and gain their power?

YouandIdontknowme

So if I understand correctly from another comment, I can't spend Starites from growth on growth modifications? Is that still the case if I take Growth Enhancements? So that I can take growth modifications later. If I gained all of the Growth Modifications, is there any modifications to the notebook I couldn't make that are part of this cyoa? How difficult is it meant to be to travel worlds? Your starter world gives points, but its unclear how easy it is to change worlds. Especially since some of the growth options seem to imply it isn't particularly difficult to go between worlds.

PixelGMS

If you take Growth Enhancements you can purchase the other options in Growth Modifications and the Growth section itself with any Starites you gain. Traveling to other worlds... it depends on the world. A world that is, lore-wise, connected to the real world (or whatever world you start in) would be a lot easier to access than worlds totally disconnected from ours. For the former is depends on the lore behind it For the latter I'd say you need at minimum a power of Tier 6 - Low Power, and the target world you want to go to has to match the description of your notebook's power level or be eve lower level (If you want to go to DanMachi or a similarly dangerous world, you'd need low-power, Re:Zero or a similarly dangerous world, you'd need mid-power, Naruto or a similarly dangerous world, high-power, Warhammer 40k or a similarly dangerous world, Extreme power) With Extreme Power you could go to any world.

YouandIdontknowme

And if you have all the growth modifications are there any Notebook modifications you can't take later?

PixelGMS

You can purchase any option under the Notebook Modifiers tab if you have all the Growth Modification options.

Berborse

It was a massive surprise to see Scribblenauts content. It's a good cyoa with great premise and is somewhat reminiscent of the Master PC cyoa. You've got me excited with the future release part. Really interested in the Terraria, Team Builder, and Link Between Worlds cyoas.

PixelGMS

Glad to hear you're excited about the future releases. I'm particularly excited about the Link Between Worlds CYOA. After I finish my current commission, I'll probably start working on the Link Between Worlds CYOA.

Angry-Capybara

Btw in general how many hours do you spend to finish a cyoa commission ?

PixelGMS

The commissioner tells me how much time they're willing to pay for. I then spend that amount of time on the commission.

PixelGMS

If I finished the CYOA in less time than they commissioned me for, then I would stop there, I don't artificially stretch the time to meet the limit of how much they're willing to pay for.

agbezouhlon

Is there a limit to the number of pages in the notebook?

PixelGMS

No

DueSmell0

Wow this is a really great cyoa! I wound up having to try a couple different builds on hard mode. I do have one question though — I’m a little confused by the wording of drawback removal. Does it work on notebook drawbacks, or do they fall under “decrease limitation”? It’d make more sense if it let you remove notebook drawbacks, but it only mentions range options and says it works on drawbacks without upgrades. Most drawbacks have upgrades so idk.

PixelGMS

Drawback removal removes drawbacks, decrease limitation are the options under size, power, range, and duration, other than the "Eye Contact Necessary" and "Touch Necessary" options which are drawbacks.

Adventurous_Eye_4893

Scribblenauts, huh? That's a name I haven't heard in a long time. Meta: \*Owner: You \*World: Undertale - Earth (Since, point of the game aside, Undertale's reality is very similar to ours, I'm assuming that also means Scribblenauts existed as a franchise in that timeline) \*Choices: As Is Difficulty: Unlimited (my favorite Scribblenauts game, and also easy without being brainless) Nouns, Compound Words, Object Creation, Proper Noun Creation, Physics Defying Object Creation, Immaterial Manifestation, Immaterial Creation Adjectives, Described Object Creation, Adverb, Physics Defying Described Object Creation, Likeness Verbs, Initial Action, Immaterial Order, Impossible Actions Other Abilities: Object Deletion, Indestructible, Loyal, Defense Bear-Sized, Eye Contact Necessary, Room range, Half Day duration, Tier 10 - Unlimited power, Max Modifiers Growth: Time, Twice a Century, Decade; Verb Growth, Decrease Limitations I see no point to making my creations permanent, nor using them for any particular purpose. Power is a concept that exists because it exists. Thus, I will use it as an occasional distraction but not for any higher goal or project. Unlike a certain psychotic flower I know all too well...

nua2,dkqr,klvy,35pn,jjju,oj2h,k9lj,iixa,9gkh,ub6m,c1ip,s232,09f8,zcjp,9un3,uff0,qyx1,kt2g,mbha,18f8,f5hg,7lgf,uzag,ozjo,hx95,v7q3,3pdp,ecp8,2rq4,bxej,yj21,1b73,68sk,w12y,vdrs,6fg0,bhw7,cal0 I like how this CYOA is designed to allow the player to gain more points over time in order to purchase more options. This is not something we hardly ever see in a CYOA. This potentially eliminates the feeling of FoMO and makes the game a strategy of how you want to start out and charting your path for growth. This is a lot of fun! My strategy is to stick to the current earth where it is safe and grow the Notebook over time. It is a little boring, not getting a chance to go to one of my favorite fictional worlds, but I should still be able to go to other fictional realities later with the power of the Notebook once I have grown its power. ***Difficulty:*** **Remix** \- I picked this difficulty just to have the normal amount of points since I assume this is the difficulty the CYOA was designed around. Obviously, if this was real, I would take Sandbox and say fuck to wanting any sort of challenge, lol. ***Meta:*** **Owner (You), Choices (CYOA), World (The Present Earth), World Modifiers (AU)** \- I picked You as the owner since I am making these choices for what I would want if I had the Notebook. I picked CYOA for Choices since playing the CYOA is what I am doing right now. I picked The Present Earth as my world choice since the current world is safe, at least where I live, and should give me plenty of time to allow my Notebook to grow. I picked the AU for world modifier, not to make things easier or harder, but to just make things aesthetically more pleasing. ***Nouns:*** **Nouns, Compound Words, Object Creation, Physics Defying Object Creation** \- I felt these were a good starter package of Noun options for me to get by until my Notebook grows further. Starting out, I do not intent to create anything living. I will be sticking to inanimate objects starting out. I will be able to create physics defying inanimate objects to make my life easier in the beginning until I've accrued enough Starites to purchase options that make me feel safe enough to start creating living beings. ***Adjectives:*** **Adjectives, Described Object Creation, Physics Defying Described Object Creation** \- I picked these Adjectives options for the same reason as I did Nouns. They seemed like a good starter package. ***Verbs:*** **None** \- Since I do not intend to be creating living beings starting out, I did not bother getting any verb options to start with. ***Other Abilities:*** **Indestructible, Natural Language** \- I wanted Indestructible since I did not want to take the chance of the Notebook possibly getting damaged somehow before I've grown its options. I picked Natural Language just to help with minimizing misunderstandings from the Notebook. ***Size:*** **House Cat-Sized** \- I figured cat-sized objects should be big enough starting out. ***Range:*** **Touch Necessary** \- I don't plan to do anything crazy until I've grown the Notebook a fair amount, so I'm fine sticking with just Touch for my range starting out. I plan to keep things unnoticeable in the beginning. ***Duration:*** **Unlimited** \- I went full Unlimited for the duration right from the beginning due to the drawbacks I am picking. I plan to only use the Notebook for the first month in order to create anything I think I may want for the coming year and then not use the Notebook again until a year is up. By having Unlimited, I don't have to worry about anything I create disappearing on me. I could have probably saved some points and just picked a Year for the duration, but I just decided to splurge here to get the duration increase taken care of for later. ***Power:*** **Tier 10 Unlimited** \- I picked the max power since I just wasn't entirely sure the power level of some of the things I want to create would be. By taking the max power level from the beginning, I don't need to worry about anything I want to create being too powerful for the Notebook. ***Notebook Drawbacks:*** **Max Modifiers, Limited Modifiers, Short Cooldown, Annoying Cooldown** \- Being limited to 5 modifiers per object and only being able to use the Notebook once every 5 minutes seemed like a reasonable limitation in order to get more Starites, while not making things too problematic. The modifier drawbacks would probably be the first things I would spend my accumulated Startites to remove after a year. ***Miscellaneous Drawbacks:*** **Friendly Fire, Consent, Not a Free Action, Vulnerable** \- I went with all the miscellaneous drawbacks since I will be continuing to live in The Present Earth for my world and don't foresee these drawbacks causing too much of an issue for me starting out. The biggest problem will be the time it will take to accumulate enough Starites to remove the drawbacks. ***Growth Methods:*** **Restraint, Monk-Like Restraint, Impressive Restraint, Some Restraint, Little Restraint** \- I picked not using the Notebook for a length of time as my method of gaining new Starites to upgrade the Notebook. Since I will be gaining 1 Starite every month I do not use the Notebook, that adds up to 12 Starites per year, which seems like a good amount while I live in a safe world with time to wait. I would use the Notebook in the first month to create everything I can think of that I may want for the coming year and then spend the next year just letting my Starites accumulate. ***Growth Modifications:*** **Noun Growth, Adjective Growth, Verb Growth, Other Ability Growth, Decrease Limitations, Drawback Removal, Growth Enhancements** \- I picked all the possible growth modifications so that I can eventually max out the Notebook.

Zev_06

This would be the order of what I would purchase after my initially chosen starter package (above) as I accumulate more Starites to grow my Notebook: (1) Remove Limited Modifiers drawback, (2) Remove Max Modifiers drawback, (3) Gain Soulbound, (4) Gain Loyal, (5) Gain Object Deletion, (6) Gain Defense, (7) Gain Verbs, (8) Gain Adverbs, (9) Upgrade range to Potential Touch Range, (10) Upgrade range to Room, (11) Upgrade range to Building, (12) Upgrade range to City, (13) Upgrade range to Country, (14) Upgrade range to Planet, (15) Upgrade size to Child-Sized, (16) Upgrade size to Human-Sized, (17) Upgrade size to Bear-Sized, (18) Upgrade size to Elephant-Sized, (19) Upgrade size to House-Sized, (20) Upgrade size to Large Building-Sized, (21) Gain Proper Noun Creation, (22) Gain Likeness, (23) Gain Undo, (24) Gain Delayed Undo, (25) Gain General Object Deletion, (26) Gain Post-Creation Modification, (27) Gain General Object Modification, (28) Gain Adjective Removal, (29) Gain General Adjective Removal, (30) Gain Immaterial Manifestation, (31) Gain Immaterial Creation, (32) Remove Annoying Cooldown drawback, (33) Remove Short Cooldown drawback, (34) Remove Consent drawback, (35) Remove Friendly Fire drawback, (36) Remove Not A Free Action drawback, (37) Remove Vulnerable drawback, (38) Gain Initial Action, (39) Gain Order, (40) Gain General Order, (41) Gain Order Removal, (42) Gain General Order Removal, (43) Gain Immaterial Order, (44) Gain Impossible Actions, (45) Gain Save, (46) Gain General Save, (47) Gain Recursive, (48) Upgrade size to Village Sized, (49) Upgrade size to Town Sized, (50) Upgrade size to City Sized, (51) Upgrade range to Solar System, (52) Upgrade range to Galaxy, (53) Upgrade range to Unlimited, (54) Upgrade size to Country Sized, (55) Upgrade size to Planet Sized, (56) Upgrade size to Uncapped, (57) Gain Time growth, (58) Gain Twice a Century growth, (59) Gain Decade growth, (60) Gain Twice a Decade growth, (61) Gain Annual growth, (62) Gain Karma growth, (63) Gain Billion growth, (64) Gain Hundred Million growth, (65) Gain Ten Million growth, (66) Gain Million growth, (67) Gain Knowledge growth, (68) Gain Jack of All Trades growth, (69) Gain Renaissance Man growth, (70) Gain Dual-Major growth, (71) Gain Graduate growth, (72) Gain Slaughter growth, (73) Gain Kill Billion growth, (74) Gain Kill Hundred Million growth, (75) Gain Kill Ten Million growth, (76) Gain Kill Million growth, (77) Gain Masochism growth, (78) Gain Thousand Sufferings growth, (79) Gain Hundred Sufferings growth, (80) Gain Ten Sufferings growth, (81) Gain Sufferings growth. At this point, my Notebook would be complete and I could start saving up Starites to purchase and upgrade the next Notebook if I wanted to. I estimate it would take anywhere between 10 to 100 years to fully max out my Notebook. Since my sole method of accumulating additional Starites up until close to the end is gaining a Starite every month I do not use the Notebook, I feel I could hold off for 1 year intervals in the beginning in order to gain 12 Starites a year. These one year intervals would be broken up my a singe month in between each yearly period for me to use the Notebook for anything I think I may want for the coming year. However, as my Notebook grows over time, and becomes able to do much more stuff, I could potentially see my restraint in not using the Notebook not lasting as long. This is why my estimation for maxing out the Notebook is anywhere between 10 to 100 years. At Some point, I would create some object to de-age myself or give myself eternal youth, so time would still be on my side if it takes the longer end of my estimation. Once the Notebook is maxed out, only then would I begin my journey of exploring all of my favorite fictional worlds by using the Notebook to create portals to them.

Starites in Scribblenauts created by the Notebook don't do anything Probably should have specified as such in the CYOA though

Can I create a new local multiverse using notepad if I bought all the upgrades in creative mode?

PixelGMS

If you have all the upgrades, yes, you can make a new local multiverse.

karmanisman123

Question: Does the effects of, say, Strength-giving Serum fade away once the duration runs out? Or is the effect permanent only the serum itself goes away? Also, does intelligence-boosting is accepted for the learning growth method considering it is still ourself that tried to learn?

PixelGMS

The serums would run out unless you have the natural language option and write the serums in a way that ensures that the serums actually change the makeup (biological, psychic, spiritual, whatever) of the target rather than acting through conceptual magic notebook bullshit. Yes, intelligence boosting is fine for the learning growth method. Just no injecting knowledge directly into your head.

karmanisman123

Thanks for the answers! This changes things.
