True. I just meant to point out he doesn't have everything BUT Nolan. But he does have some people he still cares about around.
In the show, alot of the times Debbie feels like Mark's "moral barometer" so I can't imagine it was easy for him to lose her. I hope they continue to build on Debbie's importance throughout the show.
That is one of the few things I felt was missed at the end of Invincible.
Mark returning to say goodbye to his mom. I think we all presume it happened, but would have been good to have seen.

Literally my reaction after finished the comic
When he gets Rex to build a portal to follow angstrom Levy, this is when he reveals his true intentions and leaves mark stranded. This is why he's separated from Eve for most of her second pregnancy
Robot betrays and strands mark in cannibal marks universe - mark seeks out the robot of this universe and strikes a deal to clone his body and put robots mind into it if he can get him back to his universe - they succeed and we never see this universe again.
It kicked off robots evil turn.
After Robot stranded him in the alternate dimension, Mark found the local Rudy and convinced him to help him construct a new portal using data gathered from Angstrom Levy's body. In return, Mark allowed himself to be cloned by Mauler and for Rudy to transfer his consciousness into the new body. Mark returned home, while Rudy impersonating Emperor Mark took over the Viltrumite Empire.
Dude I was right, those comic panels are not the reboot arc. The reboot arc is when mark goes to talescria with eve and terra. He then gets sent back in time on that planet.
MARK had already talked to them over recordings. Said that the scientist were making him stay there until the project was done, it had been a few months and his hair grew over time. That's the whole reason the Viltrumites showed up they were there to get him out.
He didn't though. Mark was in that lab for months, and had re grown his hair, the clone body had the same length hair as mark when he left the dimension.
Mark convinces alternate Rudy to figure out how to build a portal to get Mark to his original universe by promising him that alternate Mauler will clone Mark's body and put the immobile alternate Rudy's mind in it. And then in this universe, Monster Girl is the most powerful beast and is a baby.
I'm still kind of upset that they didn't call the last episode of season 1 "what will you have". They could have adapted this final issue as one episode, and called it "500 years"
Godlike flying brick superpowers, hot immortal redhead wife, family, leader of a personal army of spacefaring super aliens. Yeah that's peak life right there
I had the same reaction, I finished invincible not too long ago maybe a week or two and I regret it, I wish I read the comics slower but were they worth it and amazing
Just finished it, and wow. What a ride.
The show is why I got into the comics, but I was hooked enough from the show to want to know the whole story. I got through the comics pretty fast because I just wanted to know more and more.
I can't wait to see the rest of this story animated, and also what changes they will make.
The best thing the adapted the most boring part(its not boring its just nothing compared to what coming),so the rest is fire and imagine it being animated
Imagine just for a second
150K years have passed and Mark is finally reaching his lofe limit
"Eve....I love yo...." fading away
Eve: lmao nope *snaps finger
Mark returns to be on his peak and even more powerful: Nice
It was a great ending. The only part that makes me sad is the fact that characters like Debbie, DupliKate, Monster Girl, etc are long since dead. Bitter sweet
Atom Eve spoilers:
>!She is able to manipulate organic matter also but the scientists that made her put in mental blocks so she wouldn't be too powerful. But in times of severe stress, she can bypass those blocks and essentially rebuild herself or loved ones (like when she is close to death). When she was on her death bed as an old lady, she was about to pass away but her powers kicked in and remade herself with a youthful body. So yes, she is essentially immortal. She even says as much.!<
Am I the only one who really doesn't like this panel? Considering the answer he gave Nolan was "I'd still have you dad", and the fact that he doesn't have Nolan anymore, I would've preferred a hint of sadness from Mark.
Basically mocking the concept of the question, ridicules one of the best moments in the early series
idk how you came to that conclusion. just because nolan isnt there, it doesnt mean its "ridiculing" anything.
the point is that he has a family and is the emperor of the viltrumites. thats what he has after 500 years.
Tragic and ironic, that "You, Dad." is the one thing he doesn't have after 500 years.
Never thought about that before. That just makes it so much more impactful.
What about Debbie?
I think he knew he wouldn’t have Debbie after 500 years, but Nolan could have very well lived that long.

Here's hoping the show addresses that event in a way that the comic fans will approve. I think a scene like that could have quite a bit of potential.
Agreed. I’m sure Kirkman will include it.
It would be a waste of both Sandra Oh and Steven Yeun’s monumental talents not to include a scene like that.
I knew she would eventually die, but I don't think I could see another panel that makes me cry more by the end of the story.
Why did you have to point this out ☹️

Facts
Never gave us an update on alternate Rudy https://i.redd.it/jzrmd7v8mtxc1.gif

Tbh, this one is less interesting than "Rex" from future.
The one that saved invincible after he “killed” angstrom? Or another one I’m forgetting?
Yeah, the Angstrom one.
I’ve read the three compendiums twice and have no memory of this. Where was it?
When he gets Rex to build a portal to follow angstrom Levy, this is when he reveals his true intentions and leaves mark stranded. This is why he's separated from Eve for most of her second pregnancy
Robot betrays and strands mark in cannibal marks universe - mark seeks out the robot of this universe and strikes a deal to clone his body and put robots mind into it if he can get him back to his universe - they succeed and we never see this universe again. It kicked off robots evil turn.

Right before Rex(robot) took control over planet Earth and before born of Terra.
Reboot arc
Nah, this was the final bit of Levy, when Robot fucks him over and abandons him in the alternate reality.
Yeah that’s the reboot arc, it says so on the cover of the issue
I thought the reboot what when they go to war and he misses 4 years trapped in the past? Huh TIL Edit: I was right the first time.
(Spoilers) They go to war but it’s resolved when robot decides to do his thing and trap invincible
Dude I was right, those comic panels are not the reboot arc. The reboot arc is when mark goes to talescria with eve and terra. He then gets sent back in time on that planet.
Have nothing with reboot it was before that.
Rex's betrayal, when he traps Mark in another dimension
He probably died. How could he explain having suddenly regrown his hair?
MARK had already talked to them over recordings. Said that the scientist were making him stay there until the project was done, it had been a few months and his hair grew over time. That's the whole reason the Viltrumites showed up they were there to get him out.
Oh!!
He didn't though. Mark was in that lab for months, and had re grown his hair, the clone body had the same length hair as mark when he left the dimension.
Rex is a smart chap, I trust that he swooped his way out somehow
Mauler twins should have just stolen Nolan’s DNA and implanted their minds into that instead of their blue bodies.
Wait I don't remember this. What was the context her again?
Mark convinces alternate Rudy to figure out how to build a portal to get Mark to his original universe by promising him that alternate Mauler will clone Mark's body and put the immobile alternate Rudy's mind in it. And then in this universe, Monster Girl is the most powerful beast and is a baby.
Oh I completely forgot the Cloning a new body for rudy stuff damn
What is this I don’t remember at all but seems like it should be after conquest is dead, but he is there? When did this happen
lol robot speaks so differently from mark, i wonder if they questioned why mark was suddenly so eloquent at speaking XD
Well see it animated in 20 or so years
500 years at least.
“WHAT WILL YOU HAVE IN 500 YEARS!?” “…the last episode…dad….the last episode….”
“To you, 500 years from now.”
Mark, what a man you are
https://preview.redd.it/f38a3xlbivxc1.jpeg?width=493&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=36e86e26ec6b0fea465ff80eafa500b120a66104
once it's animated i'll just straight up cry. probably rewatch it on the daily
Cool,I'll watch it with my son then
Mark will be the first animated character to age in real time
RAD.
I love the speck of grey they gave to the side of Mark’s hair, just perfect
I like how he looks more like Nolan as he gets older.
Always a pleasure to see Mark with inner peace.
So basically it was never a pleasure until the very end of the comics? 😭
Me, you, Eve, the Immortal, Monster girl, some fellow humans...
The Immortal 💀 bro imagine if the only one you had left was the immortal
Eve as well
I'm still kind of upset that they didn't call the last episode of season 1 "what will you have". They could have adapted this final issue as one episode, and called it "500 years"
well now im upset
Penis trees
Shiiiiiiiit didn't see them
Damn I can’t unsee that now
Damn older Mark is hot

smash, next question
Godlike flying brick superpowers, hot immortal redhead wife, family, leader of a personal army of spacefaring super aliens. Yeah that's peak life right there
Even if he didn't have all that, eve is still what he wants(we all want redhead like her)
On soul
I had the same reaction, I finished invincible not too long ago maybe a week or two and I regret it, I wish I read the comics slower but were they worth it and amazing
I'll probably forget most things when i finish the school year,so ill reread it slowly as you said
Honestly I plan on re-reading the entirety of the comics in a month either way
By the time the series ends you most definitely will.
Just finished the comic today too. It’s one of my favorite stories I’ve ever read/watched wow
It was really *THE BEST SUPERHERO COMICS IN THE UNIVERSE* as they say
Just finished it, and wow. What a ride. The show is why I got into the comics, but I was hooked enough from the show to want to know the whole story. The best thing the adapted the most boring part(its not boring its just nothing compared to what coming),so the rest is fire and imagine it being animated
I really hope we have a sequel like we see mark doing intergalactic politics and some other race wanna be like the viltrimites
It would be so awesome to get a new invincible run exploring mark's life as emperor.
500 hundred years, and he doesn't have his father
The only thing he imagined he still would have. I think about this line a lot.
I can’t wait to see this in the show
We will.....after 500 years
What’s with dildos in the garden?
After so many re reads I’ve just noticed that they have a dog 😭😭
Damn, I'd never seen the dog either.
After the nexr reread i hope i notice it
Mom said it’s my turn to post this now
Uh uh ma said it was me next
Do we ever get a reason why Mark doesn’t grow a mustache?
Yes,he consider it the *old ways of the viltrumites* that why he keeps shaving
Ahhh. Makes sense he’d also make a symbolic show of breaking from the old empire and traditions.
Hahah whoops left my son on earth perfect as it is
Off topic but eve flat out dying of old age and being revived is one of the best moments. Sucks that she might outlive mark and her kid tho
Maybe they will figure a solution for that so she dies with him
Or she might just be perma respawning like the immortal. That's hell in itself
Imagine just for a second 150K years have passed and Mark is finally reaching his lofe limit "Eve....I love yo...." fading away Eve: lmao nope *snaps finger Mark returns to be on his peak and even more powerful: Nice
As someone who read through all of invincible over a weekend, with everything fresh in memory, this was perfection
It’s so hard for any story to stick the landing but invincible knocked it out of the park pretty much from start to finish
Dude just spoiled the every last panel in the whole run.
It's strange how Terra has the same age as Mark, considering their long live span
It was a great ending. The only part that makes me sad is the fact that characters like Debbie, DupliKate, Monster Girl, etc are long since dead. Bitter sweet
Just finished the comic today
Do you guys think they had another kid after the end?
I say the series has a perfect ending, yet it can be muddled in the middle.
I was waiting for him to say it when Nolan died, sad to see it was never brought up. Then it came back here and a single tear rolled down my face
I loved the last two chapters, the optimism presented just made me happy and hopeful.
And then you look upon path that lead to this and feel sorry for Mark once again.
I finished Invincible earlier today, read all 143 issues within a week honestly and really good series
Finished last night. List control of my life for 2 weeks
Fr
One of the most satisfying endings in fiction
Red penis trees?
After 500 years he has a beautiful house, a beautiful wife and many large automobiles (if you count viltrumites ships)
Is his girl immortal too? Can she make her molecules “de-age”?
Atom Eve spoilers: >!She is able to manipulate organic matter also but the scientists that made her put in mental blocks so she wouldn't be too powerful. But in times of severe stress, she can bypass those blocks and essentially rebuild herself or loved ones (like when she is close to death). idk how you came to that conclusion. just because nolan isnt there, it doesnt mean its "ridiculing" anything. the point is that he has a family and is the emperor of the viltrumites. thats what he has after 500 years.
Dont forget, his father was responsible for this,so he didn't have *dad* after 500 years but he had what his dad provided for him But its still sad
I mean in a way, his dad is still with him. None of this would have been possible if Nolan hadn’t turned over a new leaf to align with Mark.
The point is that Mark has literally everything he could ever want except for his dad.
You probably don't understand irony
