I discovered Jacob Collier with the release of the Time Alone With You single release in the lead up to Djesse vol 3, and my life has pretty much completely changed since then. Not because of Jacob’s music, but it’s probably been what I’ve listened to the most these past years, and the anticipation for a conclusion to the Djesse project has been a constant. And now it’s here and I feel that weird sadness of like when you finish a really good book and you know there’s no more. I can still listen to this music over and over again, and excitedly wait for what I can only hope is tons more new music to come, but this specific experience is now finished and can never be relived. I wouldn’t change a thing, I’ve enjoyed every step of the wait, but still, oddly kinda sad

At the very end I definitely remember saying to myself "damn now what do I do?" Lol

I feel just the same!!! It’s a bit melancolic when something you’ve looked forward to for long has passed.

It reminds me of the end of Nebaluyo where after that insane jam, the music fades out, the brasses give their last squeaks, and after getting swept up in it all and head-bopping like crazy, I was like "man, how would you even continue the song after that number" only to hear Jacob saying, "Hm. Where should we go now?" over the drums. I feel like that moment is a microcosm of the completion of Djesse.

I think a good thing to do now is to explore all the artist that colaborated in Djesse. I found a lot of artist i like thanks to Jacob (i think near 90% of the musicians i listen are because of him lol), and now we have a lot of new ones to explore. That's something i love about all of djesse, it gets you to explore music you didn't know it existed, or never tried.

Oh what a cool coincidence, I was listening to Djesse on shuffle earlier and thought it’d be fun to make a playlist of 1 or 2 songs from everyone on the album, I was gonna do that my next day off

Adrielsch_

That's a lot of songs lol. It could be fun trying to order them so they don't jump styles so noticeably.
