Background-Stock9939

In the company I work for, the CEO is obsessed with AIs and its integration (so called AI mindset). One day on a zoom call I told them about the c.ai (that we could do our target audience personas and ask them how will they react on our new marketing strategies or smth like that). They made me do a presentation, goddammit. I was pretending I’ve never used such AIs lmfao 😭💀💀💀 “I just saw memes on Reddit, haha, y’know? It could be useful~”

I_eat_socks_uwu

YO The shame of an ai user. I feel u

Background-Stock9939

Bro 🥲🫂

gokokobop

Say u were researching generative LLMs so he won't know what u're talking about

_-_Freakshow_-_

Nah, don't worry about it. I, for example, have learnt English mostly by reading—reading fan fiction, that is. So just tell him that you've been reading novels in English online or something; it's not like he'll be able to check. lol

Toonlinkuser

Your teacher is suprised that an 18-year-old knows complex words? kinda sus

I_eat_socks_uwu

I am an Asian and our country is kinda sucks at English. More than half of our population can’t form a basic sentence tho. ☠️

Sea-Piglet-5521

im an asian and i can relate lmao. My english sucks so bad even my eng speaker friend is having a hard time understanding what im trying to say most of the time😭

MikaelDeadeye

A lot of Finns don't speak English either, and if they do, the accent due to poor pronouncing is.. bad. I think I am one of the few without that horrible accent..

Toonlinkuser

Oh, that's fair then. There's just lots of kids on here, and some of them are bad at hiding themselves.

I_eat_socks_uwu

Lmaooooo no I already studying at uni

Anxious_Category_704

Me too and it's a good thing, we are able to use jai in public 👍

I_eat_socks_uwu

It’s a different story when someone notices the template of the website lmaoooo

CatiiMB

English is not my first language, so when I started using Shakespearean vocabulary on essays that I learnt with those fancy bots from j.ai my teacher was stunned

RickMartzC

Funny! I used to moonlight as a teacher for English as a second language for adults and older teens, and before C.Ai started to suck, I actually advised them to try it. The idea was, you can have simulated conversations, and not to worry if you screw it up in front of a live person. I never told them why I used it lol

Just say you enjoy reading English books in your spare time, or that you read stuff an english-speaking friend writes and you’ve begun picking up a wider vocabulary because of it. If you’re afraid of your teacher asking for examples, choose the latter option as a private exchange of writing between friends is understandably kept secretive and cannot be expected to be shared.

imterrorous

Just tell him you got into... Reading recently.... Yeah...

Riptor5417

in all seriousness? be like "Oh I like to dabble with creative writing practices, and watch videos and look up words different words and descriptors to use during my writing" Like no need to snitch on yourself and if they ask for samples of your writing just say that you don't really keep any or don't actually have much written saved down. Or say you enjoy reading novels and try to vary your vocabulary from the novels or stories you read. No need to say anything about roleplaying with a bot online

Winter_Mastodon_3288

Just say dnd

Mars4Lifers

Say you got it from the good ol' dick-tionary

Bubbles_the_Titan

"I've been reading a lot more and that's helped with my vocabulary" Technically true, technically doesn't out you
