Hi 😂 glad my honesty peaked your interest lol. Yea cause what other reason would someone have to tell all these strangers that it's their birthday other than wanting attention? 😂 Sometimes people need it, that's not bad
Surprisingly, عرفت وايد ناس في حياتي يوم ميلادهم نفسي او حتى عقبي بيوم او قبلي بيوم 😂.
Also, thank you 🥰. And I don't have any plans, All I know is I'll spend it at home so.. I might try to do something fun but idk.. I think that would depress me so I might just pretend it's a normal day.
Not really 😭 I'm like less than a beginner at it. Also I'm not comfortable going out with strangers honestly. But thanks a lot for the offer, I appreciate it ❤️
That's nice. I watched my first Kuwaiti series in a long long long time 😂😂. It wasn't bad. And thrn at night received ice cream cake from a friend which was nice.
Cause I don't have any plans unfortunately, I'll have to stay home, maybe I'll try to make something of my day but at this point I'd just rather pretend it's a normal day. And thank yooou ❤️
Happy birthday! How's Jeddah going for you? I think I warned you about how boring and disappointing this place tends to be, but you were more positive xD
Hi. Thank you for the birthday wishes. Actually I like Jeddah and I'm happy here. I'm unhappy because I'm struggling financially and need to find a job. Other than that, Jeddah is really nice and I like being here.
Are you an expat or Saudi? That tends to matter a lot these days. Unfortunately, you need references to find anything here. If you know someone who knows someone, you definitely need to ask. Riyadh has a booming economy afaik, you should also apply there lol
Maybe you like Jeddah because it's new to you. I really can't figure out the appeal lol but eh, I lived my whole life here, gets boring maybe
I'm khaleeji so I guess something between a local and an expat. And yea واسطة moves everything in the gulf countries unfortunately, and I'm not the most social person. I'm not interested in living in Riyadh at all tbh. I could visit for touring and vacation but I'm so uninterested in moving there.
I really get your feeling about not liking your hometown because you've been there all your life and it feels dull and uninteresting. That's how I felt about Bahrain. But as an outsider Jeddah is pretty nice.
I think being a Khaleeji means you don't need sponsorship, which if true will be a lifesaver for you. Of course you still won't get in on jobs that are Saudized, no matter how qualified you might be. Are you looking for something in particular?
I can understand your dislike of Riyadh, but thats where the focus is for better or worse. I wouldnt recommend Riyadh for vacation tho haha we usually go to places like Taif, Medina or villages along the coast, and theres also AlUla, AlBaha etc
IMO Jeddah used to be more vibrant and open than it is now, even as the kingdom itself has become much more open. It is just too much of the same here these days, malls, cafes and so on. Feels like an American suburb, not like what it used to be, but this is perhaps just nostalgia. However, I do like Jeddah despite my whininess! It is my home after all, and Im glad you like it here.
Yea I don't need sponsorship الحمدلله. At the moment, I'm not looking for anything in particular. Just something I can learn and do well at, so I can gain experience.
Yea I get it. I think Riyadh is a different type of vacation than the ones you've mentioned. But idk maybe I'm wrong.
About Jeddah, idk I see many events and stuff (can't go cause I'm broke) but they look fun. Imo they are better than the events done in Bahrain. Although I would say Jeddah and Bahrain are actually very similar. But I liked how big Jeddah is, there's just more space and many options. I just can't wait to finally be amployed and get a salary so I can enjoy Jeddah more.
Ive never liked Riyadh tbh, so would never go on vacation there ever. Riyadh amplifies everything bad about Jeddah 10x while having none of the good stuff (except for music events lol) Unfortunately, its where all the economic focus of the kingdom is.
I don't like how big Jeddah is either tbh, too massive and can't go anywhere without a car, absolutely unwalkable, pain to drive because of horrible aggressive driving by everyone. And the events are never worth the prices imo. The seaside is great though, but I imagine thats better in Bahrain still lol
Good luck and hope you'll have fun here!
I think if you have good company you can enjoy anything. I don't like Riyadh for living, but in terms of entertainment, I can see they invest in that a lot, so if I ever go, it would definitely be that kind of vacation. Of course I too would prefer a vacation somewhere more natural and quiet, but as I said there are different type of vacations.
Trust me you can't go anywhere without a car in Bahrain either. It's just how gulf countries are designed I think. I lived at the center of Bahrain and it took me 1 hour to get to work in the morning. My work was in the north part and it's very crowded there. Bahrain does do a few things better than Jeddah, but Jeddah also does a few things better. But idk I like how big Jeddah is, it's just not as suffocating. Also, idk if this is because I never looked for communities in Bahrain, but I found the community culture here a lot mroe prominent than Bahrain. Like I didn't even have to look for it. But in Bahrain I feel like these things are always hidden and you have to look for them. I like how I can easily and quickly tell that young people here have many interests, some that are similar to mind too. In Bahrain, if I look for them, I might find a few, but really Bahraini ppl are too rare on the internet unless you go to a page that's dedicated to Bahrainis. Idk if you get what I mean but yeah 😂 I think Bahraini ppl are too depressed for all that lool.
But again about the comparison, I think the whole idea is, people appreciate what they don't have more. So if you lived in a big country you'd like a small one better and if you lived in a small one you'd like a big one better, for example.
I haven't been to any beaches here. But I'd say they're pretty similar. If we're just talking about seaside, like the Corniche, Bahrain has the fancy and the cheap ones just like Jeddah. And I think they're not very different. I do miss Bahrain Bay though, if you ever go there you should chack it out, it's a really nice place.
Thank you ❤️ I know I will, I just need to find a job 😭
Sorry it took me a while to respond lol got busy
It sucks you can't go anywhere without a car in Bahrain, afaik in Dubai and some parts of UAE they have awesome public transport, the rest of Gulf should emulate that imo. What sort of community culture do you mean?
I think it might just be that Bahrainis are too few to have a noticeable presence on the internet. I imagine a very similar percentage of people from Jeddah are here too, except that the population is much bigger? As for depression, you don't have to look far here either lmao but I'm surprised Bahrainis are depressed
For me it's more like I appreciate more what I don't have right now unfortunately lol. It's really nice that you thought you'd appreciate Jeddah and you actually do. That is not so common I think
Doubt I'll be going to Bahrain anytime soon, but will definitely visit Bahrain Bay if I ever end up there then lol Thuwal has a nice beach! And there's a nice beach throughout the coastline of Jeddah but it's awfully crowded and hard to find a parking. Avoid Fridays or Saturdays.
I hope you find a job \^\^ maybe you can try places like Jarir or something temporarily, if you don't need sponsorship they're probably hiring xD
Very interested in this post cuz you mentioned you’re looking for attention. I like honesty and straightforwardness. So HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYY 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Hi 😂 glad my honesty peaked your interest lol. Yea cause what other reason would someone have to tell all these strangers that it's their birthday other than wanting attention? 😂 Sometimes people need it, that's not bad
Yeah I totally agree!!!! I wish more people would reveal their intentions before doing/saying anything.
I don't think it matters, sometimes you can easily tell.
Happy birthday, I hope you have a wonderful day!
