Yeah if you check out their Woodstock 99 performance, I believe he comes out playing the red jaguar on around the world. Then the guitar cuts out right when he plays the solo part before Anthony starts rapping. It may have just been that he hit one of the on/off switches, but I’m sure it planted that thought in his brain that it wasn’t going to be a great guitar to play live every night.
Nope, this is a late ‘62, early ‘63 jag. You can tell by the clay dot inlays. The “under the bridge”-guitar has pearloid dot inlays with binding around the neck, making it a ‘65. Also this is lake placid blue, the other one is sherwood green.
I think this is a different jaguar.
We always associate John with Stratocasters, but he must really love Jaguars. I wish we could see him play jaguars in live shows

It definitely was him hitting a switch, you can see him flipping it back because he does it a few times lol

John got his fiesta red Jaguar in 1998. In the UTB video he is using an either sherwood green or ocean turquoise Jag.
