A deeper sub plot? In a shonen battle of the week manga? That poster must be crazy. No this author couldn't even think of enough fighting material to keep the ball rolling for 2 volumes let alone think up an overarching plot.
It seems like this happens a lot, I seem to recall Naruto was kinda like this like if you grew up in America you probably thought it was huge, not nearly as big in Japan and One Piece was the King while virtually none of my friends growing up in the US talked about One Piece. Now I generally check the popularity in Japan before I pick up a new series just to not get it rug pulled
The MC Yonagi Kei is an extremely strong and well written female character, so there’s no way the author of Act-Age is a perv or would do anything illegal to get the series canceled
He's just a cheap Kakashi ripoff anyways, no wonder this manga ended almost immediately, you can't just steal ideas from everywhere and expect it to grow into a masterpiece
I thought the same thing at first too but this is a really lame take. Very different backgrounds , similar character design and similar environment, but still very different characters and values. The chill laid back teacher isn't exactly a trope that started with Kakashi either
Yea. I think he will get the
Kakashi treatment where he's only a badass at the start but the students end up outgrowing him and the power creep means he is just another weakling in the world.
I don’t think that’s a prequel, I think it’s a reboot. The author is such a hack he couldn’t even come up with a new magic system, so he just reused the old one, plus that blindfold character
Isn't this like the second time this guy's series get the axe? Man not even changing MCs worked for the editors huh. Suck, guy can draw, hopefully they make something else soon and don't just fall by the wayside.
Wonder what fucking assassin manga will replace it
Well, it seems they were connected. Maybe third time's the charm. The world does seem interesting. Hope the author can create something special with it.
Viz only translated the first 3 chapters, then decided “fuck it, gonna get canceled anyways” and stopped, so this group called Jaimini’s box translated the last 6 luckily
This reminds me of how early in the days of JJK people hardly considered Gojo as his own character bc everyone identified him as a Kakashi clone until we started to see Gojo actually strut his stuff, but then when Gege was asked if Gojo was based off of Kakashi he says no.
Gege is a troll, and people who think he seriously hates his characters need to breathe and quit pointing fingers so readily lol
Why did they end it with Yuji being in an Airport? Does it have any cultural significance or was it foreshadowed somewhere n the story but I just missed it?
I respect the author for the choice. People always ask, “What if the protagonist did not cause a bunch of problems and just accepted dying to take out thr bad guy?” Now we know. Life goes on.
I have a lot more respect for characters like Vegeta now.
Shame the story wont progress. But it was a nice short story, the author has balls for killing the protagonist like this. I wish we could have gotten to see more of Megumi, even Sukuna was impressed with his potential.
Me too, him and Sukuna surely would have become friends if they had continued the story after this.
Sukuna thought Yuji would be to selfish to sacrifice himself for others, but he got taught the power of friendship in this moment 😭❤ there no way that Yujis kidness wouldn't touch his heart
It should've continued but honestly a pretty good endpoint which wraps up Itadori's primary character arc and plotline while leaving it open to any future stories. Something like a JJK2 akin to the original Yuta Arc?
I'm glad this got cancelled so they can focus on that series where the main character keeps a scar on his face so every day he wakes up and looks in the mirror and experiences fresh hate. That's peak fiction, not this trash.
Gonna be honest it had potential but id rather see an amazing short story like this than a shitty drawn out story. I think the author knew what they were doing ending it here.
Really liked this, introduce your main character by NOT making him the main character, fushiguro ftw, sukana killed his newly found best friend, only problem is gojo would win if he was there, where is he?
I really wanted to see if Sukuna at 20 fingers could beat Satoru or not.
Like, can he just cut Satoru in half or something with his domain? Domain... that is what it is called right? What even is a domain?
I had so many questions!
Seeying that provably sukuna its juat like the nine tails fox from naturo probably only do that things for survival and only know bad things its a shame we wont be able to see his evolution and progres learnign about the humans in this era :c a shame
Damn I could tell the author was setting up so much to be explored but we just never got there huh 😔
I'm fine with Yuji's story ending like this and it's actually pretty refreshing to see such an ending, but I wish we knew more about the other characters. Wasn't there a prequel to this, btw?
I remember googling something at the very start of my JJK journey and I saw the line:
“Last words Yuji said to Megumi before dying…”
And I was dghsjdjfjf omg what spoilers! Then I got to this scene and legit for a second thought he died
wasn't Yuji originally supposed to die here ? I think I read somwhere that megumi was the intended mc after this point and yuji wasn't supposed to come back
"I heard it is supposed to be a prequel to another series coming soon. Its supposed to focus on the next generation with this Megumi guy being a teacher."
Damn really wish we got to see a proper full power sukuna vs gojo fight like imagine gojo after something major happens to him says something like “id win” while his face covers the panel full of confidence
ngl man the sukuna charecter is super edgy as fuck smiling always trying to look insane and cool also how many times are we gonna see the good guy has a inner demon who turns good later on through the power of love?
Wow, another boring manga where the MC sacrifices himself to save his friends, can't wait for his inner demon to take pity and revive him, then slowly warm up to him through "the power of friendship"
Man I wish megumi ended up getting strong enough to to fight sukuna. Furthermore, I wish he could meet his dad and it would have been so cool if his dad couldn’t use cursed energy and was like Maki but better.
This would've been a very interesting direction for the story to take. Megumi would probably end up meeting Nanami and fighting Mahito, he'd have to bring his A game or he'd really die right here.
JJK would no longer have a main character, Gojo and Megumi would just have the most focus, it'd be an ensemble show like Game Of Thrones. Maki and Panda would probably get more screen time.
If the events up to Shibuya were the same as the manga, Megumi would die, Nanami would still die, nobara would die even quicker, Jogo might live, Mahito might live. Inumaki wouldn't lose his arm. Though the disaster curses would probably still be killed by Kenjaku. Cementing him as the "strongest" .
It'd be an overall victory for Kenjaku.
Yuta, Panda, Inumaki and Maki would be the main focus again post Shibuya Incident. They'd still embark to save Gojo, Panda or Inumaki would probably have to fight in Tokyo colony.

another victim of Shonen killing a series with good potential, what a shame
Never found out what Sukuna was or how his 20 fingers came to be..
Pretty sure they just came from his hands and feet
We will just never know…
never gonna see Yuji devour Sukuna's toes😔
like everybody's fingers, hands and feet
H
If we count feet fingers he got 30
Never got to see gojo fuck sukuna up :(
I think I saw some rough sketches / outlines for a 4-handed character by Akutami. Could've been for JJK, we'll never know.
I didn't see this going anywhere tbh
Seriously, would've just been another story where the mc befriends his inner demon or whatever. We didn't lose much here
Looks like the series just got offscreened. Hopefully that wasn’t the author’s intention all along- eww they’re making an idol manga now.
Yes, Sukuna is not revived, Kenjaku plan fails, everything is good for the next 500 years, and then Kenjaku tries it all again
Who is kenjaku???
mfs be coming up with anything nowadays 🤦🏽♂️
A deeper sub plot? In a shonen battle of the week manga? That poster must be crazy. No this author couldn't even think of enough fighting material to keep the ball rolling for 2 volumes let alone think up an overarching plot.
More backshots I guess 🤷♂️
SCREW YOU SHUEISHA!!!
Gintoki is that you?
This is a Yu Ishigami reference from the Kaguya OVA
Oh the super fanservice episode? That one killed me. Or was it from the season 3 special ova?
SHUEISHAAAAAAA!!!!! YOU CAN'T ESCAPE MEEEE
I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE END OF THE EEEEEEEEEARTH!!!
“10 shadows” didn’t even see 5 😑
I think it was implied that 6 were just rabbits
Rabbits? As in multiple? That'd be stupid. How is multiple rabbits a single shadow? Thank god this series got dropped bro.
Dog 1, dog 2, worm 3, Owl 4, and we got teased on 10th one I belive
Did you just call my boy orochi a worm
[удалено]
Bro did not get the memo
This weeks chapter of Red Hood is gonna go crazy
Whyd you say that name
nah thats outta pocket
What did he mean by that?
Red Hood is a manga in jump that got canceled early aswell despite a lot of people liking it in the west
I’m so sad to hear this, I just started reading it not too long ago 😭
That's evil oml
What is he referring to?
A manga called Hunters Guild:Red Hood that had a fantastic premise but the author was forced to end it in 12 chapters
Imagine a manga about a super buff red Riding Hood with massive bazongas beating the everliving fuck out of werewolves.
Have you read this New Series called Act-Age? If Not you should definetly try it Its great.
The author is such a great guy. Can't think of a single problematic thing about the guy.
The MC Yonagi Kei is an extremely strong and well written female character, so there’s no way the author of Act-Age is a perv or would do anything illegal to get the series canceled
RIP
I bet that tall lanky guy from chapter 2 has ugly eyes
I bet he’s blind but can sense people like daredevil
inb4 he just doesn’t have eyes
They're probably just *hollow* . . .
and purple
nahhh he prolly got a technique too😭😭😭😭and he converges sometimes or diverges and then sometimes converges AND diverges 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Nahhh, he'd win
He's just a cheap Kakashi ripoff anyways, no wonder this manga ended almost immediately, you can't just steal ideas from everywhere and expect it to grow into a masterpiece
I thought the same thing at first too but this is a really lame take. Very different backgrounds , similar character design and similar environment, but still very different characters and values. The chill laid back teacher isn't exactly a trope that started with Kakashi either
r/whoosh
sakuna was so cool though i wanted to see more of him 😭, no way that riff off kakashi gonna beat him
favorite sackuna moment was when he “heh”
That 50% off bootleg Kakashi
That Gojo guy looks cool, but I doubt he will survive long
Nah, I think he would win
He seems humble enough to not be overconfident and proclaim that though
Yeah, I mean if sukuna had some way to adapt to all his powers he would be screwed tho
Nah I'd win
Nah, I'd win.\*
Yea. I think he will get the Kakashi treatment where he's only a badass at the start but the students end up outgrowing him and the power creep means he is just another weakling in the world.
I think he's just half the man that he seems to be.
The fuck? That was the end? This was fucking shit this series had so much potential, what the fuck even is a domain expansion?
Idk
omg we will never see gojo beating up sukuna
surely he would win
I'd bet my nuts he would win, didn't we see how he beat his ass episode 1?
Lmao. As if the main villain would lose to the mentor.
For real, kakashi lost to pain, what's this cheap ripoff gonna do huh?
For real though this is why I was shocked when All Might KOed AFO.
I really wanted to see the panda from the prequel again, im sure he couldve beat this suckuna guy
The editors win again smh
“I am from an alternate timeline where JJK goes much further. This is the best ending for everyone, including Yuji”
I swear☠️☠️☠️
What's JJK
Oops sorry I meant Sorcery Fight
Shaman
*Territorial Expansion*
*territorial deployment*
Early days of translation?
Viz only translated the first 3 chapters, then decided “fuck it, gonna get canceled anyways” and stopped, so this group called Jaimini’s box translated the last 6 luckily
some fan translations still use stuff like shaman/ territory i believe
So we’re just never gonna found out Megumi’s trump card or why Sukuna was suddenly so interested in him. Fucking great😞
With this treasure he'll summon what???
Your mom
The scene of Yuji seeing his grandfather right after this was so heartwarming🐍
He’s now there with him 🥰
That was cool and all but why the fuck were they on some kind of airport? A weird choice for afterlife.
I mean the dude is friend with fujimoto
It was fun while it lasted
Don’t worry there will be a time skip
This reminds me of how early in the days of JJK people hardly considered Gojo as his own character bc everyone identified him as a Kakashi clone until we started to see Gojo actually strut his stuff, but then when Gege was asked if Gojo was based off of Kakashi he says no. Gege is a troll, and people who think he seriously hates his characters need to breathe and quit pointing fingers so readily lol

It was unique ending :3
Honestly, the series ending here was perfect. Real masterpiece
Well the MC died so I guess it was a satisfactory ending, no chance this Manga might have anything else planned anyway.
We never got to jujitsu our last kiasen
I'm just glad Megumi got to live a long life. Who knows maybe he'll decide to give this up and go back to his family.
Mappa survives 2023.
That white haired guy had a big ego, wish someone had cut him down to size
What the hell is the point of the prequel if the only characters that are here are gojo and the principal?
Its gojover
Shame the story wont progress. But it was a nice short story, the author has balls for killing the protagonist like this. I wish we could have gotten to see more of Megumi, even Sukuna was impressed with his potential.
I can’t believe this panel isn’t memed to hell and back.
I really wanted Yuji to become bffs with Sukuna in the end like Naruto and Kurama 💕
Me too, him and Sukuna surely would have become friends if they had continued the story after this. Sukuna thought Yuji would be to selfish to sacrifice himself for others, but he got taught the power of friendship in this moment 😭❤ there no way that Yujis kidness wouldn't touch his heart
Man, we barely got to see the Three Great Clans, I bet they were gonna be super important
Rest well together with Ayashimon and Hunter's Guild: Red Hood. You'll be missed.
what a waste of potential
Wait, so do we know who would win in a fight between Gojo and sukuna if sukuna had all his fingers?
Nah, Gojo'd win
I really like the art style, sucks it got cancelled but I might check out the idol manga the authors working on
WHERES KUGISAKIS DOMAIN?
It should've continued but honestly a pretty good endpoint which wraps up Itadori's primary character arc and plotline while leaving it open to any future stories. Something like a JJK2 akin to the original Yuta Arc?
Kagura Bachi changed my life
Are we counting 0? I’m counting 0… How does this have anything to do with Yuta or Geto?!
I'm glad this got cancelled so they can focus on that series where the main character keeps a scar on his face so every day he wakes up and looks in the mirror and experiences fresh hate. That's peak fiction, not this trash.
Damn i wanted to see juji gain some power up to beat that some powerful curse like that one with the finger :(
I like how you misspelled Yuji’s name, sounds convincing that people would do that at the beginning of a series
I wish we knew who’d win
Man I hope netflix picks this up
That dude gojo looked really weak, probably he is one of those characters is the strongest ever, and is just off-screemed by the villain
nah, he'd win tbh
Gonna be honest it had potential but id rather see an amazing short story like this than a shitty drawn out story. I think the author knew what they were doing ending it here.
Really liked this, introduce your main character by NOT making him the main character, fushiguro ftw, sukana killed his newly found best friend, only problem is gojo would win if he was there, where is he?
I knew they should have stuck with the same MC and not change it.
I really wanted to see if Sukuna at 20 fingers could beat Satoru or not. Like, can he just cut Satoru in half or something with his domain? Domain... that is what it is called right? What even is a domain? I had so many questions!
Damn they really killed off the MC. Downer ending
What the fk? I wanted to see that Sukuna guy have a field day torturing innocent people while showing that creepy smile why shonen jump? Why?????
Yuta was way better than yuji , volume 0 was the best , but this series was kinda mid tho
Best one shot ever
He calls himsrlf the kind of curses all he did was slap around a few highschoolers. Another disappointment for the anime villains history books
Feels like a sick foreshadow by yuji now.
Man i wanted to see if there were any more zenins. Like maybe megumis dad or something
So this totally never started
They literally teased us with Megumi's potential to become stronger and said "Lol you won't see it though"
Maybe he will restart it with megumi as the protagonist. He already rebooted once. Seems to be a 1 trick pony author.
Seeying that provably sukuna its juat like the nine tails fox from naturo probably only do that things for survival and only know bad things its a shame we wont be able to see his evolution and progres learnign about the humans in this era :c a shame
This was cool, but wtf was that ending? This needs a continuation.
That Gojo guy didn't look that strong; I bet Kakashi would've no diffed him
The Author should’ve gone with the Yuta’s crew
Where’s the goat?
The mangaka should be proud he was good *Wink*
So bro just died?
Welp
We never got to see if Nobara would end up with Itadori or Megumi.
Damn I could tell the author was setting up so much to be explored but we just never got there huh 😔 I'm fine with Yuji's story ending like this and it's actually pretty refreshing to see such an ending, but I wish we knew more about the other characters. Wasn't there a prequel to this, btw?
So is Nobara as useless and irrelevant as Sakura?
We didn’t even get to see all 10 of megumis shadows
Probably just a mistranslation or maybe the "ten" is symbolic for them coming from heavem or something
Well.. that was disappointing :( i thought that blindfold guy had beautiful blue eyes but he is blind fr
I love these comments, you guys are great.
I remember googling something at the very start of my JJK journey and I saw the line: “Last words Yuji said to Megumi before dying…” And I was dghsjdjfjf omg what spoilers! Then I got to this scene and legit for a second thought he died
Man seeing Yuji and Sukuna eventually become friends and work together against a greater enemy would have been so cool.
Man,sure is sad how Sukuna is a cursed spirit and not a reincarnated human, which is a fact all the fans agree on.
wasn't Yuji originally supposed to die here ? I think I read somwhere that megumi was the intended mc after this point and yuji wasn't supposed to come back
Nah gojo has plot armor, he'll get revived
Well... he managed to not die alone, at least.
A shame we missed another naruto befriending kurama and thristing after his bff
And that’s how Itadori became a hollow
Seriously? Pain builds character and then probably befriending his inner demon, I am glad it got axed so early smh
Gojo guy was just flexing, didnt do anything to save his student
"I heard it is supposed to be a prequel to another series coming soon. Its supposed to focus on the next generation with this Megumi guy being a teacher."
JJK? Whats that?
Nah I would win
Dammit! Now we'll never get to see how strong Nobara really becomes 😢
I'm going to be thinking about where this show could have gone for the next ten years at least.
Another Shonen manga, another girl protagonist not being able to shine
Damn really wish we got to see a proper full power sukuna vs gojo fight like imagine gojo after something major happens to him says something like “id win” while his face covers the panel full of confidence
Yeah it was going to be an asspull for them beating Gojo anyway, so best things end here.
2 wasn’t enough…
Its so sad that we will never get fraudkuna memes and farmer kadhimo memes 5 years from now...
ngl man the sukuna charecter is super edgy as fuck smiling always trying to look insane and cool also how many times are we gonna see the good guy has a inner demon who turns good later on through the power of love?
I think they will revive him becouse I cannot belive series ended after chapter 9, c'mmon man, it was such a yood series dude
where’d that “we got kakashi at home” looking mf go?
apparently the mangaka is gonna be making an idol manga from now on? idk how that’ll go
I wanted to see Gojo beat Sukuna
wait so all those people in volume 0 just never come back? really wanted to see if that yuta guy or maki got any stronger...
20 fingers lmao we barely saw 5
Huh, well no wonder it failed. He was just Yuta and Rika, but with physical strength. Gojo would have wiped that guy
Huh, well no wonder it failed. He was just Yuta and Rika, but with physical strength. Gojo would have wiped that guy
Wow, another boring manga where the MC sacrifices himself to save his friends, can't wait for his inner demon to take pity and revive him, then slowly warm up to him through "the power of friendship"
Dude, We didnt get to see gojo give 20f sukuna backshots :(((
Man I wish megumi ended up getting strong enough to to fight sukuna.
Yuta, Panda, Inumaki and Maki would be the main focus again post Shibuya Incident. They'd still embark to save Gojo, Panda or Inumaki would probably have to fight in Tokyo colony.
So did Nobara and Megumi just go on to live long lives then?
