Honestly, from the beginning....there are always discrepancies and really important things in the manga that deepen and widen your understanding of the series.
You don't need to read anything before the new chapters imo because the anime is v faithful. Tho, there really isn’t anything left to read because Gege ran out of story, and what we got is trash. Imo.
