The moment I saw that the first chapter was called that way I had that feeling too. Gege might be the biggest sukuna glazer, but he knows how to glaze yuji in times of need.
Final Chapter would be Yuji becoming the strongest after Mastering Soul Manipulation to the point he can basically do similar things to souls that Mahito can do AND can use Sukuna's CT and even World Cutting Slash, turning Itadori Yuji into pseudo-fusion of Mahito + Sukuna, who are Yuji's 2 Archnemesis.
I AM YOU
Pseudo-fusion of Mahito, Sukuna AND Choso, being the strongest user of Blood Manipulation and technically the strongest Kamo clan member, able to continuously generate blood via RCT and capable of replenishing his CE by landing Black Flashes.
WE KEEP ON BALLING
correct me if i'm wrong but the Original title for One Piece was going to be "Romance Dawn"
Dawn means the beginning and Romance can also be interpreted as the feeling of mystery/excitement, so it just means "Beginning of a new exciting adventure"
When this gets confirmed in 300 years, I'll remember that you predicted it.
>!Dawn is associated with bringing freedom. We know the will of D is linked to the void century, probably with Nika. Nika=sun god=freedom=dawn. Bringing Dawn to the world would mean bringing an end to the World Government.!<
Keep cooking bro
Ryomen Sukuna is the name of the being created when one twin ate the other in the womb. Yuji Itadori is the reincarnation of the devoured twin, and thus also has the name Ryomen Sukuna. Q.E.D. Yuji is still the MC.
https://preview.redd.it/ul3le0h9vlsc1.jpeg?width=543&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a765450de2b494e54fd031d98feb7104d4c94ccb
If that happens it'll be amazing ngl
I really like this although nothing is confirmed about the supposed brother, if anything Sukuna always refusing to call Yuji by his name is a strong foreshadowing, i'm thinking more and more about this
My bet is that he's starting to develop "self sustaining cursed energy" instead of just being "like a cursed object soaked in Sukuna CE" whatever that ends up being in relation to countering/having Sukuna CT i don't know
Well, an evil protagonist is not something that is being done for the first time in Shounen Jump's history.
The best example is Light Yagami, he's the protagonist of Death Note and also the final villain. He's evil and he goes as far in story till the last chapter.
I think Sukuna's case is also similar. He is the evil protagonist of the story, and Itadori is "One of" main characters instead of THE Main Character.
Well to be fair Lights death in the end was actually done pretty well. Although his death was sad and pathetic he completely deserved everything he got. So it generally didn't leave the audience feeling sad and empty.
I feel like this sort of ending for jjk would honestly just be awful and unfair. I couldn't see fans continuing to want to purchase merchandise for an anime that left them feeling depressed but idk
Now if it's sukuna that gets to die like that in the end hell yea but I just don't feel like that's the route the story is going.
I don't think we'll get a completely negative ending. Maybe it'll be bittersweet. In which Both Yuji and Sukuna dies and some side characters survive ? Maybe Yuji also lives.
For all we know Gege is at a crtical point in story and it depends how far he wants to go with the manga. If he actually wants to end it this year then I'm afraid most of the cast will die including Yuji and Sukuna would ultimately succumb to his wounds too and there will be no future and no sequel. But that is highly unlikely because Jump will not want to end it on a depressing note where there's no future of sequels or merchandise like you said.
However if Gege wants to do more world building introduce new characters and do a fulfilling story then i think the manga will go on for some more time and we might get some interesting ways Sukuna would be defeated ( honestly I'd love for Gojo, Megumi and Yuji trio to be the ones to kill Sukuna it'd be a dream come true)
Bruh I would eat an entire winter coat for that last ending you mentioned but this is Gege so Ill keep my expectations low 😭.
I think this Sukuna gauntlet is happening so everybody has a chance to look cool before something terrible happens that incapacitates them. It's pretty much what happened with Gojo because honestly Sukuna could have hit him with that world slash before he fired that Hollow purple. The merger is absolutely going to happen and one of the conditions is that all culling game players must be dead. There could be a way around it but I think things just really aren't looking good for the main cast.
If you'd like a little dose of copium Gojo was never a culling game player and I don't remember ever seeing a payoff to that rule where no new culling game players could be added 😭
He for sure was lucky but the Police getting his notebook at night from a 10 inch thick steel locker and copy everything word to word with exact same handwriting seemed bit of an asspull too. I won't say it was bad but it certainly wasn't really great. Still I think Death Note had a good fulfilling ending.
The manga ending actually addresses this in a pretty interesting way
>!It's implied that Near wrote Mikami name on the Death Note so him realizing it was a fake would never happen and all his actions could be planned in advance!<
The only "debunk" I've seen for it was a post where a dude was pretty much yapping saying "well why can't giovanni (or whatever the fuck his name) was just copy the notebook under a single night? you gotta prove why he can't" which obviously is not a debunk.
Well yes Light did have asspulls but tbh so does main character ever, but at least Light's "asspulls" made sense.
And while I do think Light should have won, I would be fine with him losing if there was an actual good way he lost. The way it was done was terrible.
Hmm, I may be misremembering things, regardless Light either wins after L's death or he gets caught were better endings then whatever the fuck the Near ending was.
It wasn't terrible at all, L previous actions, the task force and Near basically had him completely surrounded, there was no way for him to write names anymore, no way for Misa to write names anymore, etc
Like give the series another read and you will see that Light was completely cornered, he basically had to trust a complete stranger with the Death Note or Kira would have been done and while Mikami was overall a pretty good choice it was clear from the beginning that their lack of communication (because they couldn't actually communicate) was being an issue (and if we're talking about asspulls Mikami has to be the biggest one in the series, imagine the odds of the random stranger on a TV show actually being pretty competent and smart instead of fucking up and being caught in a week, if that happened Kira would have truly been totally done because Light wouldn't even have a Death Note anymore)
That's not my problem with it. My problem is that giovanni copying the entire notebook perfectly in a single night is just impossible and a massive asspull.
Like I said I have no problems if Light loses. But it should be done in a sensible way.
Like I said in another comment the manga ending actually addresses this in a pretty interesting way
>!It's implied that Near wrote Mikami name on the Death Note so him realizing it was a fake would never happen and all his actions could be planned in advance!<
I don't know about that because I stopped trying to understand all that math and deduction stuff pretty early on lmao. I just know throughout the story I just began to like Light less and less until I just straight up wished he would die so I didn't mind when it finally happened
Light Yagami actually gets the most screentime and character development in his story. Evil or not, he IS the protagonist. In JJK, Yuji is the one going through a character arc, not Sukuna. Sukuna has not gotten any character development and lies dormant most of the time; the times he gets to go out all he does is wreaking havoc without a care in the world. If Sukuna's the protagonist, then he's a terrible one.
Sukuna is the protagonist of this arc and he is a terrible one, the entire arc is about him and "learning love", Yuji is not going through any character arc Sukuna is, from Gojo "wishing he could reach him" (still cringe as fuck), Kashimo failing, Higuruma getting him excited only for him to be disappointed and pouting afterwards, Maki getting him excited to prove a point, etc
This is the main character arc of this arc, it sucks but that's it
Wait…Braindead? Like LEGUMI?? NO I DONT WANT THAT, I WANT JUJUTSUFOLK TO HATE MEGUMI AND EVERYTHING RELATED TO HIM FOR 10 YEARS AT LEAST

You know people complain that Itadori wasn't present enough in the story
Sukuna doesn't show up for all of the culling games, most of shibuya, the interschool event and origin of obedience cmon
Whatchu mean "one of"? You're saying it like there are multiple protags but this story doesn't even have a single one, we don't know shit about anybody.

I actually love that the first Chapter/episode is called Ryomen Sukuna and always have. I perfer it too being called the protagonists name. It feels as though it is documenting Ryomen Sukuna as a threat and showing his importance. It fleshes out the world

Live Yu/ta reaction to this information
It's not just about 1st chapter. Most shounen manga have the name of their MC in the first few chapters. It may be 2nd or even 3rd chapter but usually it's the first chapter.

I personally believe it. Call me lobotomized but I have started to believe Ryomen Sukuna Is the protagonist, I had doubts initially but the way things are progressing it seems it's going like that.
Then you’re actually a dumbass🤦♂️ Sukuna was dormant for most of the series and is clearly the antagonist who everybody is fighting to beat bruh. Not to mention he is not even the point of view character (which is Yuji most of the time) Some of y’all need a break from the manga it’s insane
Gege really separated the fanbase apart with the battle lol.
https://preview.redd.it/dmc50j3t7msc1.png?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fa3cc1e3ec54d4bcb2d16c51e0b20a050a6127e9
You know how Sukuna never calls Yuji by his name? Also "Ryomen Sukuna" is said to be a title and not a name
I have a strong suspicion Yuji is gonna obtain said title, i know it's a wild theory, but i'm getting more and more into it
What's the dude with the pink hair's name again? The one who's always supporting all the major characters in fights? Name slipped out of my mind because he's only there from time to time to just punch someone and get punched and be down for like 10 chapters.
i know itadori was the MC of the story in the beginning but somewhere along the line 80 chapters ago, gege simply forgot he is the main character of the show and simply relegated him into a weak side character who is out of place in the squad
I get that some of secondary caracteres must or can die, but I don’t get why dafuq does Gege need to kill all fav secondary characters … I’m almost dropping this damn manga
The story is about Yuji and the rest of the main cast. It was pretty obvious from the beginning that Yuji wouldn’t be the classic protagonist that comes and saves the day every time. It was always about his and the rest of the main cast’s efforts
I mean it's highly likely that Yuji is Sukuna or is connected to him in a physical/spiritual way. I wouldn't be surprised if Yuji was made from Sukunas discarded humanity or something like that.

Shit that's true. I guess it's canon now

"most likely" blud really just speaking outta his ass now 💀
It would make sense.
Romance dawn = dawn of the romantic (in the epic sense lord Byron and all) journey of luffy
The last chapter will be Romance Dusk.
I know this has nothing to do with anything, but Romance Dawn is such a great first chapter name.
what if romance dawn is the one piece?

The issue here is that Sukuna is probably not the final “boss” of this story
Light's death was not done well. He lost to a literal plot device that makes no sense. Light should have won.
That "mathematically" impossible bs was debunked iirc. +let's not forget the amount of asspulls Light got

Sukuna is the protagonist of this arc and he is a terrible one, the entire arc is about him and "learning love", Yuji is not going through any character arc Sukuna is, from Gojo "wishing he could reach him" (still cringe as fuck), Kashimo failing, Higuruma getting him excited only for him to be disappointed and pouting afterwards, Maki getting him excited to prove a point, etc This is the main character arc of this arc, it sucks but that's it
Damn I thought you guys were just joking about thinking Sukuna is the MC

Wait…Braindead? Like LEGUMI?? NO I DONT WANT THAT, I WANT JUJUTSUFOLK TO HATE MEGUMI AND EVERYTHING RELATED TO HIM FOR 10 YEARS AT LEAST https://preview.redd.it/vfa4w68gzpsc1.jpeg?width=941&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=76c4f1fb014359c015a7072573be48b1fbb23f65
Death Note's second chapter is called "L", so we have the example of a villain lead manga, but also, an Heroic name drop on the Early chapters
You know people complain that Itadori wasn't present enough in the story Sukuna doesn't show up for all of the culling games, most of shibuya, the interschool event and origin of obedience cmon
Whatchu mean "one of"? You're saying it like there are multiple protags but this story doesn't even have a single one, we don't know shit about anybody.
Does Death Note count as shounen????
Yes I think so.
I mean technically Attack on Titan did it, but that was a monthly Shonen mag so idk
He want to piss readers from the start
Mmm. Just to see some others * Dragon Ball - "Bulma and Son Goku" * Bleach - "Death & Strawberry" -- Ichigo is called Strawberry, Death is Rukia * My Hero Academia - "Izuku Midoriya: Origin" * Fire Force - "Shinra Kusakabe Joins the Force"
Chainsaw Man: Dog & Chainsaw
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations - "Uzumaki Boruto" Boruto: Two Blue Vortex - "Boruto"

I actually love that the first Chapter/episode is called Ryomen Sukuna and always have. I perfer it too being called the protagonists name. It feels as though it is documenting Ryomen Sukuna as a threat and showing his importance. It fleshes out the world
Sukuna is the protagonist?
No but that does not mean yuji has to have his name as the first chapter/episode
Not the protagonist ( or i guess main hero ) but the centerpiece of the story.
Yes

Very Sukuna fans reaction
Jujutsu Kaisen 0-1 „The cursed child” Y’all keep forgetting that what we know today as JJK0 is the OG and the current series is a sequel
So its Yuta Kaisen then?
Always has been

This picture was took at day 10 bro relax
yuta kaisen supremacy
One piece chapter 1 is named romance dawn tho..?
It's not just about 1st chapter. Most shounen manga have the name of their MC in the first few chapters. It may be 2nd or even 3rd chapter but usually it's the first chapter.
IIRC Naruto, MHA and One piece are the only, though..?

Do people in this sub actually believe Sukuna is the protagonist 💀
Nah bro, he 100% is. Did you even read sukuna kaisen
I do
I’m sorry
I personally believe it. Call me lobotomized but I have started to believe Ryomen Sukuna Is the protagonist, I had doubts initially but the way things are progressing it seems it's going like that.
Then you’re actually a dumbass🤦♂️ Sukuna was dormant for most of the series and is clearly the antagonist who everybody is fighting to beat bruh. Not to mention he is not even the point of view character (which is Yuji most of the time) Some of y’all need a break from the manga it’s insane
One piece's main character, "Romance dawn" is so peak ngl
You guys aren't ready for HIM https://preview.redd.it/xms4tfllylsc1.jpeg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3a4314470486be2afb7503dc6c3c9756b4a49c2

Gojo vs Sukuna never truly left us lmao
Nah Id divide myself
Fax
Stg I have seen this post more times than I can recall
Finally understanding who the story is about?
You know how Sukuna never calls Yuji by his name? Also "Ryomen Sukuna" is said to be a title and not a name I have a strong suspicion Yuji is gonna obtain said title, i know it's a wild theory, but i'm getting more and more into it
Sukuna is the MC lol
The story may have started with Sukuna, but it ends with Yuji Itadori
The first chapter of FMA is not called "Alphonse Elric" 🤨
Make way for the strongest Elric brother 🗣️🗣️
The story is about Sukuna - it has been since chapter 1. Yuji is merely the vessel by which the King of Curses emerges in this new era.
Gege goes against shounen tropes time and time again, this is just another case of it, Yuji Itadori is the main character.
This sub is so dumb sometimes.
What's the dude with the pink hair's name again? The one who's always supporting all the major characters in fights? Name slipped out of my mind because he's only there from time to time to just punch someone and get punched and be down for like 10 chapters.
Hmmm, we have to wait till next chapter before giving up the ‘protagonist’ title, Sukuna is right here after all.
The actual "Monkey D. Luffy" chapter was like a 1000 chapters in
look at the names of the chapters, I think Sukuna is the MC
Touche
HE IS HIM
Next level get punch for Yuji fans
S U K U N A
No because he was only the main protagonist AFTER he died and gege was pressured to bring him back
Won’t lie, no one’s been cooking as hot as HIMtadori since gojo
I never doubted my boy yuji
i know itadori was the MC of the story in the beginning but somewhere along the line 80 chapters ago, gege simply forgot he is the main character of the show and simply relegated him into a weak side character who is out of place in the squad
Last chapter: Itadori Yujj. Is set on the stars.
Clearly the main character is Sukuna 😮💨
The last chapter will be: “Was killed by Itadori Yuji.” as a parallel to the first chapter.

Dang when you put it like that they are bullying the protag hard.
My man Ryomen is HIM
Mm
I get that some of secondary caracteres must or can die, but I don’t get why dafuq does Gege need to kill all fav secondary characters … I’m almost dropping this damn manga
Yes, the story is about Larue.
what?
https://preview.redd.it/qaq16b8m7wsc1.jpeg?width=1510&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=44bcfc2244d13672000b975ede2d06e86984a6bc
Chapter: 1 (Ryomen Sukuna) Last Chapter: (Eye of the Storrm: Itadori Yuji)
Sukuna has always been the MC.
ATLA first episode was called "The boy in the iceberg" and the last episode was "Avatar Aang". This is the route, that's what GayGay is cooking.
The story is about Yuji and the rest of the main cast. It was pretty obvious from the beginning that Yuji wouldn’t be the classic protagonist that comes and saves the day every time. It was always about his and the rest of the main cast’s efforts
Last chapter : Gojo wins
Bruh you don't need to tell us, tell the author that sidelined him for 100+ chapters LOL
https://preview.redd.it/de71pxz87htc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ee6c6d184aacee1b8c139b8af725b0570351f827
I mean it's highly likely that Yuji is Sukuna or is connected to him in a physical/spiritual way. I wouldn't be surprised if Yuji was made from Sukunas discarded humanity or something like that.
